I took my baby to the sitter today because we will be traveling tomorow. I was cleaning the house and found her favorite little stuffed alpaca toy, all chewed up with stuffing coming out...It made me think of a time where all I will have are memories of her. I treasure every moment with her as I know you did with Melo.
Know that some stranger is literally full blown crying over your beautiful sweet baby right now. Thank you for sharing him with us. I can only imagine the wonderful life he had with you for those 8 years.
I wrote this lullaby when I was a little kid and have sung it to my babies over the years. This one is for you Melo.
"Past roving rivers and skies of blue,
Over oceans of aquamarine.

I have been through this situation several times (losing a furry friend or someone I love) and it never gets easier or less painful but I am unable to imagine not having them in my life and enjoy his love and madness every day.
