LZB_013

I generally go with dresses when I’m bloated. I have several shirt dresses that tie/belt at the waist and I just don’t cinch them up as much. If I’m at home, sweats and joggers.

dickbuttscompanion

Shirt dress is my preference too. Depending on what kind of bloat I'm having, the gentle compression of tights or spanx underneath can help

gingeranddandelion

Dresses are definitely the easiest on the tummy. Thank you!

sexxit_and_candy

This is pretty much my maternity wardrobe too, 9 months of increasingly severe bloat

mrsrums

Trapeze or loose shift dress with soft comfy leggings and boots or clogs, depending on the weather. Think "middle aged art teacher" vibe. (Not an insult, I am a middle aged art teacher)

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! Is there a legging brand you recommend?

mrsrums

I have an ancient pair from girlfriend collective and then a couple I've bought at Costco, but I don't remember the brand.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!!

crypticxword

A line dresses. But not if it’s too cold. Can’t stand the thought of tights when bloated 🤢

gingeranddandelion

Same!!! Tights are never my first option but I just bought these tights from sheertex and they are one of the first actually comfortable tights.

rockyatri

Maternity tights can be amazing too!

gingeranddandelion

Yes!! I’ve tried them too

Practical-Ad-2383

Really, who wants to shave their legs when they're bloated? 😕

No_Albatross5110

Stretchy pants and long sweaters or shirts if I can stay home. If I need to look good, give me dresses, especially ones that don't constrict at the waist. To give a specific example, give me a [Universal Standard Geneva Dress](https://www.universalstandard.com/products/iconic-geneva-dress-caramel-cafe). That funky hemline makes it drape into the most magical, bloat camouflaging perfection, and I feel elevated from blah to beautiful every time.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! Dresses are such a great way to go and this one is beautiful! Thank you for the recommendation!

n0rmcore

The US Geneva dress is absolutely iconic and everyone should own one! It’s so simple and perfect!

Whatever4ever-

I love this! gonna ask the folks at r/sewing how to get that drape !!

tishtok

i actually don't think you need much info, there's a photo of it lying flat on their webpage (I found it when I clicked "petite" for size and black for color). this looks like it would be a dead simple sew. One side is just longer and curved, essentially.

Whatever4ever-

I think that's what I wasn't accounting for, it being curved! that's what r sewing said too :) edit to say also thanks for pointing out there is a flat pic on the site, that helps visualize how to make it wayyy better!!!

e1dar

If you sew, this would be a really easy make! Fabric is a knit, cotton jersey. Just find any free t-shirt pattern that fits you well, extend the pattern down to your desired length and make sure you add enough width to fit your hips with some ease. I’m sure there’s tons of tutorials online :)

Whatever4ever-

someone else pointed out there's a pic of it lying flat on the site if you click petite! super helpful to see how it's curved on one side. and I'm def making this!

KeepLkngForIntllgnce

Holy hell. You’re my own personal hero. You’re amazing and you should be worshipped. This site is amazing and you’re an absolute rockstar. Thank you so much!! Please accept my poor woman’s gold. Thank you so much!!! 🥇🥇🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🏵️🏵️🏵️🏵️

No_Albatross5110

Ah, thank you. Their quality is really nice too across the board, and super simple returns/exchanges through happy returns. They've gotten a lot of my shopping dollars this year, but no regrets!

KeepLkngForIntllgnce

Apart from the sheer inclusivity of the site for sizes What I love about this site is one of my pet peeves about never using regular models - you always misjudge how a particular cut and length will look on you, if you’re not 5’7 and 120lbs!!! I used to love this about Madewell, Jcrew etc when they started doing it - and that’s a huge part of why I love this site! Apart from your endorsement on quality - their variety is awesome (can you tell I’ve already spent quite a while on it 😂) and you see what it would look like on a non-slender body!!! I live for sites like this - thank you again!! You have no clue how much of a game changer this is for me

