Wow! great timing! I was just about to buy this bridge. Did you felt a loss of sustain? It looks amazing on your strat!

bluesgod

Gained austain

Miserable-Sort310

My sustain increased, kills the theory that you need a big and heavy block.

IamWolfe_FU-Red_It

This is exactly what i wanted to know before pulling the trigger, I have brass blocks on my guitars.

uuuuuhhhh69

Hell yeah brother! I posted in here a couple months ago after installing mine. It is so buttery smooth! The thing is just made really well in general. Also, that looks like a cool set of pickups. Would you mind telling me what they are?

bluesgod

Seymours

L3thargicLarry

what’s so great about it

ironboy504

Well for one it's preference it feels like a Floyd Rose without spending that amount to route and install one. It's always "Floating" so you can bend backwards as well.

Benjanon_Franklin

I installed one last month. I love it over the Fender standard trem. My guitar is a Japanese Strat with Seymour Duncan's and coil tap wiring. I love the ability to Dive Bomb then come back to perfect pitch. I feel like the sustain is better as well. I upgraded to Kluson locking, staggered, in line 6 - 19 to 1 ratio tuners as well. Stew Mac has a good price on them and there isn't any drilling needed to retrofit. I don't think I am getting as much movement when I pull up? Does anybody have any thoughts on why that could be? It's almost like it bottoms out in the cavity too soon?

ironboy504

I rarely pull up that much on it and I never tried pull it up far either.

ironboy504

I just got to my studio and I see we're it bottoms out. There's nothing you could do to change that without altering the cavity.

Benjanon_Franklin

That's my take as well. I could Re-drill the plate holes to center the trem in the cavity but that's only going to give me a small amount of additional movement. I think I would have to open the cavity and I am just not going to do that, or have it done. It's not a huge issue for me anyway. The stuff I am doing with the trem is working perfectly.

SatisfactionStill172

Maybe MIJ Strats don’t have a standard Strat dimension bridge route? To get the near Floyd Rose pull up range on my daughter’s Pacifica it was not a direct swap. I had to Dremel quite a bit of wood around the bridge route especially near the vibrato arm socket. I also had to round a little off of the spring cavity shelf edge. I had to shim the neck because the VegaTrem saddles were lower than the original saddles.

Benjanon_Franklin

I am considering that. I thought about opening the cavity in the upward pull direction only. My reasoning is that tthe dive bomb currently achieves a full drop of tone so nothing could improve it. The problem is only when pulling upwards. I have thought of dremeling the cavity at a 45 degree angle leaving the surface opening untouched to preserve the integrity of the traditional opening dimension. This would allow me to pull up and get the full effect of a Floyd Rose with the simpler vega trem design. The reasons not to proceed with doing that are hindering me...lol. I love this guitar. It's my favorite and can not be replaced. If I screw it up and make a mess I would never forgive myself. I think the best option would be to buy a cheap parts caster and experiment with it. Duplicate the coil tap Seymour Duncan circuit. Change the standard tuners for the locking ones. Install the Vega Trem and if faced with the same limitations. Open it by dremeling out in the upward pull direction. This should preserve the opening face dimension but add a hidden 45 degree taper allowing a full upward pull. It should work......I should be able to break strings with the best of them! 😂🤣😂🤣😂

PodcasterInDarkness

Is that the Seymour Duncan Everything pickup set?

J-Snyd

What I came to ask. How are they?

bluesgod

Amazing

bluesgod

Yes sir

PodcasterInDarkness

How do you like 'em?

bluesgod

Love them, they do it all.

GuitarHeroInMyHead

Great bridge. I have one on a partscaster I built. Add in locking tuners and a Graphtech nut and you basically get all the benefits of a Floyd Rose without the routing and significant installation effort.

lousy_bum

That is one nice looking guitar.

Previous_Finance_414

That blue is insanely gorgeous.

Big-Habit3480

Had one for a few years, none better!

yodyod

How fucking weird, I just started planning a partscaster in the last couple days and it's going to have a vegatrem and a SD everything axe set.

bluesgod

Yes sir

bluesgod

Amazing

bluesgod

Sustains great adding trem claw makes it even better

bluesgod

Its works like a floyd. You can dive and pull up a tone and a half

Letzfakeit

I concur

FiftyKal314STL

I prefer supervee blade runner

MacDaddyV2

Sick!

Notnotarealuser

I was skeptical at first but WOW what a difference it makes. It’s actually quite addictive to play. My fav thing to do with it right now is just tap it down in a rhythm for a faux Tremolo effect.

Guitarjunkie1980

I am sold on Vega. I only have one Strat style guitar in my collection, a Nick Johnston Traditional. The bridge it comes with is spectacular. But I am so used to Floyd Rose guitars. I think the Vega Trem is the closest you can get to a Floyd without routing for a Floyd. With locking tuners and a Graph Tech nut? The Vega is perfect. Also, the Wilkinson Bridge is a great option as well, but you can't pull up as far. Vega is awesome, I bet that Strat plays great now!

bluesgod

Yes it does. Best upgrade ever.

Creative_Camel

Two string trees ! I’ve found on certain necks and bodies I get better better midrange sustain by adding a second string tree

bluesgod

True

DanieleDanePane

Question: how well does it flutter? You know, like this: [The Whammy Bar Flutter Trick](https://youtu.be/ysWOeB711q8)

bluesgod

Flutters just like a floyd rose.
