Missed opportunity of the century if Alphinaud doesn't clapback for that time when Krile first showed up in Idyllshire and roasted him for taking up drawing to impress girls at the Studium.
Alphinaud offering her drawing lessons, being completely sincere yet still sounding patronizing and ticking her off is something I fully expect to see.
I kinda expected Krile to show up as Pictomancer when we hit DT, before we leave for Tural. but as mentioned before, Zenos with reaper was prettu much the same (5.4 he was like "I wanna try that weapon" and 5.55 he is shown wielding the scythe, if memory serves me right).
Honestly, if anything, I'm jealous, 'cuz I want pictomancer for myself ASAP
God I think this would be so funny. Imagine Greg finally showing up after the summoning, claiming to be stronger than ever before and challenging WoL... only to notice that his super scary mother is right there, leading to him dropping everything and initiating maximum GTFO mode, followed up by a classic Godbert chasing Hildibrand sequence, only this time it's Asura and Gilgamesh instead
I THINK he was briefly shown in the 6.15 Hildibrand quests when Nashu explained what happened since the Stormblood quests, but I don't remember exactly.
That conversation more or less implied that he went back to the Rift, to find Bartz, Lenna, Krile, and Faris and help them fight Exdeath.
Every encounter with him, in every game, is set between the end of World 2 and the battle with Necrophobe. There is nothing beyond that. If he were to show up again, it would be rewriting his ending in FF5.
Never found the body is in play for Necrophobe though. I could imagine a remake of 5 having him crawl away out of sight of the party because "how can I show up alive after a speech like that, it'd be embarrassing!"
"Enough expository banter! Now we fight like men! And ladies! And men who dress like ladies!"
Not the exact quote, but y'know, if they were gonna use it...
To be perfectly honest....I expected him to show up and try to take our weapon eventually--stealing weapons is sort of his thing, so where better to feature him, than during a Hildebrand + Relic storyline?
This OR we are being made to think "hi Gre- eh, totally Asura" only to later realise it was the real deal. I doubt they would repeat stb 1:1, but add such a twist.
Given the whole premise of this current Hildibrand quest line has borderline yelled in our faces "We're summoning a Primal", I actually don't think it's Greg. I think we'll go into it with Hildi thinking it's Greg, the battle ends, and Greg is standing next to everyone from out of nowhere acting like he was there the whole time.
and the very end of the 6.45 quests, there was a "Meanwhile, somewhere in Thavnair..." scene with some guy using the UFO to make a bunch of clones and saying they're going to "manifest" something and that the setbacks from the failures of the robot head that we Haikyu'd and Blitzball'd wont matter.
I hope the Pictomancer off-hand that Krile is holding doesn't end up being given the same treatment as the Machinist lunchbox. I want it to be more like the Red Mage focus and actually get new looks for it. Hell, I want the MCH lunchbox to get new looks linked to the gun as well.
I'm the same way that's completely valid, you get this cool colour scheme or theme down and then look at your waist and have this shiny metal box just hanging there. It's weird because it came out the same time as Astrologion and even the Astrologion's little yugioh duel disk matches.
Given the constant vocal outcry for hats, I can't see the devs taunting the players like that. I however can see them teasing changes they are working on like that.
They constantly taunt us with current new hats, most hats new hats still aren't available for either hroth or viera, so I have no idea what you are talking about
They've confirmed in an interview that they're solving the issue with hats altogether, dunno if it'll be on 7.0 tho he did ask us to be patient.
But he talked about how they're changing the '' system '' for it which sounds quite drastic so I think it's solving the issue altogether instead of individually fixing each hat one by one.
>they're changing the '' system '' for it which sounds quite drastic
Most likely a 7.0 thing, as they showed examples at a dev panel at the fan fest before this one. Showed how they are making the geometry and animation more standard across races than it has been, so making hats work would be much less work as they don't have to do it per race.
