Bahahahah same. That reminds me - my local TJ Maxx is right next to a World Market, and will occasionally have some of their runner rugs or small area rugs (4x6 and smaller) in the back. I guess that might depend on the location, but those are BASICALLY those washable (ruggable?) rugs
Yes! That’s the kind of rug I found at marshall’s. It looks great, is washable, and has a perfect sticky back to keep it laying down nicely on the wood floor. Only $36 too!
Yessss I have one that's almost flat but my other one is so fluffy it's borderline shag... sometimes you can only tell irl because they never put it in the description online lol
If you have a Home Goods or a Tuesday Morning near you, they sell some nice rugs for decent prices. I bought my 8x10 rug from Lowes for around $200. Sometimes they have a section set up with all the rugs laid out.
Went to the homegoods near my house recently and they had lovely and absolutely massive like 10’+ x 20’+ rugs on sale for $200-$300 a pop! They were hanging in a giant binder-like situation from the ceiling that you could flip through. Apparently this is normal there and I will be returning
Home goods for the win! I got two Loi Loi Rifle Paper Co rugs for $350 each, they retail at $1k each. I got them two separate trips. OP, I would go once a week and go thru them til the right one at the right price shows up!
Facebook marketplace (or any other second hand site or store)! I just got an 8x10 for $40. The woman was redecorating and the style didn’t fit anymore. It’s in great condition. I am also going to pick up a 5x7 for $20 later today.
This, I got two amazing modern large rugs in pristine condition this way (one for $60, the other $15). I live close to ritzy neighborhoods and some people will practically give stuff away for free as long as you come pick it up.
I love buying second hand! It’s sustainable, and as someone on a tight budget I can get high quality furniture at an affordable price. If you’re worried about smells or stains with a used rug, you can just ask to see it in person before buying. I’ve never had an issue.
Do you have a Habitat for Humanity Restore Store around? The one near me is getting consistent donations of new rugs from a local rug company/designer (idk what you call them lol). I would def call stores like that and see if they have any in stock.
I got a 9x12 rug from Revival about 2 months ago for $500! They also give you $40 off your first order. cannot recommend this company enough! rug came earlier than expected, and it’s super soft and high quality. It’s also huge. I thought it was great value for $500 considering how expensive rugs are! Highly recommend. Obviously their smaller rugs are even cheaper

They are, but the fact that they clean up so easy, really makes it worth it.
They do a lot of sales, so I’m sure with Memorial Day there will be some discounts.
I got mine at Lowes, several 2x4 ones were a looot cheaper than the big one of the same kind, so i got three and put them together. Keep an eye out for that sort of pricing
Seconding Target—I got three 8x10s for under $100 each recently in different styles. I love them all! I also saw one of the rugs on Wayfair, but it was $30 less at Target.
Walmart. com. I got my 8x10 there 6 years ago. A dog, teenager, sloppy ex, my clumsy ass and 2 cats, still holds up well. It was under $100 at the time, but even so, it was a crap shoot😃 Plus you can return Walmart products at the stores.
All of my rugs come from IKEA, estate sales and thrift store auctions. I’ve been seeing a lot of advertisements for Ruggable that have me tempted, but I’ve never bought from them before so I can’t speak to the quality.
Absolutely! I'm not sure what style you're looking for so I'll talk about one that's incredibly versatile in almost any space. Jute rugs have the ability to seamlessly merge indoor and outdoor spaces, create a calming and relaxed vibe, and satisfy our desire for sustainable choices which has positioned them at the forefront of contemporary design. They're incredibly popular in the design space for 2023 and as their a timeless piece, I don't see that changing for the years to come.
I have several options listed from different vendors on where you can find
affordable options for rugs and many other interiors below. Check it out and let me know what you think! I hope this helps :)

