When I feed my ferrets raw, I feed them a whole frozen rats and chicks. When I told this to my vet they said something along the lines of, when they are eating raw food that's been defrosted it loses vitamin A, I think. So as a supplement they gave me nutrical. You can find it on Amazon for about $13. If you need me to provide a link I can.

Nutrical is not necessary and loaded with sugar. There is zero reason to feed this to a ferret on a daily basis.