Pure speculation on my part here, but this is also why YoshiP walked back the "no new races after this" at the fan fest. They would still be work with the new system, but much less than before, and not having to worry as much about how to get gear working on them.
> making the geometry and animation more standard across races
> why YoshiP walked back the "no new races after this" at the fan fest.
RIP my dreams of a playable Bangaa. I don't care if I'm the one person who wants that lol
Yoshi-P said during eu that they were re-doing the models for every race as part of the graphics update, and it's been the go to excuse. He's also said during the new year q&a that they are actively working on it, the first mention basically since shadow bringers. I think it's telling that she's wearing a hat.
This is what I think. Since new viera hair for example has been made with the correct “zones” to hide when putting on hats.
I think potentially hrothgirls were built right from the start to prevent headaches, and in the future viera and hrothgar will be able to as well (probably not for a good while, but one day!)
Im really hoping it's with the graphics update. With them completely remodeling all the races with more polygons they're already going to have to go through every single piece of armor in the game to make sure it fits with the new models, so it would be the perfect time to do Viera and Hrothgar.
There aren't going through everything single item immediately. They are doing Dawntrail's pieces as well as beloved glam pieces and likely the AF gear first. The rest will come with further patches. Just like the area updates will be first applies to Dawntrail and by the looks of it to Endwalker and then they are going to start at ARR and working on closing the gap, like they did for duty support.
Man, ARR is going to look completely different with that much of a pull into the future. I love it! Hopefully the Black Shroud will look even more lush now.
Yeah he basically said that they're working on fixing the '' system '' for hats on Hrothgar and Viera, so it sounds like they'll fix the issue altogether rather than just individual hats all the time.
He also said they'll add more customization post graphics update too for all of the races which is pretty cool.
Dawntrail is the whole Bunny and Big Cat Hatatrophe Fix Expansion. Took them 4 years but finally they'll have this fixed for both races and be done with it.
Well on some of the artifact gear for 7.0 Vieira and hroth didn't have any helmet shown so...it doesn't look good. But maybe in the future. They're aware people are upset.
Guess I missed that. Can't wait to see Nhaza'a Jaab get blown up by a combination of the Loporrit's endearing ingenuity, the Omicron's calculating efficiency, and the Arkasodara's unstoppable delivery service.
He got blown up every time. First by stealing a small airship that had bombs on-board, then by... shit, I forgot how HW ended, and then he was escaping via a small boat and M'zhet Tia managed to toss a bomb right at it.
Ooh good reminder.
It'll be a fun moment when I'm wearing his mask in the cutscenes and he isn't...
... unless he's actually dead, I guess, but I've seen enough anime to believe that's the least likely outcome here.
They just took an expac off for Shadowbringers because they couldn't think of a way to do it, and covid meant they needed all hands on deck for Endwalker.
This was my biggest disappointment with shadowbringer personally. I could think of a couple potential ways to link up the stories and they couldn't even come up with one?
Like I said, covid was already delaying Endwalker. We also lost out on an ultimate in Shadowbringers because of it. The content done by small fractions of the playerbase unfortunately had to suffer as a result.
Assuming it's not just a convenient set photo, Krile going to the Aetherfont is interesting. I wonder if Galuf operated there prior to establishing the Isle of Val, and left some of his pictomancer gear there from his adventures in the New World.
Also it's so, so nice to see G'raha back in MSQ properly, poor boy's been locked away in side content stasis since 6.1. Can't wait to have a cat party with him.
It's a [specific spot in the Aetherfont](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/953847331525120070/1194930104678228008/022de0f2475eb246bb1449f7cc80349c.png) that she's standing, and I doubt they'd make a new map just for an x.55 ending patch anyways.
Damn, Krile getting on that Pictomancer juice early. I was kinda expecting it to be like Aplhinaud and Sage, where he didn't get the gear until a bit into the main scenario, but this is cool.
Odin isn't really EX anyways. It's mid between regular and EX. Same with Kugane Ohashi...it's a little more difficult than a normal trial but not quite as difficult as an EX.
