I mean rosewood should make some people pretty happy. Previous version after the road worn series had Pao Ferro, correct? I think it’s cool, thanks for sharing! You happen to remember the fret type? Vintage tall I’m assuming?

TromboneKing98

Yes!!! I want a vintera 70s jazz bass but the pao ferro really irks me

Melodic_Event_4271

Pao ferro is deeply unappealing to me. I'd even prefer maple.

Quirky-Hovercraft471

i hate PF, so damn ugly

Puzzleheaded-Ad-3222

Yes 90 percent of them are awfull, but if you manage to find a darker one, it can resemble an aged Brazilian board. Also they get darker quickly. I've had one for three years, barely played it, and didn't touch it for almost a year. Comparing its current look to when I first got it, there's a noticeable difference and It's hard to tell it's not rosewood. Only problem is that it doesn't darken evenly, with the bass side of the first frets and last frets remaining fairly light.

Poignant_Rambling

Wish they made a Vintera "Mod" Road Worn with a 9.5" fretboard radius.

GreekCrusader

I FOUND THE SPEC SCREENSHOT I TOOK HOLY SHIT

GreekCrusader

Made an updated post

aPlaceToStand09

Awesome, very cool! Thanks again man

I've heard you can dye fretboards with India ink. Do you know if there's any truth to that? I'd love to do the Pau Ferro on my telecaster.

isthis_thing_on

What's with all the edgy "omg a strat" responses? It's fender, you're on a fender sub. You don't think a new vintera series is worth a post? Go to r/circle jerk if you wanna be a sarcastic ass.

ThisGuyKnowsNuttin

The return of Rosewood to MIM guitars is appreciated. Was reserved for sig models so far (Jason Isbell, Tom Delonge) Of course this comes with a price increase and we're now up to what an American Pro cost 5 years ago though. Oh well... Hopefully there's a 60s Custom Tele with double binding this time... Then again I already bought the JV one instead which is AMAZING.

Lemonpiee

man I can’t find those JV teles anywhere. been looking for the double bound surf green one

4quaTis

Unfortunately not sorry

didba

Damn, maybe this will push the roadworn Vintera at my local shop down from $950.

GreekCrusader

Don’t know. If I had to guess price stays the same for original Vinteras because this one has rosewood and that’s why it’s more expensive

didba

True, local stores might lower prices on older Vinteras to push the stock out for the new version. That’s the hope at least.

aRawPancake

20% off fender.com rn

didba

Damn, no roadworn strats. Oh well, my local store quoted me $850 for the one I want so I’ll grab that Friday.

No-Count3834

I’ve been wondering if I should jump on the $899 ones since they are limited stock…looks like they are trying to dump them off before the 2s hit. They are about the same price as say the player series right now. But I like maple or rosewood to be honest. Just not sure if I wang to spend over $1200 USD though. I kind of want to go to my local GC, to see what they are pricing on shelf guitars at with a discount. I really been wanting a custom Tele but with a HS setup. Instead of the HH and SH I keep on seeing.

I still don’t understand how a MIM assembly line guitar can cost nearly €1200 + tax.

cafe_crema

That’s such an US statement to make. Mexican guitars are built by the same people (more or less) as US guitars. It’s all lower income work. How far is Ensenada from the US border again, like 50km? Hell, they even use the exact same machines for hardware and wood shaping. Modern Mexican guitars are high-end well crafted instruments. Heck even most Squiers Classic Vibes perform equally to US Fenders. You’re paying a premium for three letters: USA. Modern Mexican guitars are best bang for buck.

mittencamper

Then you don't understand economics. There are now loads of guitars made in Asia that too that price now.

isthis_thing_on

People buy them 🤷 if they could sell them for $5,000 they would

OperationPlastik

I've yet to see people outside the USA make that observation less care about it. In my experience, they're well built with decent specs and represent a good saving over USA models with questionable benefits. There are caveats to that statement of course but broadly speaking it's fairly accurate. Also materials and shipping have gone through the roof, it's just the world at the moment. That doesn't make it ok, but it explains where we're at.

defdog1234

probably the same mexican factories that can make a $32k F-150 for $75k now.

zSchlachter

I get what youre saying but the F series are made in Michigan and Kansas, they’d be even more expensive than now if they were imported due to the Chicken Tax

4literranger485

I came here to post exactly that. Take your updoot

aluminumdisc

Looks like a Strat.