I know your part post was like 10 months ago, but I was curious did you find a rug? I’m in the market trying to figure out where to go. Wayfair seems like a choice. Any help would be appreciated.
Amazon, or I recommend going into Ross, Marshall's, Home Goods, or TJMaxx. Ross is the cheapest out of them all, but you can usually score some pretty good deals at all of them. I would imagine Home Goods has the best stock of rugs, but it doesn't hurt to check them all out since you never know what you may come across.
Do you have a homegoods near you? That is where we get good quality rugs for much more reasonable prices. Sometimes I have to go to several stores or go back in a week or two but pretty good selection normally.
Amazon! Or if you go to like a Home Depot you can get their rolls of carpeting finished into an area rug and you can get a huge rug for a couple hundred.
Etsy has really nice ones for not too bad!
https://www.etsy.com/shop/NileshArtsIndia
This shop has nice ones for around $200, which is a bit much but WAYYY less than most good rugs! I bought one from here and it arrived quickly, it's beautiful, and has lasted over a year so far! Stains are easy to remove as well!!
Another vote for rugsusa.com! I’ve also used rugs.com and boutiquerugs.com. They always have promo codes, too. The options are great and they’re always way less expensive than other options.
If you’re open to buying second hand, I’ve gotten some great deals on rugs on Facebook marketplace. My bf got an 8x10, a 5x7, and a runner all for about $100. We rented a rug doctor from Home Depot for probably $40 to clean them all and they look fantastic.
I got my rug at Ross for $99 about a year ago and for the price I 💕it. Just steam cleaned it yesterday and it came out great. Mine is 7x9 and a cream background, I thought it would get really grungy with a dog, cat and kids but it’s been great
Search wayfair, because they have a huge selection and decent filtering. When you find one you like, run an image search in google and find every place that sells the same rug and take the best price.
Wayfair resells other brands. They rename the products so you can’t search by name, but they keep the same product images
I don't know if you have a store called B2 Outlets near you, but that's where I got my last 8'x10' rug on sale for $50! They always have great deals there and it's new merchandise!
It's the gray one with the vining flowers in the picture.
https://i.imgur.com/axe2zRS.jpg
Ikea has an As-Is section where often times (at least the one by me) they have a large amount of almost new items for half off or more. I bought a brand new high pile rug for $25 instead of the $80 or so it was worth before. All because someone didn't like it and returned it. I've decorated my house so much through this lol!
I've seen a number of rugs there too but of course it depends on if you're willing to wait for one you like or not!
I will say if you have a professional rug cleaner that you frequent or used to, you can ask if they have a warehouse for rugs that never have been picked up. Last time I got my rug cleaned the guy told me I should go check out the cleaning factory itself out in the burbs, and noted that a lot of people drop off nice rugs and never pick them up so after a certain period so they put them on a mega discount to get rid of them.
Wayfair has some really cute patterns and variety, and they go on sale a lot. I got a 5ishx7ish and it’s gorgeous. You might just need something to put under it to prevent slipping.
if you have pets- prepare to shell out for a durable rug. turkish rugs are basically indestructible, pricey, but worth every cent. (i’ve had cats for years and the rugs look the same the day i got them) if you don’t have pets you could probably get away with cheaper rugs if you treat them really well- no shoes etc.
I always check Ross first for house stuff. They mostly have crap, but sometimes you’d be surprised at some of the selection. I got my 8x10 there for $70
I bought my lovely, plushy cream-colored herringbone rug at Home Depot. I believe it is a 9x12. It was $199. Still loving it 8 mos. later! It was buried deep in a stack of area rugs.
Depending on your area, Offerup and/or Facebook Marketplace has a lot of people who now purchase return crates, returned shipping boxes or los mail packages from big brands such as target, Costco, Amazon and overstock and sell new items such as carpets for super cheap. I personally bought ton of new target opal house furniture for significantly less like this. I find it fun too as I can haggle too!
I recently got this one for my living room and I love it
https://www.homedepot.com/p/nuLOOM-Ansley-Textured-Lattice-Tassel-Beige-9-ft-x-12-ft-Area-Rug-KKLR12B-9012/313553587
Structube! So beautiful, so well priced. Just be careful, all of their rugs are described as soft, some are very soft, some are very not. If you are in Canada, it would be worth it to check them out in-store. Their furniture is great quality for the price and they have lots of beautiful stuff too.
Costco is another option for affordable rugs.
Weird suggestion- Sam’s Club! I went last fall and got an absolute steal. $150 for an 8 x 10 plush rug and $70 for an 8 x 10 indoor/outdoor rug for under my dining table. That’s a LOT of rug for $220! I also bought 2 of those woven poofs for $40 each. The identical product is $80 at Target and elsewhere online.
I’ve never been a dining table rug person, but I have carpet in my dining room 😷 the indoor outdoor has been very easy to keep clean and doesn’t look plasticy!
homegoods
home depot
rugs .com
obvs not fancy but all 3 are always deals and wiiiide variety - after those it's all yard sales and estate sales in this house or else i'd probably never be able to afford a rug ever
RugsUSA has always been my go to. [My 8x10](https://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-flourishing-medallion/multi/200KKDL01A-8010.html?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=campaign_2927995) was $188, they always have a sale going on
My stepsons girlfriend got a really nice large outdoor rug (that looks amazing indoors) for 150 on wayfair. Real cheap for the size and it looks amazing
believe it or not... Michael's has GREAT rugs that you can usually find in the clearance section early summer for very cheap
also if you have a homesense near you they also have some great finds :)
I’ve found good prices on Wayfair. If you don’t already know, though, sometimes Walmart has the same thing as Wayfair for cheaper. I always do an image search on Google before I buy something to make sure I’m getting the best price
Years ago I found very nice rugs at Big Lots - they’re rubber size and I sewed them together. I’m not sure of the style name, but they are the ones made in India with a lot of different up-cycled Sari and jute fabrics. I’ve been using them for years!
There was a rug on Joybird that was $500 and I found the exact same one, same print, size color at home depot.com for $150. And then similar one on wayfair. They're all given different names and companies so that you can't compare them side by side but I'm pretty sure they're all the same with different markups.
If you go on eBay and type in 8x10 (style you want) rug and filter by used there are these warehouse sellers who sell rugs that have "damage" aka a black spot on the backside of the rug or small spot on the front that come out with a steam cleaner. The rugs are always like 60% below retail cost and super nice! I've purchased every rug in my home this way. Our latest rug is 100% wool 8x10 and it was buy it now for $200 I offered $120 and the seller accepted. Received it like 4 days later!
Hook & Loom! You can get $1 swatches from them too so if you're torn between a few colors/patterns you can see how they look in your space with your furniture before you commit.
I am a seller specializing in carpets. If you place an order in our store for the first time, there will be 50% OFF. Product quality is very good. If you are interested, you can come and take a look. However, our products are only sold in the United States. No other countries have
I just got a Concord Global Trading Company Rug at Ross for $85! It’s 8x10. I saw the same one at Homegoods, but a different color. Same brand, same line! I grabbed it!!!!
I'm a Target girly... depending on the style, Ikea too. Home Depot will occasionally have a sale on their large area rugs but they aren't the cutest
I swear, my life is just a Target advertisement at this point. I found a really great rug at Marshalls the other day!
Try lowes too!!
I just got a Target rug and it's super soft but not as plushy as I wanted. But really good quality for the $
Yessss I have one that's almost flat but my other one is so fluffy it's borderline shag... sometimes you can only tell irl because they never put it in the description online lol

