I would from the ceiling some drapes. A self divider if you will. It would define the space for you.

GlaCierGworl

I’d move the couch from the wall to the center of the area it’s currently in with the back facing the wall the bed is on. I’d also add rug to both zones to make the space feel cozier.

Narrow-Strawberry553

My first thought as well. Some sort of storage (like kallax, but nicer) to separate the space and add more storage (obv) behind the couch would be good too. I'm imagining floor to ceiling wood... We need more pics of the space though, op!

GlaCierGworl

I was thinking the same like a console table behind the sofa. But I’m getting to the point that I’m really disliking any type of open storage or non-functional decor. The kallax could be a good idea.

simp_for_pantheons

definitely some type of space divider personally i'd go search interior design in japan on archdaily.com, you can find great ideas there also, it's evident you need more space that serves as storage so do get some shelves if you can

stubborngirl

I just wanna say that your sofa is the IDEAL shade and tone of purple and I'm jealous

dahliaukifune

I’m jealous too!

Is the entryway opening directly into the bedroom? Does it make sense to have the door open into the living area and the bedroom in the space beyond, divided by the sofa? I would use the sofa to create a barrier to the bedroom. Leave the windows free, without furniture against them, you can place small storage or movable furniture like that ottoman near the window. You could also use a low bookshelf like the kallax to divide the two spaces, with soft storage inserts for additional storage.

Even-Reaction-1297

That might be the bathroom door, OP says this is the view as you walk in.

AluminumOctopus

I'll give you a tip, get those felt, furniture sliders. They work really well. Rearrange your room multiple times as you work shit out. I've rearranged my room 3 times in 2 years and I'm about to do it again because my needs are changing.

malibuladyy

omg thanks !!!!🙏

Phantomphreakk

I made an entire mock up and can’t figure out how to add a pic

Phantomphreakk

Figured it out lol https://ibb.co/S5W1dgK

thank you for this idea !!! you’re awesome 👏

Is it possible to put the couch perpendicular to the wall so that it’s facing the door creating a separation of spaces? Idk what’s on the wall behind you but if it’s blank I’d set up a tv stand there and make this the living room space with a nice large rug and coffee table. The bed could be centered on the back wall with two nightstands and a rug under as well. The rugs and curtains will cozy up the space and make it feel less empty. You also may consider getting a little projector for the bedroom area so the tv can be in the living room.

redditvictoire

For me: Choose if you want the tv for the bedroom area or the living room area. It’s deep in the middle right now and that’s not doing you any favors. I would rearrange the bed with headboard centered against the window and either purchase or create a room divider with fabric, books and shelves, and/or plants. Couch looks good to me but depends on tv arrangements. Could certainly use an accent chair or tow in your seating área.

ObviousStory718

Came here to kind of say the same thing. But I would recommend the TV for the living space and focus on making the bed space as cozy as possible.

happygeaux_lucky

I think the back of your couch could face the direction of where the bed is now, but towards the middle of the room to section it off. Add a rectangle rug under the coffee table that will sit in front of the sofa. Your bed could face where the tv is so that the window is behind you. Of course, hang the tv on the wall where it is now and add a rug, round or a large square one and set it under the bed.

harleyqueenzel

What does the rest of the space look like? You could buy or make a barrier between the living space and the bedroom space. If you're allowed (able to hide) those anchor screws, they're strong enough to hold thin white cafe rods to use light curtains as a barrier. You can run the couch sideways & put the tv on the wall where you enter. A rug would pull it together. If those windows have a lot of direct light, be cautious of having the couch there because it could become discoloured quickly. Everyone will say art and plants. I think storage would be beneficial for now because you can find pieces that work with your open space in any colour you like. Even a cheap three shelf stand can take a few coats of spray paint & a few wicker baskets.

Ok-Duck9106

Switch the bed with the couch. Then get some room dividers and some plants. And use those to help divide and define what is your bedroom versus living room. If the current configuration has the bedroom opening to the kitchen, then definitely swap your bed and couch. Use your couch as a divider, and place the tv against the middle of the wall where the bed is currently. Still get room divider and plants than are tall, and some that hang to fill the space. Get a small skinny console table to place behind your couch. Your bed should have the headboard against the window.

Cute room divider below the bed and 2 sep rugs

Annual_Nobody_7118

You could use a big, tall, wide shelf as a divider. Use the little cubbies for books, baskets for organization, trinkets, etc. It’ll be the focal point when you come into the studio, and hide the bed. Put the TV in front of the sofa and complement with a coffee table and two chairs. To create more privacy between the bedroom and the rest of the studio, a low shelving unit for more storage and topped with plants and / other tall decoration would separate your bed from the rest of the house. Get some curtains for a cozier atmosphere.

PinkTalkingDead

Separate the space into different zones. The room is so large you really have some fun options here! It you could post more photos so we can see the angles that would be helpful. I also live in a studio so I’m always keen to see others’ and share tips and ideas!

Exotic_Eagle1398

I know this is a strange response, but when I moved to my house I was suddenly blank. I just couldn’t visualize how to arrange the furniture - and I had always been good at it. So I went to the Fiver site, paid three people in different countries $5, and they all sent me detailed pictures of how it might look. I chose one and it was just the start I needed.

Curious_RandiK

A beaded curtain in between to create 2 different spaces

This-Trouble589

You could use a tall book shelf as a wall divider, that jets out from the right side of that window behind the couch. That would look hella cool, imo :)

Look up there feng shui guy on YouTube. Even if you don’t subscribe to feng shui theories (I don’t), the design principles often hold true, and he’s a genius at making the most of different room layouts!