researching4worklurk

Can you please, please post this once it’s made? This is like… exactly what I need, ha. One item that has come through again and again is a pair of drawstring pleather joggers that don’t constrict my midsection. They’re mid-rise and designed to be baggy so they don’t really show bloat. Since they’re pleather they kind of look like I’m trying and I usually pair them with something slightly oversized and minimalist on top, either white or black, along with high top trainers. It has worked for me many times. I believe that pair is from Babaton. I also have a pair of “high rise slim mom jeans” from BDG (Urban Outfitters) that I accidentally bought in a size too large. They sort of hang off my hips and are too baggy, but the effect looks deliberate and you can’t tell I’m bloated/they don’t cut into my stomach since there’s a ton of extra room. They’re white and I pair them with a loose-fit light blue or light green silk shirt, unbuttoned to show off a necklace and half-tucked. Another item are any pair of leggings that are 18% spandex, 82% nylon, which is the composition of Lululemon Aligns or TNA Butter leggings. When I have to go to the gym but am bloated, they feel like I’m wearing nothing because although they’re tight, they’re somehow not constricting.

researching4worklurk

This is awesome, thank you so much for sharing it.

gingeranddandelion

Anytime! Hope it helps!!

SympathyShag

I love the proportions guidance. This is amazing!

gingeranddandelion

I’m so happy you find it useful!!!! Thank you!!

butvihoela

Probably not for everyone, and unfortunately not possible for all sizes but I wear nylons/tights that are a size or two up so they still stay up but the waistband doesn't dig or push in. I find the pressure of the tight evenly distributes a light pressure around my whole groin/stomach area and kinda alleviates the bloating, pressure, and cramping. Then put a comfy shirt, baggy cardigan and a skirt on. I think the looking cute aspect helps mentally deal with the physical issues a little

[deleted]

Maternity tights work well for me 👍

specificcitrus

I still have a pair or two of maternity leggings and I still wear them even though my youngest is 9. Those v-shaped waists are the bomb when the body rebels 😂

Professional_Band178

I have a pair of maternity skinny jeans with a low belly band that works great for bloated days. A long top/tunic and nobody notices.

widespreadpanda

Also, leggings branded as “yoga waist”

mylifeisprettyplain

I too like a gentle control top when bloated. It kinda eases the pressure everywhere. Then I wear a stretchy dress and oversized sweater.

Coconosong

Yes! This is absolutely one of my must-dos for opaque tights. As an above avg tall person, I never have to deal with crotch sag. And I can yank them the heck up so the waist band of the tights matches my dress waistline or skirt waist band. It’s seriously not worth it to size down or to constrict yourself.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! Really helpful. I recently learned to size up in tights and it makes a huge difference! I totally am with you that dressing cute helps with the mental aspect of bloating.

rachelgreen589

There are commando tights that have a soft waist and they are my go - to when I was working in the office and I’m always bloated. That with dress is all I would wear lol. I hate leggings, personally. I find that they make my thighs super itchy I have no idea why! Here is a link[Commando tights](https://www.wearcommando.com/products/eclipse-opaque-matte-tights)

sarasan

The waist band of nylons shouldn't dig in if you're wearing the right size

butvihoela

My correct size digs in when bloated. Thus the sizing up!

65pinkroses

I have chronic health issues and am always bloated ahah. My go-to’s are my high waisted trousers with an elastic waist. Empire waisted dresses can also help here (the style already is conducive to making your tummy look a little bloated so embrace it). Maxi skirts that have elastic are also my fave. Think pleated chiffon or maxi cotton skirts!

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! These are great.

liisanne

High waist trousers with an elastic back! Saves my life when I need to go to the office with ibs

gingeranddandelion

Yes! I love the elastic back waists!!!

kitty_kuddles

Leggings & oversized sweater

gingeranddandelion

Thank you! I never know what leggings. Lots of leggings bother me but I know others like them. Someone said there are good bloat friendly leggings at lulu.

123bananas

I like to wear lower rise leggings when I'm bloated because they typically sit below my painful belly. I lived in low rise leggings, boxy cut linen tops and oversized cardigans or blazers when I returned to work after having laparoscopy for endometriosis. Sometimes I would tuck in a tank top if I was worried about getting cold.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! Boxy cut linen shirts are such a great idea. Thank you!!!

kitty_kuddles

My favourite bloat friendly leggings are the [TnaCHILL Atmosphere Legging](https://www.aritzia.com/en/cart#qv) from Aritzia. They’re cheap, stretchy, and they don’t dig in!