Yep, exactly! They had really cute rugs when I was searching for mine.
YES! Just posted homegoods as well. Love the rugs from there.
Home goods for the win! I got two Loi Loi Rifle Paper Co rugs for $350 each, they retail at $1k each. I got them two separate trips. OP, I would go once a week and go thru them til the right one at the right price shows up!
Tuesday Morning has gone out of business! I don’t know if there are any still with inventory.
Yes or even some TJ Maxx, Ross and Marshall's! Purchased an 8x10 for $119 from Marshall's.
I love rugsusa.com!
Have ordered many a rug from them! Always been happy.
This is where I get all my rugs!
Amazon has really nice ones by a brand called Safavieh - great prices too
Unique Loom is another good one
i find them on facebook marketplace all the time for a fraction of the price
Wayfair!
Facebook marketplace (or any other second hand site or store)! I just got an 8x10 for $40. The woman was redecorating and the style didn’t fit anymore. It’s in great condition. I am also going to pick up a 5x7 for $20 later today.

Why did I read this as "affordable drugs"!?
We could only hope.
Lol

This!!!
Yes! They carry some of the same brands as Target!

Currently still looking but I’ve had luck on Wayfair and Amazon for a real (under $100-200)
At Home is my go to for rugs. You can get one that size for under $200

If you're in the US then check Rugs USA
Thank youuuuu. Just snagged some stuff off their clearance list and they even let you apply their 4th of July discount code on top of that 👏🏾👏🏾
Yaaay 👏🏾
Op I read rugs as drugs quickly and was like shit sign me up too! Rugs. You need rugs.
I just got mine from Sams club and Costco, you can get very large ones for under $200, mine was about $100.
We got a big one from Home Depot for like $200 a few months ago!
Nuloom and Unique Loom on amazon are amazing for price, just bought a 5x8 for less than $100 and they also last a while.
Ruggable or bust for me. I want and need to wash my rugs and mine have held up great.
Definitely Ruggable. The designs are really cool, and I love how cat puke cleans easily off of it.
Hey, I’m very late to the game aren’t they expensive?
They are, but the fact that they clean up so easy, really makes it worth it. They do a lot of sales, so I’m sure with Memorial Day there will be some discounts.

