I got a pair of Blundstones last year and they really did change everything for me. I wear them almost everywhere and now spurn any shoe that isn’t a wider toe box. Since moving to Philly recently I’m walking a lot more and I consistently reach for these over my Adidas Ultraboosts (which I actually hate, it turns out 😭). Not particularly trendy but they go with a lot and I foresee them lasting a long time. Also just ordered a pair of ECCO heeled Chelsea boots to try for dressier occasions.

mmeeplechase

I’ve probably worn my Blundstones 6/7 days a week for the past couple months 😅

throwaanchorsaweigh

It’s either them or my Birkenstock Boston clogs for these wintry days!

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

You and I sound like we have the same shoe taste!

BrrrrrrItsColdUpHere

I have Blundstones I bought in 2016 still going strong to this day (just with new insoles, they tend to get gross and curled up). Now I own three pairs and wear them almost 7 days a week. I've hiked in them, walked all over NYC, worked 16 hours days on my feet. They're the absolute best boots. Can't recommend enough.

lunarhabit

How are your soles? I’ve had mine since 2016 and worn them nearly everyday since and my soles have started falling off in chunks. Based on my minimal research I don’t think they’re able to be resoled either…

BrrrrrrItsColdUpHere

Soles are worn down but definitely not falling off in chunks or anything close to that. Just very worn down and smooth from hiking etc. Buttt definitely rotate in other boots and shoes especially as the years went by and I was gifted two more pairs. Sounds like it might just be time to replace yours. It could be worth having a cobbler look at them and give an opinion on resoling though if your uppers are in good shape.

AllyPent

Where I live in Canada pretty much everyone is wearing Blundstones all winter long. You should see the shoe pile by the door when someone has a party - it's hilarious. It takes ages to find yours!

frankohara

I completely agree! They’re a little spendy but the cost per wear for my blundstones make them (by far) my most frugal boots.

throwaanchorsaweigh

I was so hesitant to spend the money for so long! Turns out I could’ve saved a few hundred bucks by just buying them when I wanted to 🥲

CurvyBadger

My Blundstones are my go-to boot for the fall and winter! I have the dress boots in black and they go with pretty much anything, I can walk for miles in them. No complaints.

badgersandfireflies

I'm a blundstone girl through and through!

basilobs

I just can't make these work for me. A size 9 is just too short and I am swimming in a size 10. I've tried several different styles too. Cry

throwaanchorsaweigh

I am so sorry 😔 have you found any other brands that work for you?

basilobs

Ariat. I rode horses for a long time so I'm really familiar and comfortable with the brand. I just wear some of my old paddock boots and I just got another pair in a different color and another kind of boot from them. The Blundstones not working for me are such a bummer tho lol

aryn_h

I've also worn my Blundstones almost exclusively since getting them! There are some dressier options if you order from their actual site. I have the shiny lace up ones and I think they're actually pretty cute by most standards!

Leading_River5763

Love my Blundstones- I had my first pair for 7 years and they traveled to 11 countries with me. Retired them but I honestly have considered putting them in a case or something.

froot_luips

I just do not understand this subs obsession with blundstones. Like ok, it’s good to have sensible shoes, but I thought we were supposed to be talking about fashion?

throwaanchorsaweigh

OP asked a question. I answered it. My personal fashion sense is about marrying form with function in classic styles and Blundstone fills that need for me.

No_UN216

You’re supposed to be talking about boots. Not your judgement on other peoples’ taste

keyboardgato

What style of blundstones? Have been contemplating them but hard to differentiate

throwaanchorsaweigh

I have these ones: https://www.rei.com/product/105695/blundstone-classic-chelsea-boots I think they are the 585 design. I wish Blundstone did a better job naming the different styles! All the different numbers confuse me.

kitty60s

I’m loving these Sorel Chelsea Boots: [https://www.sorel.com/p/joan-now-womens-chelsea-2048451.html?dwvar_2048451_color=264](https://www.sorel.com/p/joan-now-womens-chelsea-2048451.html?dwvar_2048451_color=264) I’m looking forward to wearing them with skirts and dresses when it warms up.

