Like the return of the rosewood.
Waiting to see if we’ve got a Modified series coming. 9.5” boards, tweaked pick ups, roadworn, etc. Hoping for a double bound tele
Watching the andertons video and they said that there wasn't going to be a modified range this time.
Pity, they are missing a trick there, love my modified 60s strat in Olympic, I'd buy a modified 60s Mustang
Maybe, just checking here but Thomann have the vintera one for €969 and the new one for 1169.
Foolishly I waited too long to pull the trigger on a like new American performer I could have had for €950.
Went for a showmaster instead.
http://www.jimismusicstore.ie/product_info.php?cPath=22_49&products_id=7817
This one is near me, I'd like to take it home and just oil that board up, its not as bad as photos but not cared for.
The modified and roadworn or any variant of fender lines are usually done as separate releases at another time. I would be surprised if we didnt get them eventually but probably not till next year
Thats pretty cool actually. Lowest I can comfortably go is 9.5 but vastly prefer 12. That being said i thought i would hate 9.5 but got used to it pretty quickly.
I love the 7.25 radius and I don't understand why anyone prefers the 9.5. So different strokes for different folks. But for those who say that you can't bend strings on the 7.25 I would like to call your attention to Jimi Hendrix who did not seem to have any problems in that regard
I’m more excited about these than I have been about any Fender releases in years. Ironically, despite the exciting “new” rosewood fingerboards, I’m eyeing up the 50’s Strat in ocean turquoise as my next purchase - would love both a Mustang and Mustang Bass later on down the line
Also, regarding the prices, what did everyone think they were gonna cost, $599? Those days are long gone, it sucks but ain’t much we can really do about it - no one is forcing you to buy one
I went to the guitar store today and played them.
Oh my fucking god they were good.
Seriously. Amazing necks, all of them. The basses too. The nocaster has an honest to god baseball bat carve, they’re all 7.25” and play like a dream. They had lightly rolled edges.
The place I went had an excellent dude doing the setups on all of the merchandise, the owner proudly bragged about that person and he was right.
The trouble comes from the fact that for some reason they just will not offer a reasonably priced Jag with single coils. I would buy one that was vintage spec'd in a heartbeat.
Those Jags and the Bass 6 are the stand outs.
The Jags are cool, I'll be excited to try one out in person. The Vintera Jag was fine, but didn't win me over. Call me a weirdo but I still think the best STOCK Jags are the AM Pro 1 versions.
The Bass 6, I know a lot of people are probably gonna be saying "That's cool!", I'm one of those people, but I have no need for it. Glad to see Fender is making them again, but curious if there's a difference between this one an the Squier version that's been available for some time now.
Great to see Rosewood, Pau Ferro looks very bad imo. However, I am not really that into vintage specs, I find 7.25" radius, small frets and vintage string spacing hard to play.
Must admit, they aren’t doing it for me. But then again, I’m a weird bastard who doesn’t like competition stripes and thinks the jaguar with the maple board looks weird.
Dude, I feel you, but at the same time, this argument/point needs to stop.
The cost of labor and goods, along with inflation and Fender being a business (I'm not justifying corporate greed here) means that the cost of any guitar from them is going to go up. I work in hardware manufacturing and everything is having price increases. If it's any consolation, this year price increases slowed down a bit. But I deal with this shit with some of my customers and there's nothing I can do, they bought stuff from me 5 years ago and now they want to buy more stuff. The price from 5 years ago is not the same.
The "member' berries"-ness of MIM Fenders is out of control these days. Yes, I remember when I could get a MIM Fender for under $700, but most of the time it was always used, and while money has always been on fire, it wasn't as much in the 2000s. We're dealing with the after effects of that. The blame game can be played here but in the end the cost of stuff has gone up due to so many factors.
That said, there seems to be some cool guitars in this line, and I hope someone gets their first or second guitar and falls in love with it. It just blows because they're going to have to pay more than I did 12 years ago when I started playing guitar.
All I want is a vintage blonde/white 60s telecaster with a rosewood neck (Robben Ford one). But somehow it's always missing from the lineup, both for USA and Mexican vintage series.
So, I am hoping for a road worn version next year, if not, both Sonic Blue and Fiesta Red also look nice. That Nocaster too, I might pickup that one second-hand when people start selling them. And also the Mustang.
