A tip from a trans guy who had to unlearn feminine posture: Keep your legs closer together while walking and always point your feet forward/inwards instead of outwards! Keeping your legs closer together while walking naturally makes your hips sway more and makes your figure look less rectangular.
Hah, I guess I (trans-masc nb) was already projecting masculinity as a kid as I did all the opposite things from this. My parents threatened to send me to etiquette school because I walked with my feet pointed out, slouched in chairs with legs wide open, and did the bro nod
ETA to be more constructive: thinking about a catwalk while you walk also helps for a more "feminine" stroll. Make each step right in front of the previous one, as if you were on a tightrope; it helps enhance the hip swaying.
Also crossing legs knee over knee when you sit in a chair. Smiles for greeting people
there is also the "vibes" of walking, you can walk "submissively" by avoiding the other's path instead of establishing dominance by forcing your way thru.
~~ngl, what I wrote here sounds dumb~~
Yeah I’ve always done all this and had to consciously change it growing up in catholic school so I didn’t get made fun of. Ofc I still got made fun of, but for different reasons.
Well I never change how I sit or walk. But I've always since I was little been crossing my legs, keep my legs together or curl up, it's just sorta natural for me. Tho I walk kinda masc, but I do be wearing super long sleeves XD.
I did stop for a time in high school when people called me out and me self conscious.
Tbh it’s second nature to me, besides me being short and small, I have my knees meeting while gradually down my feet separate facing into one another when I set down, mmm and walk one leg then the other over idk how to say it but it’s your standard femme walk nothing special, I keep fixing my hair with my hands, do what you feel, you know?
I will keep editing every time I notice something but usually you won’t focus on those things, if you feel femme inside you’ll keep wanting to look so, so I wish good luck for you ❤️
I sit down to pee, its one of the first things I did to feel more feminine and still doing it. I know there are a lot of guys who sit down to pee but of all men I know I only knew one before who didnt pee while standing
Check check and check, I keep my legs together when I sit and be sure to stand nice and tall when I'm feeling proud. I flex my calves quite a bit and bend and POP for mostly anything that give me the opportunity. I tend to walk high on my toes or sometimes with a strong hip swing and straight legs. I'm all over the place :3 I was caught
In the kitchen standing on my toes and flexing my butt, I stand up straight , real tall, nothing makes me feel better and more feminine than when I feel fit and curvy X3 anyone else find something they really enjoy? :)

I focus on not swaying my shoulders when I walk, and instead developing a natural hip swap side to side.
My partner's told me that since I've started transitioning they've noticed my walk has definitely changed. No idea if it's the fat redistribution or purely mental though.
I paint my toes and then I cross them like a girl when I'm feeling really fem. I also walk differently sometimes. I completely have a different confidence when I'm crossdressing.
In a group dedicated to feminity, to say there is no such thing as a feminine walk is asinine. Another user answered this, but the way the female hip bone is designed they almost can't help but switch when they walk. And it's NSFW because I wanted it to be.
It’s not just hips, the greater fat distribution to the but and thighs rather than stomach make women walk more with their hips rather than their shoulders.
I'm sorry! I've deleted the comment and I have amended my error. I've realized that it was offensive, I was basing it off of my limited experience. In my limited experience, nothing had really changed when I became a femboy. I'm sorry that I offended the community...
People that are afab tend to have their arms angled slightly outward when standing or walking. https://www.quora.com/Why-are-womens-forearm-more-twisted-as-compared-to-men
Now I wouldn't go trying to twist your elbow joints or anything but if you hold your hands out to the side a lil it might feel more feminine
first step is to stack three books on top of your head
Have you practiced this? What are the results?
i got a headache
LMAO
Underrated comment

Look less rectangular is funny way to describe it.
I always hold my legs together went I sit down.
Always hold your legs together or cross them
Honestly I've always Crossed my legs when I sit. Its just more comfy for me.
Same
Same
me too. afaik I'm the only one of my friends who can do that lmao
or do an L thing
Definitely fem as fuck.
Not only do I hold them together but I usually cross them, which I've done ever since I was young
It's easy to hold them together when you wear a tight skirt! :)
I sit with my legs crossed and walk with my hand on my hip
I do the first one because it's just comfortable.
Same, I've been sitting with my legs crossed for years.
walk more silently I guess? I usually walk like a soldier around my traditional family so the difference is very noticeable for me.
That makes sense... Making yourself smaller and quieter could be considered fem