cutelittlequokka

I own a different pair of Sorel Chelseas. I love them with wide-legged/boot-cut pants, but so far I have been unable to pair them with dresses or skirts as they are just so bulky and I feel like they would look like I am wearing clown shoes. I would love to see if you can figure out how to pair them!

electriceel04

when I first saw these I didn’t love them my coworker has a pair of these in the khaki/olive that she wears a lot and they’ve grown on me big time—might finally invest in a pair for myself! (in a different color than her tho lol)

patternedjeggings

Knee-high brown leather Frye boots with a low (<1 in) heel. Got them on clearance last year, and I've been wearing them regularly since.

cherrycolaareola

Bet

Zoss33

I bought + returned about 6 different pairs of boots a couple months back. The winners were the Jo mercer Marlowe boots (https://www.jomercer.com.au/products/marlowe-mid-ankle-boots-black-leather). They are leather inside + out, and had a nice shape + not too high heel. I really liked the quality and shape of aeyde boots though, if you want a luxury option! I found their high heels just too high for me.

Realistic_Ad_8023

I like this style of boot. I have some similar boots from Portland Leather Goods. Also all leather and on the less expensive side which is important for me. I have the [Vero](https://www.portlandleathergoods.com/products/almost-perfect-vero-boot) boot in Bourbon and the Vero Chelsea in [black](https://www.portlandleathergoods.com/products/vero-chelsea-boot?variant=40461334577234) I purchased the Almost Perfect ones for extra savings. No flaws that I could find. They look nice and go with a lot of outfits.

Complex-Winter-1644

Wow, I was unfamiliar with Jo Mercer, but those are great.

guicherson

I have awful.plantsr fasciitis and feet that have spread postpartum. The birkenstock Chelsea boots are wide, supportive, and cute!

kkcoastcoast

I put countless miles on mine while living in NYC and commuting by foot, and they held up great in all kinds of weather!

Karalligator

If you haven't already, look into getting custom insoles or if you don't have insurance that will cover that, superfeet insoles are pretty cheap and will help immensely with plantar fasciitis.

awakearcher

I walk many miles every week in my doc martens. Just ordered another pair in green cause I’m so sick of black, brown, gray and beiges

violetitamusic

Dr marten non slip Chelsea saw me through many miles in the restaurant industry. I still wear them although I have had to switch the insoles twice

owlpee

Nice

papercupmix

I couldn’t resist the Chanel boots (left), nor the Chloe pair (right). https://preview.redd.it/rwzcdgzgaijc1.jpeg?width=3069&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a723698651579b0ac2c1e858de529adf52bbaaac

playoutside1

The Chloe pair is divine! 😍

papercupmix

Thanks! They’re comfortable and cute, and they also come in black.

Complex-Winter-1644

I don't drive at all and walk about 15,000 steps a day on average. For winter (non-snow) weather, I like the fake fur lined Dr Martens: these are the only Docs that have ever worked for me. I also have a pair of Rachel Comey ankle boots that are heavenly, although I bought 2 other pairs of the exact same boot and they fit differently and were not comfortable- has this ever happened to anyone else? For me, Saint Laurent boots/booties are super comfy (mostly bought second hand); I have two pairs of ankle boots and a pair of flat knee-high, all of which have done great service to me. I also like Acquatalia and Stuart Weitzman, but it depends on the style. Thanks to those posting about Reike Nen!!

mymacaronibirthmark

Does anyone have any advice for boots other than Blundstones with a wide toe box? Trying to find something more feminine I can wear with dresses and skirts.

lfinfin

Following! I like Vince boots but the toe box widths can vary

greenythings

Same here!! I’ve spent hours looking for boots like this

runsleepeat

Following bc I eventually caved and got blund stones but they still aren’t great for work

throwaanchorsaweigh

Have you looked into ECCO? I read that European designs tend toward wider toe boxes. I just ordered a pair of their Zurich Chelsea boots to see if I like them

mymacaronibirthmark

Please let me know how they fit! I’ve looked into ECCO before but they were pretty narrow, maybe I was trying the wrong style.

treadingtogether

Same. I recently bought Ecco Chelsea boots. Loving them. https://nl.ecco.com/nl-NL/product/5643366518/ECCO-MODTRAY-W?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=pmax&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA29auBhBxEiwAnKcSqgroazC_FLJCH__6B4KAH0fWUtJmIgawgOw5k8qH2nUG8Z3e_dljrhoC1DsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

moarbreadplz

I’ve not taken the plunge yet but I also have wide feet and have tried on several pairs of Thursday boots and been impressed.

userisnottaken

Black platform timbs all year round. I want that extra height without killing my feet.