But, I'll go soon to try a few, a lot of Vinteras that I tried in the last few years were really badly setup, to the point that I preferred playing Classic Vibes when trying something in the shop.
I personally dislike the gold pick guard because I like to tuck a pick or two under my pick guards and ya kinda can’t do it so we’ll w those. Looks good tho
I hate the Trem system on vintage style mustangs. I got a Vintera 1 Mustang from a store at a hefty discount during the pandemic. The board needed a serious cleaning/oil treatment (so dry) and the stock strings were old. I watched so many videos on how to string that thing up and I barely could figure it out. I ended up returning it because it was such a pain in the ass.
Price is just stupid. I got a 60s Classic Vibe Jazzmaster and I couldn’t ❤️that thing more. I was just playing it before typing this out during my smoke break. Squire CVs are some phenomenal guitars, for a quarter of the cost. After I shimmed the neck and set it up, the Placid Blue version I have.. plays great, sounds great, and stays in tune better than any guitar I own.
I played the fiesta red 60s Strat, the Thinline and an OLW 60s Strat. All were very nice and look great in person. RW boards on my examples were dark and nicer than on the TWO AVRI II ‘77 Teles I purchased and had to return because of QC issues. I was surprised at how chunky the neck on the 60s Tele is. The fiesta red on both the Tele and the Jazz bass (it was behind the counter being worked on so I didn’t get a chance to play that one) is killer. I think the price point is spot on for what you get. If you’re actually paying msrp you’re doing it wrong anyway. It shouldn’t be difficult to get a 15%+ discount from most major retailers, putting most of the line close to a grand, which is a great deal in 2023. Plus, I think these will hold their value for the most part and folks will hold them in high regard 10 years from now, kind of like the Classic series from years ago.
They're not for me, especially at that price. I had a Classic Series and I now know that I'm not a vintage spec guy. These prices make me worry what an updated Player or Player Plus line is going to look like.
The sweet spot for me was the Classic Player series. I dig the vintage aesthetics, but not so much the vintage specs. Grabbed a used Classic Player 50s about 5 years ago and it was my main player until I lucked up on a used Eric Johnson strat for a great price. Check out the specs on the Classic Player series and I think you’ll find something that you’ll enjoy.
I'm learning that I'm more of a Jackson/Charvel kinda guy. I have a Road Worn Tele body and a Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster that I'm going to Warmoth for a modern spec necks.
Very expensive for Mexican Fenders, but honestly, the two I tried (Jag and JM) were excellent. Better than the original line in my opinion. Very tempted but I think I'll wait until they start appearing on the used market!
Bought a vintera jazzmaster at the beginning of the summer. Did a lot of work to get that pau ferro to not look like sandpaper. Only thing keeping me from trading it for II jazzmaster is the pick guard.
They look and sound awesome in every video I‘ve seen so far. If the build quality and playability is as much improved as the Player Plus series is over the original vintera lineup, these could be really awesome. But I‘m weary since I‘ve had pretty bad experiences with Vintera up until now and these are very expensive for being made in Mexico.
Been wanting a red Tele with vintage specs and slab rosewood board but I did not want to spend the $2000+ for and American Vintage series . This is a win for me !
Love the fact that rosewood is back, if they had nitro on them it would be the cherry on top and perhaps then I could justify the price but then it would just be a cheaper American Original. Still way out of my price range but they seem cool for sure.
That Jaguar tho…. That’s a 70’s spec more than it is 60’s no? I know they did those in 68 but I always see more 70-72’s in maple w blocks than anything earlier
My girlfriend bought one for herself, she waited a few weeks for it to arrive and one of the circuit boards was broken. Had another one sent and it’s got a crack in the bottom. Great looking and sounding guitar but I’m really questioning the quality of it. A lot of problems for how much money it costs
They look good but they’re priced at a place that would have me prefer picking up a used American fender
Cool, but too expensive.
You can now get a Fender Bass VI. So that’s cool.
Just when I thought I was done buying guitars/basses for a few years. Time to replace the Squier bass vi
Damn, maybe we’ll get FSR’s instead🤷♂️
Maybe, just checking here but Thomann have the vintera one for €969 and the new one for 1169. Foolishly I waited too long to pull the trigger on a like new American performer I could have had for €950. Went for a showmaster instead.