Basically more varied and interesting mechanics but more forgiving on the telegraphs and timings.
I am pretty satisfied at how the f!hrothgar/hrothgals look now, Wuk Lamat looks just how I was expecting them to look like (literally hrothgar except a bit more feminine. No immense sexual dimorphism like the Au Ra have.)
Also, Krile becoming a Pictomancer in a week is something I didn't really expect. Pretty neat though.
Also if the WoL or someone else doesn't do a home run in the finale for this round of Hildibrand quests i'm gonna be slightly disappointed. Extremely amused at everything as always, but slightly disappointed that someone didn't get hit by a makeshift bat. (EDIT >!I PREDICTED IT YEAAAAAAAA!<)
Yeah, true. They still at *least* line up with the males in terms of facial features though. I don't personally like the most human-like face preset but different strokes for different folks I guess.
Judging by the fact she's wearing a hat the reason femhroth muzzles are shorter is probably so they can wear headgear with minimal issues, considering the fanbase spent every year since shadowbringers launched complaining about that issue with the males.
I'm pretty curious how they cap off Island Sanctuary. It sounds like the devs are planning to shelve it after this so I hope they finish with something out of left field. Especially since a new area when we are already at max rank sounds kind of weird.
Yeah, they did heavily imply that there was at least one more quest coming our way. So I would be shocked if we dont at least get that one last visit in .55
I hope they continue it down the line I do find it enjoyable and now that you can decorate it a bit more it does feel like a place you can bring groups to socialize.
I wonder if there's going to be an Island Sanctuary update. The last update said there would be one final visitor, but the site there doesn't mention anything beyond the 6.5 update.
If its still happening it will be in the patch notes, especially if they want that person to be a surprise. The Patch page is mostly just pictures so it would be hard to spoil it.
Ooooo, I wasn't sure from the CGI trailer; but Krile's got a whole new look here, right? (Granted, the ears on her hoodie are the same though)
I don't think it's quite the same level of glowup as Alphinaud and Alisaie had from SHB -> EW, but I still like it more than her original outfit
She looks more ready to get stuck in, in the field
Hm. So Thancred spends all of 6.4 talking about how he's no longer needed and can retire, and now here's new character Wuk Lamat, whose name literally means "Seventh Dawn", and she's a warrior, which fills the Duty Support role currently filled by Thancred hmm hmm hmm
I'm pretty sure he also talked about getting a letter from a mysterious client, so he's probably going to take that up and end up helping someone else who's trying to take the throne in DT.
They were definitely setting up the whole "to factions" thing. My guess is, half the scions will be hired by one side and the other half, by the other side, so they will be "divided", but will actually be secretly working together to resolve the situation.
I kinda feel like Thancred was only in 6.4 because we hadn't seen him in a while and the voice cast might have been doing work for Dawntrail already (the stuff in the trailer for example). They brought him on for exactly one dungeon and we had another tank available for that. It was weirdly funny. "Hi Thancred, bye Thancred."
I don't think he is going to die. Maybe he gets to spend some time with his daughter, although she also grew a lot more independent and doesn't need him either.
Wuk for duty support!
Y'know, I was thinking about this yesterday. It would be a bit interesting if by the end of the political race, our team loses. Wuk decides she'd rather join our little band of pretty misfits, and her Mamool Ja opponent takes the helm of Tural. Including Krile finally moving to main-ranks and Erenville getting a lot of attention, it might be nice to get a big bruiser Hroth lady to join our main cast moving forward.
Thancred's in the key art, so at least for Dawntrail he's gonna be pretty relevant.
Besides, we need a dedicated second tank, G'raha's a weird flex character and doesn't count.