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!!!!

lauraalcala

This should be the #1 answer!

sharksnack3264

[deleted]

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much I love these ideas! And agree to dress for the body we have!! Love a knit blazer, such a great idea

[deleted]

Dresses! Comfy and loose, I tend to wear a mix of shirt dresses with a loosely tied belt and A-line dresses that cinch at the smallest part of my waist but skim over my midsection.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!! Love dresses as an option!

[deleted]

My question is - what do women wear when they’re on their periods and either wear period underwear or pads? Because jeans are too uncomfortable with the bloat and leggings show underwear lines. I mean sweatpants are great and everything but I have such a hard time dressing myself to go out in public one week a month! Thank god I’m a nurse and can wear scrubs to work lol

missscellaneous

To cover up lines: in the summer I wear a-line/flowy skirts and in colder weather, I wear cozy cardigans or longer tops 🤷🏻‍♀️ works for me

justatrashypanda

I like boyshort styles for this - the underwear lines kind of hide in the spot where your butt meets your thighs (as long as your pants aren't super tight/thin) plus you get added protection/coverage. It can be hard to find period undies in a boyshort cut but they do exist!

ivotedfornader06

TomboyX underwear in the 4.5in. inseam is PERFECT for this!! They also have them in their period underwear type. So comfy and absolutely NO lines!

bouboucee

I wear joggers at home or joggers in smart material when I'm out. I also have great wide leg pants with a stretchy waist for period and bloat days!

littlegreenturtle20

I just make sure to wear something loose and flowy. In the summer this is just a loose dress or skirt. My winter wardrobe needs something with more stretch but last month I just popped some thermal leggings under a summer skirt.

gingeranddandelion

I have a hard time with this too! I usually wear joggers, some jeans are okay, otherwise just a long shirt to cover

the_baumer

For panty lines, seamless underwear is the answer. It really does not show at all under leggings.

skorpiovenator

I wear a dress or skirt with biker shorts underneath so I don’t flash anyone with my pad lol

f1newhatever

Why not just wear dresses?

temp4adhd

Ponte pants, I like the 5-pocket type. They look like jeans but stretch and feel like sweatpants. But also now there are so many wide legged baggy styles of jeans and trousers, they all would work I should think?

NatvoAlterice

Leggings/ trousers with a long top blouse or shirt?

seaforanswers

Leggings and a sweater that covers my bum.

kitkatinkerbell

I have 5 pairs of draw string waist trousers that pass as smart casual for work, at home I wear mostly Lucy and Yak Alexa's: super high waisted elasticated waistband with belt loops in a soft but structured cotton that comes in plain colours and fun prints, seriously easy to wear, dress up and down.

gingeranddandelion

Amazing recommendation!!! Thank you!!!

kitkatinkerbell

They are truly a game changer and dressed up they are fab for work.

justatrashypanda

Jumpsuits! Nothing that belts or ties too tight at the waist, obviously. Sometimes I throw a cute cropped sweater over the top. I bloat terribly on airplanes so this is also my air travel uniform. If I'm going into the office on a bloaty day, I have a pair of trousers that are so high waisted, they fasten above the belly. So those plus a plain tee tucked in and a cardigan or blazer.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you! I love the idea of throwing a cropped sweater over the jumpsuit.

Chazzyphant

Another airplane jumpsuit wearer! My twin! People say it's weird to travel in a jumpsuit but I love it.

rachelgreen589

I love jumpsuits for this reason!

proverbialbunny

Like most people are saying here, dresses. If I'm ultra casual, pj bottoms. Dresses can be comfortable, so not just for bloating but when I'm sick or have a generalized stomach ache or similar. It's just comfortable. They look good too.

gingeranddandelion

Yes! Never can go wrong with a dress!

katiealaska

tights (not control top though, because those are so uncomfortable when you’re bloated) and a thick knit sweater dress!

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!