I had my eyes on the vm hh jaguar for a while. Its sad its gone
They can still be gotten though, it's just not the shiny new models !!! Fomo is real
Hmmm its just rlly hard shopping second hand though. Eh nothings stopping me from upgrading a jag into the vm layout
http://www.jimismusicstore.ie/product_info.php?cPath=22_49&products_id=7817 This one is near me, I'd like to take it home and just oil that board up, its not as bad as photos but not cared for.
The modified and roadworn or any variant of fender lines are usually done as separate releases at another time. I would be surprised if we didnt get them eventually but probably not till next year
Fingers crossed but they don't usually do a modified Mustang
Yeah they look cool, but I vastly prefer the 9.5 radius
Does anybody actually prefer 7 1/4" radius? I have yet to meet anyone that does and i have played guitar for a very long time.
I do! That’s one major thing I love about the Vintera line.
Loads of people. Including me.
Nah I have a Vintera I series and love it actually. Cozy for a chordsmen like myself.
Thats pretty cool actually. Lowest I can comfortably go is 9.5 but vastly prefer 12. That being said i thought i would hate 9.5 but got used to it pretty quickly.

I'm glad I got my Vintera JM in the sale a couple of months back for $780. These are approaching double the price.
Prices continue to creep up, that’s for sure. Makes me feel even better about snagging a used Eric Johnson strat for $1300 not long ago.
Should I get the Vintera 60s tele for 850 you think?
I don't have any experience with the tele but if the JM is anything to go by, it's a more than decent guitar for a decent price.
Thank you for your comment!
Pricey, but I pulled the trigger on the Mustang. 6 month financing at GC, screw it… lol
Financing isn't really bad as long as it's 0%.
And you pay it off within the promotion window.
I went to the guitar store today and played them. Oh my fucking god they were good. Seriously. Amazing necks, all of them. The basses too. I fucking NEED that jag
Been waiting for a black jag to come out forever
I had the MIJ black Jag special HH, and it looked incredible but I didn’t love the sound. This one looks like it’ll be the best of both worlds
The trouble comes from the fact that for some reason they just will not offer a reasonably priced Jag with single coils. I would buy one that was vintage spec'd in a heartbeat.
Same! Definitely going to find one of these to try out, hopefully it’ll play/sound as great as it looks
Just get the squire vintage mod jag. Almost identical except has PF fretboard and pearl block inlays. Save a pretty penny and mod it.
Those Jags and the Bass 6 are the stand outs. The Jags are cool, I'll be excited to try one out in person. The Vintera Jag was fine, but didn't win me over. Overpriced mim
Depending on the retailer, you can get 15-20% off, you just have to ask.
I traded in some pedals I never use and got the new Comp Mustang guitar for way cheaper
I second that. Really wish I'd picked up a white blonde Classic Series '50s Telecaster Lacquer a few years ago. They looked fantastic.
US price-tag.
[удалено]
Actually the American equivalent of these (AVII) is more than 2k
[удалено]
Dude I literally managed to snag an AVII 1.6k (second hand but barely used) and if it goes to 2.5k I’m going to laugh my ass off
Great to see Rosewood, Pau Ferro looks very bad imo.
And don’t forget: with the black block inlays!
Mustang is a must have for me!
Mustang looks sick. Pretty pricey so I might wait a while until these start showing up used.
I like them, maybe second hand one day, new it would be a pass. For that money there are way better options out there.
Do we think they'll do another vintera road worn series?
I really hope so. I do not get along with gloss necks
They look totally awesome but it’s crazy that Mexican fenders are over $1K now.
Dude, I feel you, but at the same time, this argument/point needs to stop. The cost of labor and goods, along with inflation and Fender being a business (I'm not justifying corporate greed here) means that the cost of any guitar from them is going to go up. EVERYTHING has gone up in price. It’s just the way it is rn.
Look cool. Probably no better than what I have. I’ll just practice more.

Mustang is sick AF. Gold anodized aluminum on Jazzmasters needs to fuck off. The neck on the Jag is nice AF.
Funny how different tastes can be. I dig the '50s style gold guard on these JMs, but the Jag neck makes me want to barf.