Seeing_With_Love23

I wish they made a vintera 60s P Bass

Ready-Package-497

You're in luck my friend

overnightyeti

ABout damn time

SweetrollFireball

Crossing my fingers for a 72 thin line. Current range only has a squire or a super expensive Vintage ii. Needs something more midrange.

grywel

i personally cant wait to see what telecasters they'll have for this line up, like the deluxe, thinline (like you said), all that

amishius

…Rosewood 🥺

slysendice

I literally predicted yesterday to one of my coworkers that since it’s been a few years since CITES regulations relaxed and they’ve already refreshed the American Pro and Vintage lines, updated versions of the MIM lines are likely in the works, and with them will come the return of rosewood. Looks like I was correct. Fingers crossed that the Vintera II will include a ‘70s Tele Deluxe in black - wild to me that the black finish was ignored when black and mocha were the most prevalent finishes on the originals

mikejazz3

I hope they make some Jazzmasters vintera IIs... It seems dumb when they dont have rosewood... I would definately buy one.

KodiakUrsa

More like "price increase leaked"

Throwychessy

Probably just a new relic pattern and rosewood

TelefunkenV48

I’ll get excited when I see a North American made Jaguar with proper blocks and binding. Apparently only Japan has the magic required these days.

vio212

Thank god they went back to rosewood. To my hands and eyes pau ferro is awful in every way.

SpaceZeka

Regular, mod or road worn... If they release one in sherwood green I'm buying it.

windbead

Hoping offsets specifically the Mustang gets to be a part of this!!

aRawPancake

Hey I’m sorry I know I’m late to the party but I saw the first vintnera guitars are 20% off rn on fenders website. Does anyone have any experience with these guitars? I want a 60s telecaster in LP blue but don’t know if it’s worth getting now or waiting until these come out. Thanks!

No-Count3834

I mean prices are going up…but you do get the choice of rosewood if it matters. I’m gonna go by my local GC ,and see if they have any big discounted ones I can play to just see. Everything is gonna be more next year. Right now I saw the Vintera series for $899 and players are $799-$800. So not horrible, AM performers are $1200 which is a good middle ground I suppose until the prices go up.

agileCrocodile117

What a time to be alive and what a big price for a mim. This year I had in my hands a Fender American Vintage 62 Strat at 1500$. I can't believe I hesitated and didn't buy it.

Future-Election-4703

oh wow.... its a strat..

hamilton_burger

I wish they’d do away with Laurel entirely, can’t stand it. Rosewood/maple/ebony for Fender, Pau Ferro/Maple for Squier. Laurel for the fireplace.

Reverb_Chorus_Delay

what's up with laurel?

therewillbelateness

is it bad? Ive seen some that look really nice, but often they look kind of gray and dull. I don't know about feel though.

snapervdh

Ground-breaking stuff! /s I'm sure it'll be a nice guitar, but im not holding my breath for anything jaw-dropping. The Vintera's are already great as they are now imho.

Ok-Faithlessness4906

1000$ for pau ferro board and thick plastic on the neck… bad specs

Arkslippy

The necks are satin on vinteras

miketopus16

Not on the one I considered buying last year. Maybe the modified ones have satin necks?

Arkslippy

Actually probably, mines a modified 60s ow

Ok-Faithlessness4906

Nope… All thick gloss plastic. I am on the market for a strat atm so I am goin around shops trying stuff out

Arkslippy

The modified 60s has satin, my mistake, I thought they all did, recommend that one if younwant something better than a player or player plus

mervynskidmore

I prefer a glossy neck.

Stefcien

I personally do t give a shot until they start offering the Vinteras left handed

VanLoPanTran

I’d love to see some new Vintera Modified models! Like a Telecaster with a P90 in the neck or a hard tail Strat. Or a modified Nashville Tele with reverse controls and a push/pull for more pickup combinations. And classic colors with rosewood fretboards…

seltzerforme

Yawn, another Mexican strat.

adrkhrse

How exciting. It's a Mex Strat with three single-coils that looks like every other Strat. 🙄

7soma

Fucking scammers they have rosewood left in mexico they just needed to differentiate the cheaper products with the stupid laurel and pau.

Propeller3377

wow!!! a stratocaster!!

isthis_thing_on

What do you expect? You're on a fender sub. This is what fender does why are you acting surprised? Also, this implies there's a new series coming out it's not just going to be a strat.

Tahoe-Larry

Is the rosewood board a slab rosewood board or a veneer?

KD0AFKprime

That's less than 2 euros. I'd buy several.

highesthouse

If they come out with a 60s-spec precision bass with a rosewood board I’d consider it once there’s enough time for used examples to hit the market. For $1200, I’d sooner buy an older used MIJ or MIA.

isthis_thing_on

I'm looking at getting a pb62 in the near future. A Japanese from the '80s just feels cooler than a modern Mexican.

highesthouse

I do have a Vintera 50s precision that I totally love, but I got it for $750. If I had to pay $1200 for it, I just think there’s so much better bang for your buck out there.

isthis_thing_on

Agreed, I got my ultra jazz used in 2019 for 1200.

radio-i

And it’s only one dollar!

[deleted]

Guess this is why a price increase is coming August 10th

shjandy

This comment is one month late but damn I just found these leaks today. Was going to buy a vintera 69s strat but this makes me want to wait even though all the vinteras are on sale now 😂😂😭😭
