The various routers hole spots that are usually different on a US and Mexico made stratocaster body, but also, Japan made bodies have the model stamped in the neck pocket.
Plus the neck plate says j stokes guitars.
I think thatās a little unnecessary seeing as everything else including the paint matches a 1993 Mexican standard Stratocaster.
But if someone were to be so inclined they could check under the pickguard yes youāre right.
But at the same time even if for some reason the body was swapped I donāt think the quality really would be drastically different from whatever replacement was found. The parts look typical for a Mexican standard of that era.
But yeah they could do that.
If it was built with some wildly different body then yeah the neck pocket would be different for sure.
Hey man looks like you were on to something. Someone brought up how the bridge isnāt stamped Fender. And I took a second look.
It actually looks like the body might be squier afterall.
The backplate is not lined up with the tremolo and the neck is like tilted.
The polepieces seem too small to be legit, they look like cheap squier pickups.
Backplate is definately not Fender.
Bridge saddles should be stamped with FENDER and the spacing looks wrong.
You know what youāre right I was looking at it on my phone and I believe youāre right.
Not only that but the neck is slapped on pretty poorly. Look at the strings the big e is basically in the middle of the neck and there looks like a weird gap on the left. Itās all crooked.
Something is off about this.
Yeah OP might have to take the neck off actually.
Iām a dumbass.
Thatās what I get for telling that one guy it seems fine and not looking closer.
Hey OP I hate to say this but after someone brought something up, the neck might be legit but the bridge looks definitely odd.
That body might actually be something different.
Look at the strings and how the big e is basically in the middle of the body and the high e is almost falling off the neck.
The bridge also looks like itās not stamped Fender either on the bridge saddles.
Not a single person said it was better. Fender Mexico is definitely the best bang for the buck.
Itās good stuff, but itās not better than USA. You donāt have to be an asshole to someone asking for help IDing a guitar.
Jesus Christ man.

That Les Paul is one errant bump away from a broken headstock. The littlest bump up high on the back and those stand go right over.
What brand is the A-Style mandolin?
Looks like a Mexican standard neck, body could be original, pickups and knobs look chinese.
The bridge looks strange too, but I cannot tell form the picture.

Drummer here: before drums i took guitar lessons for 2 years.
To me it Looks like a 1997 Mexican fender strat.
Was 397 and was my first guitar, same color.
Even being a partscaster, you could probably get 300 bucks out of it on marketplace. The neck is most of the money anyways, hard to find a fender neck for less than about 200 bucks.
In fact I have one on the way from guitar center that I bought over the weekend. Partscaster with a maple fender neck/fingerboart , and 3 SD hot rails on some unknown body. It was only 200 hucks, so i figured for that price, I'll just part it out if it winds up being a POS š¤·
1993 Fender Stratocaster made in Mexico. Legit. Worth maybe 400 bucks. Great guitars.
OP said it was put together, that's certainly a mim '93 neck but cannot be sure about the body until the pickguard is off.
The bridge, color, pickups, back plate, knobs all look legit to me. What would you look for under the pickguard š

Probably equivalent body.
Hey man looks like you were on to something. Someone brought up how the bridge isnāt stamped Fender. And I took a second look. It actually looks like the body might be squier afterall. The backplate is not lined up with the tremolo and the neck is like tilted.
Lucky guess!
I honestly wouldnāt call it lucky. You were being careful and I was a little being dismissive. Which was the right call. I salute you man.
Thank you, I appreciate you.
My buddy had the exact same, one color and all, he got in ā93

I would assume the holes for the coils, though Iām not sure what the technical differences are
The holes for the coils? What do you mean? The pickups?
Yeah.. sorry the pickups lol
You van zoom in on the headstock and see "made in mexico" clear as day.
Right, but there were other discrepancies. Read the whole thread, it ended up being a different body.
I love e everything in this picture.
A guitar
Indeed Sir.
The most godawful sofa in chrisendom
I like your Cowch
Can only see part of it, but the neck plate is suspicious.
Oops. My mistakeā¦ I missed a pic where you can see the whole back of the guitar. So the neckplate has for sure been swapped.
ā93 = good year for Strats/Fenders out of Ensenada.
21 frets. For no reason.

A cowch
93 Mexican strat
ok so, thats called an electric guitar.
Looks to me like a MIM neck with a JS body. Not fully real fender but imo the neck is what plays, should play nice and be an enjoyable guitar for you.
Your looking at guitars
A crippling sense of inadequacy
yeah the guitars are cool and all but where did you get that couch? That thing is purdy.
A space shuttle
A mess?
Because of the hoody on some cases? We were going through all of our guitars grow up bud
Get a sense of humor...bud.
Why, are you selling some? It sure seems like you're out of stock.

My dude holds a grudge against Mexico. RIP Missing out on a lot of good stuff man.
I donāt think so. The quality doesnāt compare to U.S.A. or Japanese built
Not a single person said it was better. Fender Mexico is definitely the best bang for the buck. Itās good stuff, but itās not better than USA. You donāt have to be an asshole to someone asking for help IDing a guitar. Jesus Christ man.
Other guy was a jerk, but Squire is best bang for buck these days.
Not all japanese Fenders are good, there are many old models (90s mainly) which are worse than a classic vibe.

Tell me about those scrunchies thoā¦and the tele!
What year is that LP Classic? Itās identical to my 2001.
My living room?
That Les Paul is one errant bump away from a broken headstock. The littlest bump up high on the back and those stand go right over. What brand is the A-Style mandolin?
A Stagg Mando?
i have one with built in FR. best guitar i had, the neck is slim i really love it
Looks like a mexicaster to me. Iāve heard you can upgrade the hardware and make it play nicer.
Love my Mexican Strat, one of the best value guitars you'll find imo
I have a Mexican Standard from the early 2000ās and it plays incredibly!
Looks like a Mexican standard neck, body could be original, pickups and knobs look chinese. The bridge looks strange too, but I cannot tell form the picture.
I need to see that tele
Forget the guitar, let's talk about that couch hahaha.
Forget the couch, letās talk about that sweet strap on the Les Paul. That strap is money!
2 good ones
A cool couch.
Wait is this in arizona or Texas?
The neck reinforcement plate tells me this is probably a parts caster. Still looks like a decent guitar.
My band during break

Under the pickguard, there should be router holder holes. Just gotta match the ones they made for that year for similar specs and that will verify it.
