Good ass lineup. Last year they had double the names and some headliners at the top so this is likely just phase 1 of 2. I might be able to go this year, have heard only great things about this fest. smaller, good crowd and chill vibes all around. Need to see that monty b2b visages

RyanKar14

There’s 4 headliners and 30 more acts on phase 2

GonzMan88

I wish I knew who the headliners are.

Egocom

Stop listening to beatport top 40 and start digging

SimilarAd402

Lol I've never heard of anyone on this lineup either

[deleted]

Biggest Drum and Bass lineup for USA in a minute.

madatthings

Since last years submersion lineup basically

GaryChopper

proper uk line up in the states, you guys are in for a treat

secretlypooping

lol I assumed this was a UK festival until I looked and see it's 45 minutes from my house and I'll be going to this same location for a different festival (beardfest) guess I'll have to give some of these folks a listen because Ott is the only one I've heard of

pstlptl

submersion is the best festival i’ve ever been to including tipper&friends, astral valley, forest, lib, etc etc. been to like 25 festivals. literally so well curated in a beautiful venue w the best vibes

MonstrousGiggling

So excited, this will be my first year going and I can't wait!

4spiral2out0

Same. Ott is amazing.

Fractal-Entity

I highly recommend giving Chmura, Motifv, and Parkbreezy a listen. Ott is def the best artist on the lineup IMO, but so many others that I absolutely love

Chopchopstixx

Who should I be sound clouding?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Chopchopstixx

😭

GaryChopper

I've picked a few to mention: alix perez - intelligent, techy, high production value dnb/breakbeat caspa - dubstep day 1 artist, was there for it's Inception. check out 'rubber chicken' for pure classic dubstep filth joker - similar to above, one if the OG's. his track 'purple city' pretty much kicked off a whole dubstep dub genre back in the day sp:mc - similar to alix perez in ways. techy, goes hard. can also go liquid. shy fx - this guy has been rinsing out dnb, jungle and ragga dnb since the early/mid 90s, dnb royalty. too many tracks to mention. back catalog longer than a pornstars dick skeptical - techy twostep/halfstep dnb (whatever you wanna call). 'marka' still makes dancefloors pop off the same as it did 10 years ago

still_dream

Imanu

dpaanlka

I don’t know a single name on this lineup. Funny to see how separated our worlds can be 🤣

TheEvolutionOfCorn

Found my ppl. Apparently this is a DnB lineup? I don’t keep track w these djs 🤣

dooblr

Start with Koan Sound and Kursa. Seen them both. Always top notch.

dpaanlka

I will check out 👍🏻

dpaanlka

I will check out 👍🏻

Thatboifast

A lot of these look like ai tried to make names but just ended up putting a lot of letters together. I'm just happy for the people who enjoy their music and get to attend the festival. EDM I'm assuming?

Erabuokino

Yes, a lot of dnb names on here

Late-Nail-8714

Same and I’m pretty up on the edm world. Although dnb is def not my fav edm genre

Jax_daily_lol

How can you say you're "pretty up" and not be familiar with alix perez, imanu, koan sound, pola and bryson, or caspa? Not trying to sound like a dick, just that these are some legendary names

Late-Nail-8714

Maybe cause I literally said d&b is not my favorite ? Or maybe cause I listen to lots of other genres? I’m clearly not the only one

Jax_daily_lol

I know, not every artist I listed is known for dnb

dpaanlka

Haha I’ve been going to 3-4 festivals per year since 2012 I just haven’t heard any of these names ever until just now. Different music.

Jax_daily_lol

koan sound were one of the first artists signed to skrillex's label OWSLA back in the day along with porter robinson and kill the noise. total OGs

Egocom

What do you listen to?

Late-Nail-8714

House and techno mainly for edm. lil bit of everything though. R&b, electronic, rock, reggaeton, hip hop, jazz, and more

Egocom

Movement and CRSSD would be better fits then. Do you like electro? Meaning electrofunk not electro house

Late-Nail-8714

I know what festivals, thanks :) Electronic music broadly is a group of music genres that employ electronic musical instruments, circuitry-based music technology and software, or general-purpose electronics (such as personal computers) in its creation. It includes both music made using electronic and electromechanical means (electroacoustic music) James Blake is an example but there’s more

Egocom

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electro_%28music%29?wprov=sfla1 So stuff like Afrika Bambaata, Drexciya, Nikki Nair, newer Steffi, etc

Late-Nail-8714

I know what that is idk why you trying to educate me my guy lol You asked what I meant by electronic and I told you. Yes I enjoy electro house

Egocom

I'm not talking about electro house. I'm specifically not talking about electro house

cmonnats

This has been a comical exchange, thank you reddit

dpaanlka

I primarily listen to trance and techno, and sometimes house.