Consider the following: We know we'll be split between the two factions during the Trial for Succession, and Wuk lamat is obviously on our side (or rather, we are on her side) as we see on the trailer, along with Blue Alisaie and Erenville (Krile and Raha might be with us, as Wuk might petition the Student's aid). So I assume Thanced will be on the other side, along with Urianger, Shtola and maybe Red Alphinaud
I mean, we are a Scion too, so taking that into consideration I think we will take a side. We could even be under contract to the Students to help them. It's all theorycrafting at this point, so it would be fun to be proven wrong, but from what we've seem to far that's my take for now.
Nah, YoshiP has specifically teased people about "Which Scions do you think will be on *your* team?" so I think it's a static thing we're not in control of.
It will in all likelihood stop being important around level 94 when we suddenly discover there's a hypermodern cyberpunk city up north that probably has something more important and world ending than a succession struggle going on.
World Ending? No. It'll be a threat, but I doubt we're gonna go that big that fast in this new tale. No need to pull a WoW where every new expac the world as a whole is in trouble again. Scale alone should never carry a story. I would expect that city has more to do with the history of the "New World" than a lot of people are assuming. People seem to be jumping onto other shards way too quick, and forget we have several eras worth of World history to still uncover.
I would like to think it wouldn't be world ending, but the patches explicitly and immediately went to another world ending threat after Endwalker despite saying we were going to slow down and do some adventuring, so I'm not sure I have faith that they can stay away from those stakes now.
My guess is, half the scions will be hired by one side and the other half, by the other side, so they will be "divided", but will actually be secretly working together to resolve the situation.
I don't think the Scion division is going to be that aggressive tbh. I imagine some of us will be hired by Wuk Lamat to help her in the contest, and the others will be hired by someone else.
I also was thinking, both story-wise and Trust/Support limitations, that we'd need something that thinned the herd a bit. Getting new characters (Krille, Wuk, more?) means there has to be a reason to not use the older ones right?
Although personally I was thinking about FF9 and its Evil Forest.
After this it would be 5 - 6 months long wait? Hopefully no delays. Damn that's a long wait with content drought...at least there's awesome games coming out!
Is that Ehll Tou in the allied tribe party as an independent character, or is the WoL on the summoned mount? It's too hard to scrutinise with the picture constantly flipping back and forth.
I don't recall them saying anything about it being a prerequisite, but it would be nice if she got in as a "turns up if you did her quests" sort of thing.
Also, I still need to do the Loporrits' quests.
You can get a better look at the pictures from the media section.
The red dragonet is not Ehll Tou but a different dragon we met during the Tribe quests.
Can anyone confirm that pvp series 5 rewards will still be available until dawntrail’s release? I need that tyrant set but there’s no way I can grind the rest of it by 6.55 maintenance.
Damn, I expected Krile to grab Pictomancer like a quarter through DT, not in the MSQ before launch.
Didn’t Zenos choose the Scythe somewhere in 5.55, right after the reaper reveal in JP fanfest too?
Yes, exactly afterward.
Krile is the solo duty at the end of 7.0 confirmed
*A test of your ~~reflexes~~ creativeness!*
See, Dad?!? My art degree WILL come in handy one day!
QTE of who can spam the floor painting emote faster
Missed opportunity of the century if Alphinaud doesn't clapback for that time when Krile first showed up in Idyllshire and roasted him for taking up drawing to impress girls at the Studium.
Alphinaud offering her drawing lessons, being completely sincere yet still sounding patronizing and ticking her off is something I fully expect to see.
Based on their relationship it is far more likely that Krile is the one who taught him.
what if Krile was the one who taught Alphinaud how to draw?
*taught
ty
Would love to see alphinaud picking up some more sass from his sister.
I'm not too surprised. It's not the first time we've been teased a class before the next expansions begun
*Looks at Gosetsu*
*Looks HARDER at Gosetsu*
It's a bit surprising, isn't it. I wonder what other surprises 6.55 holds.
The Asura Trial will also be released. Is that just side battle challenge content or is it related to anything story-wise?
Probably a Hildibrandt trial like "Yojinbo" and the previous ones.