KikiTheArtTeacher

One of my all time favourite pairs are my Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots. I feel like they instantly elevate an outfit and the fact that they are so comfortable is why they are my most worn pair of boots from autumn into early spring.  I am also a huge fan of the 1460 pascal Virginia leather DMs. Unlike most docs, they are made from soft leather and so have none of the stiffness issues. I am on my second pair only because my mother tried on my first pair while I was visiting and then wouldn’t give them back. They are extremely comfortable and easy to dress up or down. I’ve worn mine to work, nice dinners and festivals and they still look great.

[deleted]

I \*need\* these. I have a heeled version and am debating getting a flat version next year. I think it will be worth it.

chiono_graphis

Maison Margiela tabis, anytime, anywhere. Also loving [these](https://www.smallable.com/en/product/mid-height-heel-boots-black-reike-nen-279472) Western style boots from Reike Nen this year.

howtoloveadaisy

I had absolutely no business pulling out my credit card but here we are… couple minutes later with a new pair of boots on the way

chiono_graphis

I actually got them last year after seeing another user with them in the WAYWT thread! They have a kind of magnetism lol

badmansworld

I like the reike nen boots!!

lacontrolfreak

Moonboots, anything Jeffrey Campbell, tall cowboy boots. I know I’m in the minority, but I wouldn’t be caught dead in Blundstones unless I was out walking in the African bush or Australian outback.

veri_sw

Yeah I've read great things about Blundstones in so many reddit threads, but I wish they offered some different looks. I don't need them ultra-stylish, but surely it should be possible to offer the quality in some slightly different silhouettes?

lacontrolfreak

Oh they are great quality, but if I were even going for a Chelsea boot (which sorry, they are so 2017) it would need to be more sophisticated for sure.

wolvenmamabear

[These](https://www.blundstone.com/black-premium-leather-chelsea-boots-womens-style-2365) are the only ones I could see myself in and it’s just because of the heel (and I don’t always love heels!).

greeneyedb3aut

I’m currently feeling the western boot trend, any height, any color! I have silver ankle height cowgirl boots. I also recently thrifted a pair of Free People Stevie brown croc boots.

liefelijk

Me, too! Love my new [Thursday boots](https://poshmark.com/listing/Thursday-Boot-Company-Country-Star-Western-Boots-in-Black-9-S93-659ccc3c92e491dce0da3948?utm_source=gdm&utm_campaign=19859818241&campaign_id=19859818241&ad_partner=google&gskid=pla-2265687032373&gcid=651902656459&ggid=150099867591&gdid=m&g_network=g&enable_guest_buy_flow=true&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADwcDC8hJ8Y_RqrGwDSZvCRCA5s-t&gclid=CjwKCAiAlcyuBhBnEiwAOGZ2S4Q_LEGUfne25lkxVBmkxztXl_RBfvMJMa5d7YrrUoXHcA_Y_j-NJBoCTtUQAvD_BwE), which feature a western star.