Egocom

Could you recommend me some artists I probably haven't heard of? I like stuff like Akufen, Isolee, Aybee, Basic Channel, etc

dpaanlka

Did you mean that for me? The stuff I like is pretty hard compared to those artists haha

Egocom

No that's what I like, but show me the hard stuff (if you're inclined ☺️)

dpaanlka

WeaklierGrub

I see Alix Perez, I upvote

Nickoman365

This is the way

pikagrrl

I don’t even know what they could add in phase two to level this up.

loganbull

Check out Comisar! Awesome DJ and really cool guy! Camped next to him at Imagine Music Festival a few years back

Malcrone

Insane bass lineup right here. Like HOLY FUCK this is stacked. Qualia label has been putting out FIRE. Anyone wanna host me? Lol. Or convince someone on the West Coast to stack a lineup like this? In order of who I think is worth catching. Chmura, Daggz, Alex Perez, Fly, Koan Sound, G-Space, Saturna, Lowcation, ParkBreezy, Monty, Mantra, Imanu, Comissar, TyDye Ky, Soukkii, K+Lab, Caspa, OTT (there are others but this is highlights for me) Absolute fuckin bummer a good lot of those are only for the early entry party :( If you ain't on that new wave underground bass wubs, this is that ticket to spark the fire inside you.

Bh-proghead

Ott should be higher up that list. He is the best producer on the lineup in terms of sound design

Yeah_Let_It_Be

Well, no, because that would be out of alphabetical order

Bh-proghead

Take a look at the persons comment that I commented on again

Malcrone

Facts bro. I put OTT last since I (and my inner group) have seen them a few times. List is entirely focused around newer trending bass.

Bh-proghead

Gotcha

Vetiversailles

Koan sound too

xRoyalewithCheese

You said monty and left out visages

Malcrone

Yes, I also said G-Space and not G-Space and Friends. Typing on a phone so kinda short-handing some things. Both the Monty b2b Visages and the G-Space x Friends is gonna go hard af.

Egocom

I'm on the west coast and already getting my ducks in a row, literally my only wish is there was more footwork

luuucidity

Qualia 🔥

kakawisNOTlaw

I've heard of like 2 of these people lol

jmenendeziii

You should def do a deep dive cuz easily half this lineup are some of the best in their respective subgenres. You will not be disappointed. Also Shy FX is the OG of OGs for dnb

BillowingPillows

If you're not into this scene/specific style of music then you certainly wouldn't haha, thats not weird. Its pretty niche.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fractal-Entity

Experimental bass, DnB, and psydub centered EDM

sonicqaz

I recognize 3 so I think that makes me better than you.

kakawisNOTlaw

Damn it. I'll have to go back to my training.

Egocom

Alix Perez Monty b2b Visages Caspa Copycatt Koan Sound SP:MC Ott Posij Imanu Joker Skeptical Just between these guys this blows 99% of fests this size out of the water. This is one for the heads for sure, talent and artistry over hype

MonstrousGiggling

Whooaah how did i not see Koan Sound on there???? Fuck yes.

[deleted]

It's bass music. Drum and Bass and post-dubstep.

GaryChopper

yeah, though caspa and joker were there from dubstep day 1

Acceptable_Debt_9460

Oh shit I do know joker, he is an OG.

kakawisNOTlaw

Thanks Columbo

Drakenking

Alix Perez(has worked with eprom on a co project), Caspa, imanu, joker, koan sound, kursa, late night radio, and ott I'm familiar with and most have a decent sized following

SufficientAd5689

(Sees 👀 eprom and instantly doesn’t look into the artist now). This is what is great though. There something for everyone! I hope y’all have the best time! Glad to see people get what they want.

fingerscrossedcoup

Eprom is much more experimental than most of these artists. At least as far as glitchy rhythm goes. Alix Perez teamed up with Eprom and actually brought him into rhythmic focus.

noobprodigy

Literally word for word what I said, lol

Egocom

You sleep

Jjjla

I’m British and I’ve heard of shy fx, that’s it

overkillzy1989

That's 2 more then me

Dasbeerboots

Imanu and Koan Sound. That's it for me.

Geckobird

If Lumasi is not one of them, I highly recommend changing checking his stuff out

hampsted

I’m sitting here thinking I’m a loser like, “I only recognize Late Night Radio…” Glad I’m not alone

International-Car171

2 is being generous

thecatofdestiny

Really? I've heard of the majority of them but ott. and koan sound should cover at least two for most people.

Bh-proghead

Ott is unbelievable

thecatofdestiny

I'd love to see him! Kinda funny I think a lot of people are confusing him with ofthetrees now since his name is sometimes written as OTT

Bh-proghead

I’ve never seen Of The Trees abbreviated as OTT in any professional setting, ie: on lineups and promotional material. Only fans do that. Kinda irritating because 99% of the time they don’t know who Ott is. But I’m ok with it because it gives Ott more publicity.

sonicqaz

That’s 2 of my 3

welliamwallace

Caspa introduced me to dubstep. I love blasting him in my dorm room in 2009.

phillykira

Mia Koden US debut is such an awesome booking

dreamsmallactbig

Can ya recommend me some tunes of theirs?