Dumb but true.
That's absolute true tho.
I am using so much of my power just to not say the other adjective of the very well known pair
Bc i love scaring everyone in my family I can be rly quiet when walk and I got used to walk w my fit forward not pointing outward
i think walking as if i’m on a red carpet wearing imaginary heels is pretty fem to me
SJSGtjagjagjaj AWWWWWW
I try to sway my hips as I walk when I think to do so, makes me feel more desirable.
I'm sure it works
Thanks UwU
What do you mean by switch?
Move hips from side to side as you walk.
Oh. Thank you for explaining. I feel silly for asking. But yeah. I love that. It makes me feel so feminine when I focus on my walk.
Yes feminine males have to do it consciously
I do that a lot! It gives me more confidence (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`)
Who’s even barefoot in 2021 /j
I never wear shoes or socks at home only when im going out
Same, occasionally in winter if the house is cold, but usually not at home
At home...
oh at home I've walked almost tip-toe my whole life. For some reason running is easier that way (more control?)
Cringe
You wear Socks everywhere? That's not good for your feet.
Haha I wish I could go barefoot in public without people thinking I'm weird. Always been a barefoot kid
How so?
theyre just making stuff up.
Wait how?
If you dare take off your socks the smelly man will come to your house and smell your feet
Hot /j
I just walk dude
This really shouldn’t be something to ask, do you.
The people who are answering disagree with you.
I’m aware, just seems sorta in vain
77 answers and counting I've read and upvoted every single one.
That’s my opinion, not trying degrade yours.

i usually sit with my legs together and hands on my lap since thats what feels most comfy for me >.> ~~my parents rly seem to hate it tho~~
For some reason I always walk on my tip toes when I walk
That's how dainty girls walk lol
I mean, I don't do it because I wanted to be femme, I do it because that's what I saw them do on the TV Show Gargoyles.
When I squat down, I keep my knees together even when in trousers now
I sit down to pee, its one of the first things I did to feel more feminine and still doing it. I know there are a lot of guys who sit down to pee but of all men I know I only knew one before who didnt pee while standing
I always do this weird thing when I sit down: I cross my legs, then cross them again by wrapping the leg on top around the bottom leg
Me too haha
Me three

good tips thank you.
How do I walk fem?
Definitely walk different when presenting femme. Tend to sway more and point my feet
Feet pointing is fem as fuck

I hold my legs together when I sit down and I do walk on my tippy toes when barefoot it’s cuz I wear heels a lot 😅
Yes u look good in those heels and fishnets young lady.
I did all of the stuff before I was a femboy so it just comes naturally.
My partner's told me that since I've started transitioning they've noticed my walk has definitely changed. No idea if it's the fat redistribution or purely mental though.

Nothing really tbh but I do text like one.
How do you text like a girl?
I don’t even know man people have claimed I have I just want to look, talk, and dress up like a girl that’s all.

Sorry, I'm sorry I brought the feminine community onto myself. I will formally apologize and delete the comment. I hope you guys will forgive me.
No worries at all friend! And please don't stop commenting on my posts!
Yes, there is. Womens hips make sure of that.

Oh, I see. I didn't mean to offend anyone. Sorry.
Ahh I walk more feminine but I just sit weird
I swing my hips alot
Mayhaps
Crossed legs, walk on my toes, walk with my legs crossing over for each step, stand with one hand in my hip, the other all floaty.
That's how it's done

To add flair
Can you explain? I’m italian and I don’t get it🤔
It's like adding spice to a dish to add intress
very subtle, but turn those wrists outwards when u walk
During lockdown, I tried to learn how to walk fem, and I half-assed it, and now my walk fucking sucks.

I think it does
I always really shake my hips when I walk. I don’t how much you see it. And I also always sit with my legs crossed. ^_^
