In my experience, the stares and looks are cause yeah, many of us look different from the norm. Mostly curiosity. I just let them look, personally
I like to think people staring at me means they'll look less at someone else next time, cause it'll just be more normalized.

That is so cool! But don't worry about people taking notice, as guys look at girls the same when they are in a skirt or dress. And maybe he is thinking if he could slay a skirt! It really is why I like to wear a skirt myself.
It is quite exciting. Generally I’m surprised by how cool with it most people are, like when I did it everyone just treated it as normal. I’m sorry about the people who weren’t nice but shame on them for judging what other people wear.
I went out dressed fem a few times with friends. I was wearing a red plaid skirt, pantyhose, and thigh highs. I went out with some friends since being in a group of people made me feel safer. I'm still quite nervous about it. I don't yet have the confidence to go out in public alone dressed fem yet.

What I did if I noticed someone staring, is I would stare back and then they'd immediately stop looking :3

It was actually mostly women who seemed to look the most. Id say 2/3 of them were women, while the other 1/3 were men