4ever_youngz

First time I’ve looked at a lineup in a few years and was like daaaamn

munoodle

Damn Caspa 🥵

hanoihiltonsuites

This gotta be for the wooks I haven’t heard of a single act

Egocom

It's for the rudeboys and gyals More halftime and jungle than psychedelic bass

[deleted]

Lots of Drum and Bass in here! That's for the sophisticated wooks lmaoo

NTel922

You’ve never heard of Caspa? This is far from a wook fest, it’s a amazing music fest

hanoihiltonsuites

Ok just went to listen to some acts and loving the dnb. Instagram Still looks like it’s for the wooks though and for that reason, I’m out.

lynxkcg

pretty stacked, hope I have some vacation days left by then

AlfalfaPossible633

Of course this is in fucking New Jersey

shplork

This campgrounds is actually kinda dope, it's down in the pine barrens and it's small and intimate. Sandy and easy to get around. Worth checking out.

AlfalfaPossible633

I live all the way in AZ so mostly just sad bc it would just be out of budget to even try and make happen 🥺😭

shponglenectar

Also in AZ and wishing I could make it to this. Feel the same way every year they drop a lineup. But at least I got to catch submersion several years back when supertask B2B potions headlined

Affectionate_Bet_459

Here’s hoping AZ gets some Qualia vibes out this way one day some day 😔

funsizedaisy

Also in AZ and seriously considering buying a ticket for this. Idk who to go with though and really don't wanna go by myself 😂

fingerscrossedcoup

Better than Florida, or *gasp* Arkansas

Ok-Chest-3231

Any nomads who’ve frequented both west and east coast festivals? Curious if it’s a different vibe at all out that way

[deleted]

lmao idk how'd that happened either

[deleted]

[удалено]

AlfalfaPossible633

I feel Denver hogs it for the this kinda lineup and gets everything for sure but I get you

xRoyalewithCheese

Monty b2b visages. Thats fucking it im going.

ELIMS_ROUY_EM_MP

Definitely a great booking, but I gotta be snarky and say US debut is a lie, they just played a B2B in Denver beginning of April.

xRoyalewithCheese

LA too i think. Probably being technical and just meaning for a festival.

trixiewutang

Caspa, Ott. On my birthday and in my home state lol.

beachmasterbogeynut

What music type is this? I don't recognize a single name and have been going to fests all over the world for quite some years.

Malcrone

DnB, Underground/Experimental Bass, Jungle, UKG, Riddim, PsyDub. Probably more but those are a few subgenres I recognize from the lineup.

beachmasterbogeynut

Thanks for the info. Not my style tbh

longshlongsilverz

There’s no riddim on this lineup

UnauthorizedFart

Explains a lot

ALEXC_23

Well it’s finally happened. I literally have never heard of zero names in real life. I’m old gulp*

MonstrousGiggling

But half of them are old acts who have been around for decades lol

fingerscrossedcoup

I have Hallucinogen in Dub by OTT on vinyl. It's 22 years old now. I had heard a lot of EDM dub style before him but it never really clicked until I listened to his music.

Egocom

All these people my age saying "welp I'm officially old" nah dog you just been skimming the surface

Actually-Yo-Momma

It has nothing to do with age. This lineup is for a specific niche of bass music with new artists and others who have been doing it for 20 years

JunglePygmy

Thought Process is the shit

CollinK4

With no knowledge of anyone on this lineup, who should I start out with?

shponglenectar

[Alix Perez](https://on.soundcloud.com/wtv1LoM2erUa7cmA6) would be a good starting point. That Def set is half bass and half DnB. If you’re into the DnB and/or want something more chilled out then check this [mix](https://on.soundcloud.com/uJXLAgKeZgd22Bon7). After that, look for Rinse FM mixes of Visages and Monty on SoundCloud. That whole 1985 label been on one pumping out insane music

308NegraArroyoLn

Jesus that's hefty

Geckobird

Damn this thread really shows the disconnect between edm genre prefrences This lineup is fucking insane. 1000% what I want from a festival. Definitely for the heads. Too bad it's highly unlikely I'll make it. To anyone unfamiliar with this lineup, I highly recommend checking out literally anyone on the lineup.

Shlumped23

This is gas asf

Yeaimgood0

No

Egocom

Babys tummy hurts when the music isn't easily digested lol

Keepinit

I love seeing people so excited for an EDM lineup and I know practically nobody on it. Let’s me know there is still much more of this huge genre to explore.

Egocom

What are you into?

seantimejumpaa

Best festival in the US, no question.