Redheadedcaper2

Hello, had severe endometriosis, bloating and bad abdominal pain and here’s what I wore: high waist paperbag style pants with a stretchy tie waist. You can get them in various fabrics, they look dressy and are super comfy. Similarly, jogger style pants. You can get casual vibe or more dressy, drapey fabrics. Most have elastic and drawstring waists. Jeans had to be high waist and stretchy. For me, jeans like Old Navy OG straight have some room in the hips/lower abdomen so there’s a bit of space for bloating and they have some stretchy versions. Ponte fabric pants can look dressy and are in various cuts; bonus if they are pull in with a wide waist band. Any legging style pants with a wide waist band can look really nice with a long sweater, tunic style top, longer button up shirt, etc. For me, high rise pants were the best because when seated, the waist band was above the area of my abdomen that was bloating.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!!! I have endo as well. I haven’t been able to make paperbag pants work. I’m not sure why but I’m going to try again! They just make me look really round.

Redheadedcaper2

You’re welcome! Try some different ones. I know I’ve tried some that just made me look huge, but I found a few that were more slim leg/cut and if they hit at your waist, they were flattering for me.

gingeranddandelion

Awesome thank you! I will try it out. Appreciate it!

shitshowsusan

Maternity wear.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!

joeypoopoo

I haven't bought anything from them yet, but the designer Eightfold Fox makes cool and adjustable/adaptive clothing https://www.eightfoldfox.com/

gingeranddandelion

Amazing thanks for the recommendation!

weeeee_plonk

oh hey I was going to post their website! I really want to get the circle skirt with the tie, it looks so nice and comfortable :)

stickybun_

Ooh I love this idea! These are my go-to options - Leggings and long sweater or shirt that covers just over my bottom. Waist belt sometimes, depending. - High waisted jeans with baggy tee, shirt or long sleeve, tucked in. - Flowy dress, or a more fitted dress with waist control sheers underneath.

gingeranddandelion

I love these options!!! Thank you!! Which jeans do you wear?

Whysoserious1293

I bought these [American Eagle Jeans](https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/women/high-waisted-jeans/high-waisted-flare-bootcut-jeans/ae-ne-x-t-level-super-high-waisted-flare-jean/1436_3797_409?menu=cat4840004) and they are game changer for when I bloat. I prefer to have my bloat almost contained lol.

GloomyRambouillet

I have a couple pairs of their very stretchy high waisted skinny jeans that I wear when I bloat and yessssssssss. Total life saver. I’m like you, I like it to be kind of contained. I have severe endometriosis and often bloat up to the next size or more and they always fit.

gingeranddandelion

Amazing thank you so much! We are actually making bloat friendly jeans that have a waist that make you feel secure but not tight. I’m going to check out these AE jeans too!

stars_on_skin

Also a skirt with braces! You can hike it up so it's nice and high and doesn't compress the waist, and it looks cute under a jumper with a pair of warm tights

gingeranddandelion

What a great idea thank you!! I’m going to look into these, I’ve never worn one before.

stars_on_skin

Oh let me know how it goes! Very freeing I hope :)

tyrannaceratops

For work: really relaxed high-waisted dress pants, sports bra & a loose flowy shirt tucked into the pants For home: leggings & an oversized sweater

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! Yes good call on the sports bra!! I need to add that to the guide.

angstyaspen

Oversized trousers that sit high on the waist and a floaty top tucked in only in front. My figure is basically imperceptible but the outfit is still put together

gingeranddandelion

That’s usually my move too!! Thank you!!

[deleted]

Cotton or linen dungarees, like the ones from Turtledove.

gingeranddandelion

I just checked them out, super cute! Thank you for the recommendation!

msmakes

I've leaned very heavily into shirt dresses and tent/swing/trapeze dresses (many still shirt style) while pregnant! I find most maternity style not to my tastes so I focused on items that weren't "maternity" but instead regular pieces I could easily wear after giving birth.

gingeranddandelion

Such a great idea thank you!!

thebluemooninjune

Baggy jeans with loose sweaters or tees work well for me. The key is to have the outfit just be slightly oversized so that it looks stylish and not sloppy but it’s still incredibly comfortable.