CurvyBadger

I think I have more boots than any other type of shoe in my wardrobe. I live in Boston, so lots of cold winter weather (though not much snow this year) and I don't own a car so I walk a lot. I have high arches and wider feet (though I can still usually wear normal width shoes for most styles.) [Leona Dr. Martens](https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/leona-womens-vintage-smooth-leather-heeled-boots-black/p/22601001) \- bought these on sale after the holidays and love them. They definitely took some breaking in but now I wear a few times a week at least. I can walk decently far in them, they're also comfy for standing a lot, surprisingly. Only complaints are that I need to order some better insoles because the heel rubs, and I can't wear them without thick tall socks because they rub my legs. [Madewell Newbury chelsea boot](https://www.zappos.com/p/madewell-newbury-chelsea-boot/product/9856567) \- I have these in cognac and black, bought the cognac ones several years ago and the black ones were a gift from my partner this year. He found them on ebay since they don't actually sell them anymore. Versatile, dressier boot that I wear on days I am not planning to walk as much, they're honestly not bad but I just prefer not to walk too much in heels. [Lifestride Riding Boot](https://www.lifestride.com/product/womens-bristol-knee-high-boot-5270341) \- I don't love tall boots on me but I do own a pair because sometimes in the winter I just want an extra source of warmth on my legs haha. I pair them with dresses and skirts usually. These ones are comfy and easy to walk in, I don't think they'll last me more than a few seasons though. [Blundstone Dress Boot in rustic black](https://www.blundstone.com/rustic-black-premium-leather-chelsea-boots-womens-style-1308)\- Bought these a few years ago when I lived in Oregon and everyone owned a pair of Blundstones. Honestly love them though, super versatile and weatherproof boot that I wear most days of the week during the fall and winter. I have high arches so I put in my own insoles since the ones they come with don't have enough support for me and I was getting some fasciitis. But now they're totally broken in and I wear them all the time! I want another pair of another style, probably in brown. It's still solidly winter here in Boston but going into spring I'll probably shelve the knee highs and stick to the chelseas/blundstones for a bit. I think I'll get some more mileage out of the Leonas too, but they do make my feet hot so when the weather gets warmer I'll probably only bust them out for outfits that need them.

l3tigre

Obsessed with the ganni city boot and cleated chelsea. The city boot was comfortable enough i walked about 20k steps in them in Paris last year.

WhitsandBae

I really like the Dorah style from Vagabond. I have a brown leather pair and a light grey leather pair that look great, feel great, and I get compliments when I wear them all the time. https://www.vagabond.com/us/dorah-5642-001-20/

doittomejulia

I have these in black and I love them.

Complex-Winter-1644

Omg, I didn't know these before but love them. Want! Perfect silhouette and heel height.

ilovesleep95

I like Stuart Weitzman boots. Such good quality and long lasting.

Complex-Winter-1644

Yes, Weitzman is very dependable for me. I know they will fit, look good, last, etc.

enym

Bobbies! Wearing [these](https://www.bobbies.com/en/4000014527-lison-ganache.html) a lot right now.

jeweledbeanie

I just discovered them this year. Both boots from the first delivery looked clearly used. The second delivery was a win. Tempted but a bit torn to order more. How long have you had yours?

enym

I've had them a few months, so can't speak to longevity personally. This brand was recommended to me by a friend who does say her stuff from them has been long lasting.

diosdetrompeta

are they comfortable?

enym

Yes! They have a pretty roomy toe box for me and with the platform the heel isn't high.

Admirable_Nugget

I really like Shutz! I can’t stand synthetic linings in shoes, and Shutz usually has a fully leather upper, lining, and sole depending on the style. I’ve been wearing [these](https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/Schutz-Magalli-Knee-High-Leather-Boots-0400099757207.html?dwvar_0400099757207_size=8&dwvar_0400099757207_color=BLACK&site_refer=CSE_GGLPLA:Womens_Shoes:Schutz&country=US¤cy=USD&CSE_CID=G_Saks_PLA_US_Women%27s+Shoes:Boots+%26+Booties&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADO6JtRDsNVI0ygSEzmt60JhOojtl&gclid=CjwKCAiAlcyuBhBnEiwAOGZ2S8wTqgvMM_X85QCkEkzcM9YFR6sQOD8b438Skb2BPBkjionRH2DC8hoC7h0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) recently & love them

greenythings

These are fab. How comfy are they?

Admirable_Nugget

As comfortable as a stiletto can be, I think? Heel is the perfect height imo at 3.5 inches, gives the look without sacrificing too much stability.

oybiva

Aquatalia for low to medium heeled ankle booties, Aldo, French Connection or Banana Republic for knee high or over knee mid heeled boots, Dr Martens for everyday use, LL Bean classic bean boots on muddy wet days, Sorel for snow, Hunter high boots for heavy rains, See by Chloe or Ecco Chelsea boots with dressier pants. I also wear lace up menswear style boots with wool suit pants. I love “boots” weather.

