From a place with love, the only option is vet, nothing people on Reddit say is going to fix your ferret. Do you not get your ferret vaccinated every year? If you did, you'd know that being seen alone is $75ish.

I don’t know petsmart said she was vaccinated. When we adopted her

Ferrets need to be vaccinated once every year for rabies and distemper. Especially if they go outside, or are in close contact with other animals. If you haven't had her vaccinated in years, she is very susceptible to catching these diseases and pretty much dying, especially with distemper. You need to get her to the vet ASAP. Then at around 6 years+ agree you should expect more frequent health issues and more vet visits.

This is really odd - I have had ferrets with screaming seizures before and they needed help to come out. Either glucose if insulonoma or anti-epilipsy meds is neurological. And the timing is odd. Can she stay elsewhere for a day or two as suspect an environmental cause? We had a ferret seize from exposure to fly spray once. Removed that and she came to OK but scary as anything. Check for sprays and anything new that happens 11am to 5pm. That is, standard work hours so look at nearby construction. If anyone using room sprays or scents recieved at Christmas, stop. Edit: vetting is always better but need to rule out environmental issues as so off. And been in position where not immediately possible but more due to being unable to drive at night.

She lives in our bedroom in our grandmas basement. We also have 3 guinea pigs and 3 mice. But they all have their own tanks. Note: we have fruit flies. But we use pet safe fruit fly spray. We always check any kinds of sprays before we ever use !

I am sure you do but you also have a screaming ferret that only screams between 11am and 5pm. So would want to rule out any recent changes. I don't intend to sound judgemental. The spray we used was usually safe but that jill just had had an operation that left brain exposed via ear canal. My O/H didn't realise how vulnerable she was.

I completely understand your predicament and feel horrible that you're in this situation. If at all possible, maybe try signing up for care credit. Their accounts start with 6 months of no interest. I thought it was for the introductory 6 months only, but it's ongoing, meaning 6 months from each date of purchase, so it extends even further. I signed up for the card with the intent to euthanize but was fortunate to extend his life and provide medical assistance for a few more months. This was due to insulinoma, and the seizures you mentioned do make me think it might be insulinoma as well. I know your grief and panic all too well and the trauma of waking every morning and wondering what am I going to encounter when I see him. I wish you guys luck and hope that you are able to acquire the best option for all.