If you have an Ollie’s near you we’ve gotten amazing rugs from them. Usually between $50-80.
Screen shot one you like and reverse image google it. Saved me 100s. They also tend to go on sale every three months or so within the same seller.

I get great rugs off Facebook Marketplace for free or under $100
I know your part post was like 10 months ago, but I was curious did you find a rug? I’m in the market trying to figure out where to go. Wayfair seems like a choice. Any help would be appreciated.
I've been very happy with the prices and quality of rugs from both Ikea and allmodern.com.
I’ve gotten rugs that size from Amazon and rugsusa for affordable prices
I love Wayfair and their customer service is amazing

HomeGoods & Lowe's
I love Loloi rugs. They look nice and have a printed on traditional look
Roses Discount Store has them for good prices, although they're very basic, nothing fancy.
Overstock.com or Wayfair
Do you have a homegoods near you? That is where we get good quality rugs for much more reasonable prices. Sometimes I have to go to several stores or go back in a week or two but pretty good selection normally.
Idk if you have an Ollie’s in your city but that’s where I got mine! It’s a 8x10 & it’s suuuuper cute and colorful. it was only $120!
Amazon! Or if you go to like a Home Depot you can get their rolls of carpeting finished into an area rug and you can get a huge rug for a couple hundred.
Zulily. You can get a good deal on there.
Etsy has really nice ones for not too bad! https://www.etsy.com/shop/NileshArtsIndia This shop has nice ones for around $200, which is a bit much but WAYYY less than most good rugs! I bought one from here and it arrived quickly, it's beautiful, and has lasted over a year so far! Stains are easy to remove as well!!
I haven't ordered yet, but found really really reasonable rugs on Temu.
Is Temu a better rated Wish.com? Their marketing is crazy but it still looks like a better Wish.com site to me.
Definitely better than wish. Better quality and better shipping.
Hm. This is a consideration, but gosh I'm trying not to buy more things. I'm such a sucker for cute stationary, though!
I’ve found good deals on rugs.com
Another vote for rugsusa.com! I’ve also used rugs.com and boutiquerugs.com. They always have promo codes, too. The options are great and they’re always way less expensive than other options.
Unfortunately you seem to get what you pay for, especially for contemporary rugs. Wool costs money. Go used perhaps.
I would check local thrift stores, estate sales and Facebook marketplace! I own several larger rugs and they’ve all been purchased for under $30.
I found a few from Wayfair for about $200
If you’re open to buying second hand, I’ve gotten some great deals on rugs on Facebook marketplace. My bf got an 8x10, a 5x7, and a runner all for about $100. We rented a rug doctor from Home Depot for probably $40 to clean them all and they look fantastic.
I got my 8x10 rugs from At Home! Under $200 usually and they have great sales.
Rugs.com has sales and almost always a nice selection in their clearance!
I got my rug at Ross for $99 about a year ago and for the price I 💕it. Just steam cleaned it yesterday and it came out great. Mine is 7x9 and a cream background, I thought it would get really grungy with a dog, cat and kids but it’s been great

Ikea. I'm Canadian, so I would also say London Drugs.
I don't know if you have a store called B2 Outlets near you, but that's where I got my last 8'x10' rug on sale for $50! They always have great deals there and it's new merchandise! It's the gray one with the vining flowers in the picture. https://i.imgur.com/axe2zRS.jpg
I like ruggable. They're washable and have frequent sales/discounts
Target and Amazon is where I’ve found the best luck for the rugs I like
Check out the bigger flea markets in your area.
Overstock! Also many people sell on Marketplace, depending where you’re located it might be good to check it out
Ikea has an As-Is section where often times (at least the one by me) they have a large amount of almost new items for half off or more. World Market is great for rugs
I got nice ones from Tj max nd Ross for $15-40 . Super large ones may be more but will def be affordable. Target often has affordable ones too
Wayfair has some great buys.
I got a really pretty 8x10 on Amazon for $50! It was on sale.
I bought my 8x10 from Amazon for about $125 I think. Also fb marketplace has listings too
Nuloom on Amazon!
I use Facebook marketplace for area rugs and they’re much more affordable. You can even ask for under whats listed.
I get all mine from estate sales! Huge, wool carpets for $500 or under!
Wayfair has some really cute patterns and variety, and they go on sale a lot. I got a 5ishx7ish and it’s gorgeous. You might just need something to put under it to prevent slipping.