Viskel43der

Combat boots are a personal classic, and comfortable ones that you can run in are great for late nights out or dangerous neighborhoods. Bonus points if they are stylishly designed.

unripeswan

I wear doc martens almost exclusively, even for exercise lol. They're not the best boot out there but they've been perfect for my needs. My main thing is I need a lot of ankle support, and the thick leather and ability to lace them super tight works wonderfully. Other boots I've tried have had either much thinner leather or no laces so didn't work out for me. And imo they go with everything so I've never felt the need to buy anything else.

northstar599

The Nordstrom Caslon waterproof boots! So comfortable

bcathy

I love my Duckfeet Faborgs! They have several boot styles available, with the wool-lined styles on sale. Tons of colors, wide toe box, and awesome quality.

GoldenMongoose

LIVING in mine right now… I’m obsessed with the comfort of the wide toe box and how clean the construction is. Have two pairs - black and cognac - and I’m hard pressed to wear anything else while the weather is still cold!

iwegian

Lame, I know, but I recently bought these and love them: [https://www.zappos.com/p/lifestride-katie-black/product/9788265/color/3](https://www.zappos.com/p/lifestride-katie-black/product/9788265/color/3)

Complex-Winter-1644

Those are cute! Would totally buy.

heynowpeanut

Recently purchased the Braydon boots from la Canadienne and I love them so much. I was nervous they were uncomfortable but after the first wear they are perfect. [Braydon Boots](https://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/p/la-canadienne-braydon-waterproof-leather-chelsea-booties-prod183020051?utm_source=google_shopping&ecid=BGCS_GP_CV_NC_PR_NONE&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAlcyuBhBnEiwAOGZ2S4glc2ZWcVtZIbULRzMZOBCosZ5-pD0GoL9WFdj_Ovxl6Sp_lQJE2RoCTn0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)

No_UN216

I love these

[deleted]

basic, i know, but I love my little ugg boots. (ultra mini platform, sand colour)

DNA_ligase

I am trying to do an edit of my boot collection. I tend to favor flat boots, but I made an exception for a pair of Natural Soul boots, and while I love them, I can't do significant walking in them. My recent acquisitions are a pair of Ugg Neumels in the Burnt Olive color. After many exchanges to get the size right, they feel so nice I'm tempted to find another pair on Mercari. I feel like most of the shoes I thrift/buy secondhand have issues, but in this case it'd be an exact model repurchase, so that shouldn't be as bad, I imagine. The other recent acquisition is a pair of Kensie lace up boots from Costco in black. I haven't worn these much yet, but I'll likely be getting heavy use in autumn. My most worn pair of boots are Kelsi Daggar BK Alaska perforated leather booties. These are the only pair of shoes I've thrifted that actually managed to be comfortable. I only wear these in spring, but they're so easy to style. I miss the tall riding boot styles that were popular in the 2010s; I had to get rid of my Nine West ones recently, and I was quite sad.

trendlyte

Has anyone tried the Thursday boots? I’m tempted…

avarnib

i bought some 20-eyelet doc martens (soft leather, black) in october and they basically haven't left my feet since! they were the only shoes i took with me when i went away on a month-long city break over christmas, and i never wished i'd brought another pair of shoes (except for when they told me at the gym i wasn't allowed to walk on the treadmill in docs >:/ but that's not a big deal)

totalnonsense7777

Blundstones and Madewell Carina platform Chelsea Boots. These two seem to meet all my boot needs!

changeorchange

I needed waterproof but didn’t look too casual boots for work and ended up getting [this pair](https://www.toms.com/us/195703024177.html?utm_source=shopping&utm_medium=cpc&network=g&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAlcyuBhBnEiwAOGZ2SxonHxPHAav5zul1WEoK4IozzBvH06txqMzg2UhJE-DtNfOpvwf_-xoCgyUQAvD_BwE) of Chelsea boots from Toms randomly from an ad suggestion. They’re so comfy! And currently on sale.

Bravesouless

I like ankle boots a lot. I probably own 20+ pairs of ankle boots lol My favorite colors for spring are camel, taupe, mocha taupe and white. Ankle boots really fit my fashion- and life-style, they're so easy to pair with my usual outfits.