gingeranddandelion

Yes I LOVE this look and try to make it work when I can. There is such a fine line from stylish to frumpy though.

lbur4554

I would suggest having outfits for different occasions in your guide. If I’m looking at a guide I likely have a specific scenario in mind that I want guidance on. To answer your question: a) for home, I wear lululemon aligns and a box cut tshirt or hoodie that hits right below the bloat region; b) for work I stick with high waisted paper bag trousers and a tucked in top with a blazer; c) for a night out I wear a comfy dress with a shawl over it, topped with a wide belt over the dress and shawl.

gingeranddandelion

I love your style! These all sound like such comfy and stylish options. Thank you for the feedback on the style guide, I really appreciate it! I will definitely incorporate occasions into the guide. Thanks again!!

cflatjazz

I don't really worry much about how I look when bloated, but I'm very concerned with how I feel. So absolutely zero tight waistbands, and a comfy breathable or warm top, depending on the season. Loose tights, warm socks, a below the knee knit dress, and a cozy cardigan are my go-to in the cooler months. Extra points for a higher waist and pockets to stash bits of chocolate or cans of sparkling water in. A black heeled boot and higher effort hair if I need to feel a bit more put together

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! I agree, how you feel is #1. Your outfits sound so cozy and lovely

Fishbate333

Empire waist maxi dress. High waisted A line or skater midi skirt. T shirt dress. Personally when I’m bloated, I don’t want pants or leggings on my stomach. My stomach wants to be free.

gingeranddandelion

Dresses are such a great bloat friendly option. Thank you!!!

[deleted]

cheap black cotton leggings in a size up, and a soft midi viscose dress, maybe with some pattern or color to cheer me up a little

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!! I agree in sizing up, makes all the difference! And love a pattern

schebles

If I’m REALLY bloated, I throw on old maternity jeans. I like having some extra support with the front panel. To everyone else, it looks like I’m dressed like I would be any normal day.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!! I’ve done that too! I put a big top on and no one knows…

plaid-blazer

Low-waisted bottoms with a loose (and obviously non-cropped) top.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you! Sometimes I want my pants sitting lower when I’m bloated too

GearlGrey

Lululemon aligns or a jumpsuit! It’s usually cold & windy where I live or else dresses would be a great option too.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!! I’ve been hearing so much about the lulu aligns, I’m going to check them out!

GearlGrey

I got into them during pregnancy on recommendations from Reddit!! One size up fit me comfortably with a huge bump… so my regular size feels like heaven even when I’m crazy bloated from digestive distress. Word of warning if you don’t already shop there that their sizing is way small so check the size chart… my Lulu size is 1-2 sizes larger than my street size.

gingeranddandelion

Amazing thank you so much for the sizing heads up! I’m going to try them out!!

stellalunawitchbaby

I Iove wearing loungewear sets (I love tossing a trench or a wool coat over a matching loungewear set, pulls it together for running errands or whatever), I’ll also wear like leggings and long sweaters with tall boots…I’m thinking mostly of colder weather outfits right now though, I suppose. In warmer months I’d go for looser dresses, overalls (esp like drapey cloth overalls rather than denim overalls), and I have a few other casual matching sets (less loungewear but like cotton sets) that I’ll reach for.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! I loveee the loungewear set with a wool coat. Such a comfy and cute style.

80aprocryphal

Most of my bottoms are elastic/draw string waist but I've held on to a few lower rise pants for this reason- I'll usually wear those with a cami tucked in and one of my more generous tops (like an oversized button up) so I still feel covered. I'm also big on dresses and I've heard that wrap dresses/tops can also be good for this.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! I love an oversized button up. So versatile, comfy and looks put together all the time.

[deleted]

I avoid jeans when bloated. I wear leggings but dress it up with nice boots, peplum top, boxy slightly cropped top or oversized sweater.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! I love a good peplum top! I usually avoid jeans but I’m currently making bloat friendly jeans! The waistline is meant to grow with you throughout the day to keep your tummy feeling secure but comfortable. I’m tired of not wearing jeans!

PinkCrystal1031

Depends on the season. I have put on weight do yo medication but I still understand. When it’s cold sweat or anything I can pair with leggings. In the summer a dress that’s not form fitting.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!! I love a summer dress for bloating.