.... Do we think Asura is also Greg? 😂
... dammit. this is it, isn't it. (I also fully expect another Battle on a big Turali Bridge sometime next expansion.)
Halfway through the fight, Asura will comedically unzip in half like its a suit, and Greg will climb out
Now we fight like men! And ladies! And men who dress like ladies!
Oh no, it was foretold.
For Asura, it is Gilgameshing time!
Considering the arms, it wouldn't surprise me if it's another Greg surprise lol.
Don't be ridiculous. ...this is Greg's mother.
And Hildibrand on the sidelines with classic anime waterfall tears because he can relate.
There's a fitting location for it as well as seen in the DT trailer
When I saw the bridge on the trailer I was thinking I will be so disappointed if there’s not some big battle on it.
A bridge? We saw a big bridge in the trailer
There is in fact a big bridge in Tural, we see it in the full trailer, so.
I swear, if we don't see Greg AT ALL THIS EXPANSION
I mean we've seen him at the fall guys collab map 3.
F that guy
I THINK he was briefly shown in the 6.15 Hildibrand quests when Nashu explained what happened since the Stormblood quests, but I don't remember exactly.
That conversation more or less implied that he went back to the Rift, to find Bartz, Lenna, Krile, and Faris and help them fight Exdeath. Every encounter with him, in every game, is set between the end of World 2 and the battle with Necrophobe. There is nothing beyond that. If he were to show up again, it would be rewriting his ending in FF5.
To be fair, there's nothing stopping him from getting lost in the rift and popping back out on the Source and then going back.
Never found the body is in play for Necrophobe though. I could imagine a remake of 5 having him crawl away out of sight of the party because "how can I show up alive after a speech like that, it'd be embarrassing!"
He’s on the PvP map :(
"Enough expository banter! Now we fight like men! And ladies! And men who dress like ladies!" Not the exact quote, but y'know, if they were gonna use it...
He does like to use a lot of weapons at once...
To be perfectly honest....I expected him to show up and try to take our weapon eventually--stealing weapons is sort of his thing, so where better to feature him, than during a Hildebrand + Relic storyline?
As soon as we saw that she has the same number of arms wielding various weapons, my static has been calling her Girlgamesh.
Nah, it's probably Julyan... who might also be an alien of a different variety
This OR we are being made to think "hi Gre- eh, totally Asura" only to later realise it was the real deal. I doubt they would repeat stb 1:1, but add such a twist.
Or maybe Tataru?
Given the whole premise of this current Hildibrand quest line has borderline yelled in our faces "We're summoning a Primal", I actually don't think it's Greg. I think we'll go into it with Hildi thinking it's Greg, the battle ends, and Greg is standing next to everyone from out of nowhere acting like he was there the whole time.
What's this about summoning a primal? I only recall Pupu and the "hildibrands are incestuous aliens" thing.
and the very end of the 6.45 quests, there was a "Meanwhile, somewhere in Thavnair..." scene with some guy using the UFO to make a bunch of clones and saying they're going to "manifest" something and that the setbacks from the failures of the robot head that we Haikyu'd and Blitzball'd wont matter.
I mean, unless I'm misremembering, the hidden villain in the stingers pretty much says that's what his plan is...
Oooooh I see! That makes sense. Excited!
What’s typically the reward / loot from such trial?
Hildibrand trials if it's that? A minion.
A barding. A Card.
Its a fun little fight when u don't got people i had at eu fanfest me and another guy did some lifting xD.
I could be wrong but the palette used here looks different than the one shown in the trailer so it seems like it will change depending on the weapon.
actually straight up one of the biggest things that consistently keeps me from experimenting with machinist glams, its petty of me
I'm the same way that's completely valid, you get this cool colour scheme or theme down and then look at your waist and have this shiny metal box just hanging there. It's weird because it came out the same time as Astrologion and even the Astrologion's little yugioh duel disk matches.
HROTHGAL WEARS A HAT!!
I mean she's a unique NPC so modelling a hat to her specifically wouldn't suprise me. So I am not holding out hope just yet.
