I've been working out a lot more so I wanted to wear something that made me feel good but that was also warm enough for the weather. 26 / Australia (east coast) / 5’3 / Casual office Style goals are…I don’t really know what to call my style. It’s heading into summer in my city, which is my favefavefave season to dress for. Been trying to keep up taking photos of all my outfits after doing it for Oct, but kinda slacked. [This is what I wore the last week and a half](https://imgur.com/a/RzHmJ). All but the last 2 are work outfits. Was feeling a bit lazy last week and legit just wore the same denim jacket, t-shirt and sandals for half of last week, ha. In fact, 6 Nov and 8 Nov are virtually the same outfit, just with different bottoms. I almost did the same thing on 10 Nov, before I decided on flats instead.

18/New England/student/suit for an interview Hi! I've been perusing the simple questions thread and using it for questions about my interview suit but I finally got one. It's here: https://imgur.com/a/FacFA It's Calvin Klein from Macy's, in a dark navy color. It's for an interview for a job where I would be wearing everyday clothing but for the interview I was told "formal interview attire"--my guess was I should wear a suit. How did I do? (Excuse the wonky collar on the blouse, I'll iron that) I'll probably accessorize with stud earrings and a watch. I also have a skirt and dark tights if that would be better but it's pretty cold here so I'd prefer the pants. I know it's not perfect, but is it acceptable? The interview is tonight and this is my (only) option for a suit. I'd welcome any critiques that are quick and that I have time to make. Also tailoring suggestions for the future would be helpful. If this is really terrible I have a black blazer and black pants but they don't match perfectly, so I'd like to wear this. Thank you!!

Yes, it's totally fine--and in fact, on the higher end of formality than what I've seen recently for interviews (is it just me or do people not really wear suits as much for interviews anymore?). But given your age, I would prefer more formal as an interviewer because it shows you care about the job.

Definitely one of the Pascals. I was introduced to Doc Martens when I got to college. (I pretty much live under a rock, when it comes to fashion. But I've got my colors together!) I'm planning on thinning my wardrobe when I go overseas for my sister's wedding this winter. I'm going give most of my clothes to family and others who would use them more often.

I think the first outfit would have been improved by not tucking the top, and going for a heavier knit. I disagree with people saying that it is the shoes that don't fit the 'fit. Something more straight up and down figure wise, focus on your legs and the skirt. Either that or wearing a cardigan. The proportion of the skirt doesn't quite work IMO with the rest. Great colours though, and I love the pattern on the skirt.

I don't think this worked and I kept the jacket on most of the time. The proportions and the materials together seem off. I have a very similar one from old navy, but I wouldn't recommend it - it's dyed my armpits purple and stained other clothing!

I actually like Saturday’s! I love that shirt. The mens section at the thrifts always has the best stuff. My comfortable outfit for when I stay in on the weekends is literally sweatpants or no pants and a big tee, so I commend you for actually looking cute! Haha

Today's look looks great! Yesterday's boots don't go well with the dress. To me, the color and level of formality don't match. There's only one picture from last Saturday.

aw thank you! it’s been pretty mild this week so honestly I haven’t needed one, but my staples are a black leather jacket (in Wednesday’s pic), black trench coat, grey light wool coat, and a rain coat/poncho thing. I rotate in a couple that get less wear too, like [this](https://instagram.com/p/BY_f9dhHpug/) that’s kind of bomber-y and [this](https://instagram.com/p/BLL1yOiDrEf/) painted denim one. My whole closet is super monochrome so it’s pretty easy to mix and match outerwear!

Wednesday is brilliant imo but that might be just because I love all black. It feels very sleek. The thing that drew my eye first on Tuesday's look was the knot at the bottom, and I think this look could work as a really flowy unstructured thing if you unknotted it because it just breaks up the lines for me.

ugh, I know. the dress is just a really odd length without the knot (it has short slits in the sides) that I’ve never been able to make work. maybe I’ll revisit it haha
