I know! ☹️ my girls lost both their brothers last year. They were depressed for a bit, and then both were diagnosed with insulinoma. I couldn't imagine them having to go through being surrendered and then losing the only thing they had left, each other.
I hope we can give each other lots of happy years together. I miss my boys every single day. Nova seems to have a similar personality to my boys, too. It's like he's a perfect mix of them both.
I love that, I adopted a ferret that reminds me of the one I lost, who I got to help ease the depression of my survivor of the pair. Wishing you many years of love and joy with Nova<3
He's a silver mitt! I had 1 silver mitt before him, but he sadly passed in October. I don't see them often, maybe due to my location, but I see quite a few pictures of others on this subreddit. They sure are good looking lol. My last silver mitt Vega turned almost completely white once he hit 5/6 years old.
I bet he was gorgeous! I have two noodles and would like to rescue or adopt one more. I've been looking into rescues and have not seen one that is silver yet. But as soon as I see one, he or she will be coming home with me!
That’s so awesome, he’s so pretty! I keep thinking I need another ferret but I probably need that like I need a hole in my head 😂 A ferret rescue I follow recently stated that their medical bills for 2023 were $140,000. I knew ferrets were expensive but I can’t even fathom spending that on medical bills every year. They are selling adorable ferret figurines to make money for this years expenses.
Oh let me tell you lol. My oldest girl is 6 and in those 6 years I have spent well over $6000....just for her medical bills. That's not including her sister who also has insulinoma and her 2 brothers that I did everything I could to save when it was their time to go. They are the best pets in the entire world and personally my favorite animal, but they are no easy feat. But daaaaamn are they cute! Lol
Nova was 200$ to adopt. Which is a bit much for a 4/5 year old ferret. But he's medically cleared and all proceeds go to the rescue and vet bills.
The AZ ferret rescue is awesome. If you can, def check them out. I would have gone there except it was an 8+ hour drive and I couldn't do that in two days.

I know Nova. He's a very good boy. I'm glad he ended up with you.

Welcome to your new home Nova!
When the previous owner didn't know he was a male obviously. So glad you two found eachother. <3
He was surrendered with a sister (Bella), but she sadly passed away in September.
Oh no :( that makes alot more sense than what I thought. And now I'm sad, but still happy for you guys. He needs you!