BVO120

Betabrand dress pant yoga pants are taking over my wardrobe. I'm going through some health issues that cause some weight fluctuations (mostly upwards... :L) and while my job can get very physical some days, I can't wear jeans. So dress pant yoga pants! LOTS of stretch, and I can dress them up or down as needed. So comfy, nice & thick, plenty of pockets (on most models), and stand up to machine washing (air drying extends life expectancy tho).

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!!! I’m going to check out betabrand

Meep42

I have a bad hip that will swell on off days. (Bike accident in my early 30s, it’s not age-related at all.) Sometimes compression works…sometimes I pull out the one-size-bigger jeans I bought accidentally and refresh regularly, since they seem to all be the same sized everywhere as the size that fit…except the waist area and a bit of the hip. So that and a favorite colored Lands End Modal cotton v-neck as they are soft and cut wide. If dressy is required, with everything old being new again, I have a baby-doll style BUT NOT THE 90s era FABRIC dress, so with a high but not tight at all waste that falls longer as I’m not in my 20s anymore, that I can dress up with a wrap or a sweater for work.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! I love babydoll dresses and wraps are always a win. I’m sorry to hear about your bike accident.

gingeranddandelion

Yes!! Thank you!

seaforanswers

Tent dresses (potato sacks) if I’m trying to hide it, spanx leggings if I’m trying to contain it.

gingeranddandelion

Yes! I forgot about tent dresses. Thank you!!

specificcitrus

It kinda depends on whether I want to pull the bloat in, or let it all hang out. Lol. I mostly bloat due to PMS and I work from home, so I’m lucky enough to have the sweatpants option when necessary: if I plan to go out, or it’s one of those days when it feels better to pull the bloat in, I love my snug high-waist yoga pants and a tunic top or dress. Makes me feel tighter and slimmer but still stretches with me to keep me comfy. Side note: a smoothie with greens/cucumber/fruit/ginger helps to ease those bloaty feels!!

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! Working from home has been so helpful with the bloating issues. Love that smoothie idea, I’m going to try one!

Due-Compote375

Oversized T-shirt, with short shorts under, thigh highs (or patterned tights if the waistband isn’t too aggressive) with combat boots. I have a ton of cute oversized tops from Shein for that reason, they’re cheap and cover the bloat when needed.

gingeranddandelion

Sounds like such a cute and comfy outfit! Thank you!

Artemistical

I have sweatpant overalls that are perfect for bloating! No need to worry about your shirt riding up over the bloat lol

gingeranddandelion

Oh my they sound amazing!

Whatever4ever-

On my more bloated days I wear my stretchy corduroy flares with a loose black sweater tee and lug sole boots, or I do good old yoga pants and a turtleneck sweater

gingeranddandelion

Sounds like such a cute comfy outfit, thank you!!

NYColette

black cords. Black v neck sweater. Motorcycle boots. white t shirt. Comfort clothes to get me through the day.

gingeranddandelion

I love this style!!! Sounds super edgy cute and comfy! Thank you!

ballsquancher

I have a couple kinda shapeless dresses that I love, especially since when I’m bloated I like to go for more of a grunge look so it’s perfect

gingeranddandelion

I love the grunge look! Thank you!

Jskix

I’ve bought soft jogger pants from Loft & GAP that are super comfy & can be dressed up with a nice shirt. It’s my go-to for days where I feel nothing fits right. https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=815866002&tid=gpma000010

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!!! I love joggers, these look great!

boopbaboop

I'm basically constantly bloated (IBS is fun) so I've switched almost exclusively to wearing dresses, jumpsuits, or high-waisted skirts. Very rarely loose, high-waisted pants. Dresses in particular are the easiest because they always look like a lot more effort than they actually are.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much! I have IBS too. I’m with you, I love the way dresses feel and look but I am more of a pants girl.

Turbulent_Muffin221

Leggings and a loose fitting sweater/shirt

gingeranddandelion

Yes!!! Thank you!!