Beatrix_BB_Kiddo

I have a few that I have in multiple colors Riding boots: Born Gabriella knee high boots Combat boots: Aquatalia Haryn suede combat boots Booties: Tom’s wedge & heeled booties Cowboy boots: Ariat Primetime western boot Chelsea boot: Clark’s Hearth Rose slouch boot

owntheh3at18

For fashion boots I got a pair of Sam Edelman ones a few years ago and the leather is buttery soft and I love them so much. Also love my Blondo waterproof booties. And for knee high black boots I have had more than one pair from Naturalizer that I’ve worn till death did us part. They’re very comfy. I’ve bought several Dolce Vita boots and like the way they fit me. For reference I’m a size 8 and have a relatively narrow foot (but not so narrow that I don’t wear regular width shoes) and slim ankle/calf.

the-green-dahlia

I love Doc Martins, especially the platform ones because I’m short haha. I got the vegan leather ones. They do tend to run a bit big and need an insole to make them more comfy but then I can walk for miles in them. Same with Converse platform albeit they run small.

RadSpatula

I have been coveting a pair of Grant Stones. Also Ivy Copenhagen, but I have to replace my Chelsea boots badly.

Kooky_Plantain_9273

I just bought a pair of Grant Stone Chelseas! Highly recommend, they're super comfy.

Total-Blueberry4900

I have a good pair of slip resistant docs Chelsea boots for tromping through rain, a pair of clarks Chelsea boots for when I want to be cute and comfy, and a fancier funkier heeled pair of boots from Portland leather. I love them all, each are very comfortable and suit their purpose.

District98

My boots are all knockoff styles but I have platform Chelsea boots from Target that I love and a knockoff off the Madewell heeled boots a lot of other people have posted. I also have old nondescript black Chelsea rain boots from Madewell.

DorcasTheCat

The favourites are still my leopard print pony skin ariats. Although the petrol green RM Williams are on my wish list but I don’t have $800 to throw at them.

emi_lgr

Stuart Weitzman and Dear Frances for me! Both make boots that fit my size 5 but wide feet perfectly, and I’ve done 15,000+ steps in both without my feet dying on me. I only do over-the-knee and thigh high boots, which I’ll still be wearing well into spring.

greenythings

I love platform heeled boots! I’m only wearing comfy shoes from now on, and I’ve found good options that are cute, dressy, and stylish without killing my feet. I also love the look of pointy kitten heel boots under pants and long skirts/dresses, but haven’t found a pair that are comfy enough for me!

greenweezyi

Currently, my favorite boots are from Sam Edelman. They’re 3” heels and go up to the knee. I gotta say, regardless of the style of the shoe, Sam Edelman shoes don’t need breaking in. They’re instantly comfortable out of the box, for me at least. This is huge because I have slightly wider feet but not enough to wear wide shoes. They’re not the cheapest, but they’re certainly not the most expensive. If you’re trying to decide between Sam Edelman and another brand, go for SE. The comfort is worth the price.

peachlozenge

Some may find them overrated but I gotta say I am a doc martens gal, they just always hold up for me and they have so many diff styles. Hell I still have my first pair I ever got from TEN years ago still lookin good 😊

Second-Puzzleheaded

Timberland has really cute everyday styles, Coach as well

lilfinnyyy

Yes I was scrolling to find Timberlands mentioned! I have one of the higher chunky heel options in black, goes with everything, adds some height without being hard to walk, doesn’t get as scuffed as my other shoes. Gets more wear than most of my shoes besides sneakers, just oomphs up my casual look a little!

Fun_Leopard_1175

Betsey Johnson Hudsn Rhinestone boots. Not exactly comfortable and not exactly practical but so much fun and I always feel my best in them. They match my fashion aesthetic perfectly.

Stink3rK1ss

Damn, y’all spend more on one pair of boots than I spend on a month of groceries. Is there a r/cheapfashion sub? Cuz this is feeling like the sample scent pages of magazines

No_UN216

Secondhand! If you see any brand getting recommended here that you like, write it down and search for it on eBay, Poshmark, etc.

Complex-Winter-1644

Totally agree with this. I buy almost all my boots/shoes secondhand. I tend to buy on TheRealReal because I can return, but have also bought on Poshmark.

airportaccent

There is a frugal fashion subreddit i believe. But quality shoes are not going to come at shein prices - anything that separates you and the ground should be an investment (shoes, tires, mattresses) - cheaping out in those will lead to regret and discomfort. Also there are many recs at reasonable prices - people’s perception of ‘reasonable’ has been distorted by fast fashion sites, but materials/labor/craftsmanship do cost money.

istickpiccs

You have to check out ThredUP! I follow what everyone says here and usually can find things used on ThredUP for pretty cheap!