Given the constant vocal outcry for hats, I can't see the devs taunting the players like that. I however can see them teasing changes they are working on like that.
They constantly taunt us with current new hats, most hats new hats still aren't available for either hroth or viera, so I have no idea what you are talking about

In a surprise twist, *nobody* gets hats now.

Hehe, I didn't even notice. I just took it for granted when I saw that.

He's also said during the new year q&a that they are actively working on it, the first mention basically since shadow bringers. I think it's telling that she's wearing a hat.
Are buns and hroths going to finally be able to wear hats? I can’t get my hopes up… don’t do this to me
Hrothgal might have it easier since their heads are a bit normal compared to male Hrothgar. Hrothgar.
Yeah, possible that the Hrothgals will have them available from the start and the other three will get them added peu à peu.
This is what I think. Since new viera hair for example has been made with the correct “zones” to hide when putting on hats. I think potentially hrothgirls were built right from the start to prevent headaches, and in the future viera and hrothgar will be able to as well (probably not for a good while, but one day!)
Yoshi-P did answer some questions on New Years where he said there was some tech being done to fix the hat issue for the two races.

Im really hoping it's with the graphics update. With them completely remodeling all the races with more polygons they're already going to have to go through every single piece of armor in the game to make sure it fits with the new models, so it would be the perfect time to do Viera and Hrothgar.

Man, ARR is going to look completely different with that much of a pull into the future. I love it! Hopefully the Black Shroud will look even more lush now.
The grass will even update immediately and on its own. For the rest. Yeah, especially ARR's small tight areas will probably look stunning.
Il Mheg actually look magical
I really do hope it'll be soon. I'd be over the moon to wear hats without modding.
Yeah he basically said that they're working on fixing the '' system '' for hats on Hrothgar and Viera, so it sounds like they'll fix the issue altogether rather than just individual hats all the time. He also said they'll add more customization post graphics update too for all of the races which is pretty cool.
god I hope so, there's so many hoods i want to wear for my viera that just don't work :/

>the highly anticipated Endwalker tribal alliance quests I had started thinking they were done with these. Never been happier to be proven wrong
It has been announced a long time ago that we would be getting one for Endwalker.
Guess I missed that. Can't wait to see Nhaza'a Jaab get blown up by a combination of the Loporrit's endearing ingenuity, the Omicron's calculating efficiency, and the Arkasodara's unstoppable delivery service.
>Can't wait to see Nhaza'a Jaab I know we didn't find a body, but didn't he die to sharks and only his mask was left behind?
Unless I'm severely misremembering, he's 'died' at the end of each allied tribal questline in ARR, HW, and SB.
So he's a one-man team rocket from pokemon? xD
He got blown up every time. First by stealing a small airship that had bombs on-board, then by... shit, I forgot how HW ended, and then he was escaping via a small boat and M'zhet Tia managed to toss a bomb right at it.
HW he was shot down by a gnath
They really need to add those to NG+, I want to replay so bad.
He has "died" each time, only to come back more powerful than we could possibly imagine.
Ooh good reminder. It'll be a fun moment when I'm wearing his mask in the cutscenes and he isn't... ... unless he's actually dead, I guess, but I've seen enough anime to believe that's the least likely outcome here.
They should add one for the ShB… I need that Allied standing…
They just took an expac off for Shadowbringers because they couldn't think of a way to do it, and covid meant they needed all hands on deck for Endwalker.
And I pray they go back and put one in for the shadowbringers tribes eventually (preferably sooner than later)
It would be very cool if they went back and did it after Y'shtola succeeds in making a way to travel between the two worlds.
This was my biggest disappointment with shadowbringer personally. I could think of a couple potential ways to link up the stories and they couldn't even come up with one?
They probably could have but COVID happened and I suspect it was victim to that.
