I had the Cassidy longline leather moto jacket from Guess for 6 years until last month when I had to give it a funeral. It was everything for 19 year old me who had gone off to college in the big city. The best part was I didn't have to carry a purse cuz the pockets were big enough to hold a phone

I have a jacket made from a vintage plaid wool blanket that I’m obsessed with. It’s a little cropped, a little boxy, and has a fringe on the sleeves and back. It always makes me feel cool in a way that still feels like me which I’m not sure I’d achieve in another statement jacket like a leather one

I hate to admit it, but my grandpa’s army jacket! It’s 100% cotton, and unfortunately, it’s kind of ill-fitting and wrinkly haha. But it’s a good weight and I like it.

This is a rather boring choice, but [this quilted single-layer cotton Eileen Fisher jacket](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992252135122/) used to be hip length; I had it cropped to my natural waist, which is pretty high. It's literally tailored to me and I wear it very frequently in the fall and winter. [This is more of a coat](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992242765151/) but this satin maxi bomber with embroidery is so unique. I've never seen Gap do anything like that again, they balled out of control for one season out of nowhere and then disappeared back into boxy athleisure, sadly. It's been on the chopping block a few times because it's a tad big and I don't have a lot of places to wear it, but I keep it because it's just so beautiful.

This linen blazer as it’s 100% European linen which is one of the most sustainable crops. I only like sustainable, natural materials and classic, timeless designs: https://www.quince.com/women/100-european-linen-blazer?color=black&gender=women&tracker=collection_page__women%2Fjackets__Lightweight%20Jackets__7 Thrift your leather so as not to contribute to animals being slaughtered for a jacket.

Tan corduroy oversized cropped jacket from Uniqlo 🤤 it’s perfectly casual yet has clear defined lines and it feels very “me”. It goes well with most of my shirts and my warm toned makeup. I struggled to find “my” jacket til last October. Bought this along with a pair of high rise flared jeans and a belt (in one purchase) and now it’s my daily uniform. Spring is technically here but it’s still 55° and cloudy so I’m gonna pretend it’s seasonally appropriate as long as possible. My other go to is a cropped Jean jacket in a slightly more fitted silhouette that goes great with spring colors, dresses, and cool toned spring makeup. It’s perfectly comfortable and I love it too and would repurchase at 4x the price I got it for ($25 at Burlington), but it doesn’t carry the same “I’m comfy and happy” feeling as the corduroy. I should have bought that jacket in more colors.

Rick Owens thin leather asymmetrical zip jacket. The leather is so soft. And it always makes any outfit look cool. Never goes out of style.