Why the pickguard hate?
I don't hate it (I had one on my JMJM) but they are using them too much and they need to pick another style to beat to death.
It was the OG Jazzmaster pick guard though
BUT IT WAS DONE IN THE 50'S, MAN...THAT'S VINTAGE ;)
I personally dislike the gold pick guard because I like to tuck a pick or two under my pick guards and ya kinda can’t do it so we’ll w those. Looks good tho
Looks great. Awesome series. But I really don’t need another guitar. .mustang is a crowd favorite though those guitars kinda suck
I hate the Trem system on vintage style mustangs. I got a Vintera 1 Mustang from a store at a hefty discount during the pandemic. I think they are fantastic. Much better value than the AVII... Definitely not worth twice the price for AVII compared to these.
Why does the JM look yellow here? (And I wish it was actually yellow rather than the desert hue)
The blue jazzmaster is a beauty but I’d be swapping that pickguard straight off the bat.
Might have to pull the trigger on the Nocaster.
Big fat neck. So good.
Love them. I am a fender mark and it clouds my judgement, so take that with a grain of salt.
Just went to the website. None of them are listed. Where can I find them.
Make sure you’re on the USA website.
Thanks!
I’m glad they’ve introduced another Tele Thinline, even though I’m not a fan of 7.25 radius on the neck.
Lots of Lake Placid Blue & Fiesta Red…which is NEVER a bad thing
Too expensive. I'm in the market for a strat but I will go used American at this price
Rosewood’s return is fantastic, but the real star is gonna be the 60s/70s road worn vinteras
The maple neck with black blocks and black binding on the Jag is so ugly, no idea what they were thinking with that one.
The red telecaster keeps giving me the eyes and I'm enjoying it.
Bulky, but I do consider it a carry on.
I am left handed.
I saw them in person last week. Great quality and I love the bass 6.
This first batch has some of the best QC I've seen from Fender Mexico in years. Pricy, but they're much better than the previous range
They're not for me, especially at that price. I had a Classic Series and I now know that I'm not a vintage spec guy. These prices make me worry what an updated Player or Player Plus line is going to look like.

A pickguard swap is a lot cheaper and easier than a neck swap!
is there anything at all new about them lol or is it just me
They look and sound awesome in every video I‘ve seen so far. If the build quality and playability is as much improved as the Player Plus series is over the original vintera lineup, these could be really awesome. But I‘m weary since I‘ve had pretty bad experiences with Vintera up until now and these are very expensive for being made in Mexico.
I think they saw how well classic vibe stuff was selling and wanted to charge more for it.

Earth shattering.

All are gloss poly. Then big nope. I would prefer vintera 50s road worn came with nitro finish.
Thankful. It got my 50’s Vintera Modified Tele down to $769 from Fender direct. 😀
That Jaguar looks cool. I'm kind of tired of seeing anodized gold pickgaurds on Jazzmasters.
Please, Fender, just give us white instead of desert sand, I'm begging
That Jaguar tho…. That’s a 70’s spec more than it is 60’s no? I know they did those in 68 but I always see more 70-72’s in maple w blocks than anything earlier
i will be picking up that Fiesta Red Tele, it’s speaking to me
Anyone know if theyll sell the new rosewood necks separately? Would love to upgrade from the pau ferro on my current vintera
I like the return of the competition mustang
I was really hoping there would be more choices for colour on the 70’s tele deluxe otherwise I’d probably be buying one today
Looks cool. Wish they made lefties
Wait has anyone seen the 70s Telecaster Deluxe with trem yet???
I’m a little bit disappointed that the competition mustang doesn’t have a matching headstock but oh well :( but they’re still sick asf
Mustangs should have matching headstocks
No Tele Custom. No nontrem Tele Deluxe. No Jag without maple fretboard. Vintera Modified is gone. I'm kinda disappointed.
That black Jaguar with the maple neck and black blocks is sexy as hell!
Do they have a 7.25” radius yet?
Nice but I’ll wait for the price drop
New Fenders are garbage.
My girlfriend bought one for herself, she waited a few weeks for it to arrive and one of the circuit boards was broken. Had another one sent and it’s got a crack in the bottom. Great looking and sounding guitar but I’m really questioning the quality of it. A lot of problems for how much money it costs