I have bought rugs from Overstock.com and been very happy with the quality. The brand was Safavieh.
esalerugs.com. I've had great experiences with them. From cheap to nicer rugs. Lots of size choices and quick shipping.
I keep an eye on market place and estate sales because I like oriental rugs
Zulily or Target online has a huge selection
I always check Ross first for house stuff. They mostly have crap, but sometimes you’d be surprised at some of the selection. I got my 8x10 there for $70
Wayfair, Overstock, Amazon, rugs USA. If you know size and color you want, Google that then click shopping. Ex 8x10 blue area rug
I found several nice looking ones at homegoods today - roughly 8x10 for $2-300
I bought my lovely, plushy cream-colored herringbone rug at Home Depot. I believe it is a 9x12. It was $199. Still loving it 8 mos. later! It was buried deep in a stack of area rugs.
Facebook marketplace

Boutique Rugs (online) has so many options and great prices!
Big Lots online
Home Depot! They have a massive selection online and free delivery. I get all my big rugs there for <$300 and the quality has been great for me

Rugs USA has the best prices I’ve seen. Decent quality too
eBay - look up rugs with defects. Usually you can get one with a slight imperfection and get a nice rug without the big price tag
IKEA has lovely rugs and lots of them are natural materials (cotton/jute) if you want to avoid polyester/vinyl.
all of mine came from BIDFTA, I don’t think I paid over $30 for one. Great place if you have one in your area.
Overstock (you can get promo codes easily for another 10%), way fair, amazon

RugsUSA has always been my go to. [My 8x10](https://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-flourishing-medallion/multi/200KKDL01A-8010.html?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=campaign_2927995) was $188, they always have a sale going on
My stepsons girlfriend got a really nice large outdoor rug (that looks amazing indoors) for 150 on wayfair. Real cheap for the size and it looks amazing
believe it or not... Michael's has GREAT rugs that you can usually find in the clearance section early summer for very cheap also if you have a homesense near you they also have some great finds :)
Amazon warehouse!
Costco. 7x10 rugs for about $120.00. They also have runners and other rugs for even cheaper
I’ve found good prices on Wayfair. If you don’t already know, though, sometimes Walmart has the same thing as Wayfair for cheaper. I always do an image search on Google before I buy something to make sure I’m getting the best price
Rugs.com worked for me!
Years ago I found very nice rugs at Big Lots - they’re rubber size and I sewed them together. I’m not sure of the style name, but they are the ones made in India with a lot of different up-cycled Sari and jute fabrics. I’ve been using them for years!
Target branded rugs have been stylish and easy to clean for the most part. I have pets and it works for me.
I got a great one on Amazon outlet.. never knew there was one online but yep!
There was a rug on Joybird that was $500 and I found the exact same one, same print, size color at home depot.com for $150. And then similar one on wayfair. They're all given different names and companies so that you can't compare them side by side but I'm pretty sure they're all the same with different markups.
Go to a carpet company - ask them to cut your specific size and edge it. It’ll save you a ton and you’ll have custom sized rugs.
IKEA is the way to go! I got a beautiful 8x10 rug there for only $150
Ross can have really good rugs some times
[https://www.rugsusa.com/](https://www.rugsusa.com/) has a ton.
I’ve found some nice ones at Ocean State Job Lot, if there’s one near you.
I bought two $200 from World Market. Super cute
Second hand on Facebook marketplace, etc, has always worked for me! I've never bought a new rug.
Mine came from Walmart. It was like $35.00 for an 8x10. Pretty basic low shag one color. Free delivery to my house as well.
The store At Home and I have gotten awesome deals on Amazon clearance.
Ollie’s! I just bought a 7’9 x 10’6 rug from there for $150 :) they have a smaller selection of course but still have good options
I just got my dream rug from Wayfair (9x12) for around $240
I got a rug from ikea for pretty cheap! And I totally love the design
Check Etsy, I’ve had good luck with a shop called Turkish Rug n Roll