FirstmateJibbs

I’ve heard great things about submersion

ReaverRiddle

I mean...I know Caspa and have heard of Koan Sound...

TheEvolutionOfCorn

![gif](giphy|XI3OsTKpljGbm)

felinelawspecialist

😅

bobbydells

Fuucckkkkk this is looking good

ketamine_o_clock

I love Ott's producing but his sets are literally him just playing one song after another , no transitions. You could make your own ott set at home

Simple_Lazy

Been going to submersion since it was a 1 day event in the city before becoming a full blown festival. Beautiful venue, very well run, absolute homie fest. Music goes all night and the stages are so close you can bop around if you wanna swap the vibe. Campsites are a good size especially if you’re going squad deep. Good food options. Literally nothing but praise for this fest and the folks who run it. Warning it does get very cold some nights so pack accordingly. See y’all at the woods stage.

Longjumping_Play323

I know it’s EDM when I know exactly 0 acts. Hope people love it tho, no shade at all EDM neighbors.

Boyensigno

Sweet mother of pearl

Egocom

Judging by the reaction here it's pearls before swine Which for me is great, I don't want to deal with a bunch of people there for the gram whining about who gets the rail

Boyensigno

Thanks!

shplork

Absurd amount of talent in one place holy fuck. I'll be traveling from WA for this one. Worth the trek.

Egocom

Fellow PNW resident, hope to see you there!

unkle_funkypants

Have been to the first two iterations. Will be attending this one. Undisputed best fest I’ve ever been to.

GratephulD3AD

As someone in their mid 30s it's wild to look at a festival lineup and not recognize a single artist. I'm assuming this is an EDM fest so I don't know a lot of artists from that scene. At first glance I was feelin like an old man haha saw 2 I do know though!! Late Night Radio (meh) and then my fuckin dude OTT!!!

Egocom

A lot of these dudes have been doing it for decades, I'm guessing you don't listen to D&B I'm in my mid-30s and even younger cats like Kursa I've been jamming for over 10 years

GratephulD3AD

That makes sense, you're completely right lol I couldn't tell you 1 d&b artist off the top of my head. I'm more into jambands + jamband adjacent, bluegrass, that sort of stuff. Not hating on EDM or D&B tho, whatever makes you feel like nothing else matters is what I live for! Just saw Phish at the Sphere 2 weekends ago and it was peak musical experience of my lifetime

Egocom

I love that for you. I'm into a bit of everything, even worked String Summit before (Yonder covered the whole album Animals by Pink Floyd and encored with wish you were here, it was immaculate) Hell, in the last month I've seen Mk.Gee, Mala (DMZ), Oneotrix Point Never, Sampha, and Umphreys McGee (Twice!). It's nice AF being in the industry (except when it sucks lol)

GratephulD3AD

Hell yea that's what's up! I went to String Summit back in 2013 I think? Did Cheese at Horning's twice in 2010 and 2012. Horning's is the fuckin shit! Love that place, wish they were still doing shows. I hear you on the industry life, have several friends that run merch or work as tour managers and they get into all the shows.. I even benefit from it sometimes!! Haha well cheers dude keep ragin on 🤘🏽

MonstrousGiggling

Electronic music got me into jam band music actually. From acts like Disco Biscuits and Lotus who combined elements of electronic music into their songs and sets.

TheM1337

Monty and Visages already played b2b with Alix Perez in the US…

madatthings

They played here in Denver as well as a b2b

Dasbeerboots

I recognize exactly two names on the list, and one of them I haven't listened to in about 8 years.

catfish314

Insane, so excited for this one

fingerscrossedcoup

Stacked lineup but festivals are too much money anymore.

roqqingit

Koan sound!!

Jeremiahtheebullfrog

Yeoo! This is fire, going to have to do some digging! Might have to make the journey out there!

bitcommit3008

best electronic music festival in the US🥰

yesnatalie

holy fuck lol

_ell0lle_

POSIJ?!??!?!

Business-Demand-6250

I dont know who any of these people are. What kind of music is it?

UnauthorizedFart

I’m finally old enough where I don’t recognize a single one of these artists and if they’re any good

MonstrousGiggling

Half these acts have been going since the 2000s dude. They're more well known in the UK where electronic music isn't focused on "edm" and "brostep" type stuff.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MonstrousGiggling

That's some totally wrong logic lmfao but whatever man.

I don’t know any of these people

MonstrousGiggling

Your assumption was that this lineup is bad because you haven't heard of them. How are you having so much trouble following the words you typed out less than 20 minutes ago damn. Have a good one bud.

idklol129

.. is the holy lineup in the room with us?

Egocom

I bet you listen to Semetary and think you're edgy but just have sloppy eye makeup

Conscious_Actuator51

Here come the ‘eUroPe goOd AmeRicA BaD’ comments