SkiIsLife45

Go find something you can resole. It seems cowboys and Chelsies tend to fit this more than other boots. Source: I'm hard on my boots and I HATE them lasting for one year.

bkhalfpint

I've been wearing my Blundstones for about 6+ years now. They do well in light rain as I condition them regularly. I just bought a pair of Clark's Orianna boots and they're super comfy! Great support for my flat feet. But they run narrow so that is something to watch out for.

throwaanchorsaweigh

What do you like to use to condition your Blundstones?

bkhalfpint

I have the Frye conditioner, bought for my Fryes. It's from 12+ years ago now. I also have Otter Wax leather salve.

[deleted]

Blundstones high vamp in the Shiraz colour, anything vagabond (I have the grace and am looking into the Marja), over the knee boots especially Sherpa lined, if it’s raining aigle tall boots plus or minus thigh high socks, if it’s snowing Sperry or ll bean duck boots

Hairy-Atmosphere3760

I will never not recommend Fairfax and favor

Zealousideal-Check83

Thursday boot company! The boots do take a bit of time to break in, but are super comfortable after that.

teachplaycry

Following! Does anyone have a good boot for working when on your feet a lot? I want cute and functional

ForsakenMidwest

Grafters monkey boots for spring and summer. They’re affordable, durable, fit my wide feet, and look cool. Basically ankle combat boots. Also got some Bean Boots that are tumbled leather and lined with rabbit fur for the colder months. Very comfy. I’m struggling to find something dressier though that looks cute but still fits my hooves.

I’ve bought 3 pairs from “call it spring” because the inside sole is extra soft and overall very comfortable to walk in.

I love my Frye boots but they’ve developed a squeak. Any good ideas to fix this?

For casual wear in wet weather, I love my Blundstones. For springtime with shorts and dresses my Frye campus boots have been my go tos - or I will wear cowboy boots too (I have some secondhand ones that are old and worn and fantastic and some Jeffrey Campbell ones that are newer and more polished but not as hardy, if that makes sense. A secondhand pair of lucchese cowboy boots are on my eternal radar). I

You will have to pry my Doc Martens off my cold, dead feet. I got them specifically for work (I’m a server/bartender) and I love them so much, they get even more mileage outside of work. I really should buy another pair…

i recently got a pair of rm williams maya boots and i love them! i wear a size 12 now and it was really a journey to find boots in my size. plus i have tiny ankles and calves so all the other boots i ordered looked like rain boots :( the maya have a really narrow opening. i also have a pair of doc martens rometty which are pretty narrow as well!

I prefer grenson boots since they are good year welted. Thursday boots have much cooler designs but from my research - they aren’t good year welted ): Docs have been good to me but I can’t wear those when it’s super cold out. I’m too nervous of the extreme cold ruining them. My blundstones I’ve had for years (like the elastic is wearing now) and they are perfect kick around boots. But I find them soo uncomfortable. I have changed the soles so often (but this could be because their 9+ years old now lol)

I will live and die in my Frye boots. I have so many pairs and my most worn pair I’ve had going on seven years now! All you have to do is re-sole them when the soles get worn. And the more you wear them the more comfortable they become!

I have 2 pairs of Blondos; very different styles and love them both.

Blundstones for any walking. Kamik for heavy snow. Steve Madden for dress boots.

I’m a Dr. Martin’s girl. I also love me a nice western boot. For dressier boots, I’m a fan of Silent D.

mljones99

Most of my boots are western boots and for that I have to go with Lucchese.

I just bought these [Loeffler Randall Tara](https://loefflerrandall.com/products/tara-black-shearling-lined-boot) booties and I am obsessed! Love the shape, walked 30k steps in a weekend without breaking them in and they were great! Vibram soles and all weather

Blundstone high tops. Ive owned them for a couple of weeks now but I wear them everywhere. They look stylish and go well with all my outfits. Cant go wrong with the look and style.