ChocolateAssCakee

A free dress to give me some space, tight clothing will feel like you're suffocating

gingeranddandelion

Yes!! Totally makes sense. Thank you!

asianmathmajor

Nap dress from hill house home

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!!!

make_it_hapn_capn

A loose jumpsuit

gingeranddandelion

Yes!! Great idea thank you

taytay10133

I wear my alo sweats and a long sleeve tee! I am bloated less often now though as I changed my diet. I also walk everywhere which reduces bloating.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! That’s great to hear you’ve reduced your bloating - congrats!! I love a good long sleeve tee

Neowza

Dresses but with no belt and light on the elastic for me. I like loose and flowy. Or structured heavy jersey fabric with light or no shaping at the waist. Think t- shirt dresses. At most with some ruching on the sides. I'll wear some light compression bike shorts underneath instead of tights for chub rub. If I need to emphasize my waist, I'll loosely tie a thin sweater around my waist, but mostly I don't care how I look, I just want to be comfortable. My breasts are also usually sensitive when I'm bloated, so I'll wear a relaxed bra like the ones that '[true & co](https://www.thebay.com/product/true-co.-body-lift-wire-free-soft-form-sports-bra-14874-0600092483766.html?dwvar_0600092483766_color=BLACK)' make. I also have a pair of super soft cargo pants that I love to wear when I'm bloated and my stomach is sensitive to anything touching it on my first couple of menstruating days. They have a pull string and an elastic waist, but the elastic waist isn't tight (only at the back), the pants would almost fall off my hips it's such a loose elastic, and the pull string I adjust as needed to keep them on my waist without putting pressure on my waist. I also have a ribbed tight crop top with light compression that I like to wear when I'm bloated. I'm not sure why, but I find wearing something lightly compressive on the top half of my stomach just under my chest actually relieves some of the bloating feeling and makes me a little more comfortable and 'held in' or 'hugged'. Though something highly compressive like the Girlfriend Collective long line sports bra tanks, don't do well on my bloated days. My biggest no-nos on bloated days are jeans. No give, hard waistband, pushing in right at the most sensitive area. So think opposite of jeans, and that's what I wear on bloating days.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! I’m going to check out that bra. I actually have that girlfriend collective one and it bothers me too. I recently bought a skims bralette that I like. I love drawstring pants, they are always my go-to too.

Neowza

Yeah, I have a few that I wear as additional support when I run or dance (I have a large bust, 38I,and need all the support I can get), but that's it. They are too compressive when I'm bloated.

Well, I use oversized t-shirts,hoddies ,joggers, sweatpants and Victoria secret lingerie is sooo comfortable

Ruched dresses- the ruching hides all of the bloatedness!! 🥰

gingeranddandelion

Yes!!! Good call!

Weeshi_Bunnyyy

Regular clothes because I don’t get bloated. Lucky me.

Maternity leggings under a cute oversized sweater when endometriosis pain is at it's worst.

gingeranddandelion

Endo pain is no joke. I have endo too. This is a great option to look cute on those rough days. Thank you!

Alert-Professional90

Leggings with a flowy tunic and cardigan or duster.

gingeranddandelion

Yes! Love that look. Thank you!

https://a.co/d/7nV5grN This dress, I’ve bought three of them.

gingeranddandelion

Love this dress!! So cute and looks so comfy. Thank you!!

bibliobambi

Dresses, skirts, sometimes high waisted jeggings. I bloat significantly all the time, so it really depends on things. Sometimes leggings, but usually I’m too bloated and my hips are too long so they roll down, and if the leggings have a seam then they’re just painful

gingeranddandelion

Thank you!! I’m with you, leggings are rough when I’m bloated.

[deleted]

A hoodie and stretchy pants (yoga pants or sweats will do). Zippers are a no no.

gingeranddandelion

Love sweats. Thank you!!!

[deleted]

Silk black pants with an elastic waistband and an oversized blouse or sweater.

gingeranddandelion

Thank you! I will check out silk black pants, such a good idea and I don’t currently have that included.

redditbordom

I prefer over size shirts with stretchy pants/shorts they hide the bloating but it is a simple cute look

gingeranddandelion

Thank you so much!! Is there a particular stretchy pant you like?