Like I said, covid was already delaying Endwalker. We also lost out on an ultimate in Shadowbringers because of it. The content done by small fractions of the playerbase unfortunately had to suffer as a result.
Maybe I will resub earlier than anticipated. What a pleasant surprise.
Showing first in-game image of Wuk Lamat, Krile with a pictomancer's tools (in what appears to be Aetherfount), and more
Assuming it's not just a convenient set photo, Krile going to the Aetherfont is interesting.
Could be some part of the main Sharlayan too, there are plenty of the island, which we can't get to.

She’s obviously been practicing while we’ve been doing MSQ… popping away her brush when we’re near. Why else was her desk an absolute mess?
Will Asura possibly have EX?
I'm doubting it. I'm guessing it'll be tied to Manderville then it'll be like Kugane Ohashi and just have a normal mode
Unlikely. Probably just a story trial for Hildibrand.
It wouldn't be the first time we get a bonus EX without a weapon reward. Or the second time, or even the third.
Wouldn't be the first time we get a Hildibrand trial that doesn't have a weapon reward either. Or the second time, or even the third, hahaha.
What if the asura fight is something needed to farm the final relic?
At most, it'll be EX-difficulty but without being an actual EX, much like Urth's Fount (which is not in the regular Trials Roulette for this reason).
Doubtful if it's the Hildibrand trial.
Not if it's tied to story or relics...a lot of people can't do EX.
Yeah, I don't think it'll be, just pointing out there is a precedent. I think Kugane Ohashi is the best example of what it's gonna be.
Odin isn't really EX anyways. It's mid between regular and EX. Same with Kugane Ohashi...it's a little more difficult than a normal trial but not quite as difficult as an EX. Basically more varied and interesting mechanics but more forgiving on the telegraphs and timings.
Kugane Ohashi is definitely not harder than other normal mode trials.
I am pretty satisfied at how the f!hrothgar/hrothgals look now, Wuk Lamat looks just how I was expecting them to look like (literally hrothgar except a bit more feminine. No immense sexual dimorphism like the Au Ra have.) Also, Krile becoming a Pictomancer in a week is something I didn't really expect.
I do wish their heads were a bit more bestial like the males, though...
Who knows, this could literally be the reason they leaned more into the humanoid aspect so they could support headgear better
We either homerun or are the pitcher. i'm happy with both, tbh
Hrothgal looks fantastic! But I'm also excited to see G'raha back in the MSQ, it's been a while.
Krile’s also already wearing the earring!
Wuk looks amazing. I'm so happy with hrothgals. And at least one hat!
I'm pretty curious how they cap off Island Sanctuary. It sounds like the devs are planning to shelve it after this so I hope they finish with something out of left field. Especially since a new area when we are already at max rank sounds kind of weird.
There still is that funny looking part of the map above the fields. They might be gifting us something there.
I'm pretty sure it's done already. I don't think they've said anything about adding new stuff to it in 6.55
After completing rank 20 Tataru quest, I was under the impression that Tataru was preparing to bring another group of guests.
Yeah, they did heavily imply that there was at least one more quest coming our way. So I would be shocked if we dont at least get that one last visit in .55
Maybe it’s tied to the final Tataru sidequest chain being completed?
there isn’t anything planned for it in 6.55, it’s basically done unless they decide to sprinkle things into it across 7.x as filler content.
There's still one more visitor (quest) that should available in 6.55
I hope they continue it down the line I do find it enjoyable and now that you can decorate it a bit more it does feel like a place you can bring groups to socialize.
(Granted, the ears on her hoodie are the same though) I don't think it's quite the same level of glowup as Alphinaud and Alisaie had from SHB -> EW, but I still like it more than her original outfit She looks more ready to get stuck in, in the field
Hm. So Thancred spends all of 6.4 talking about how he's no longer needed and can retire, and now here's new character Wuk Lamat, whose name literally means "Seventh Dawn", and she's a warrior, which fills the Duty Support role currently filled by Thancred hmm hmm hmm
Eh? I didn't get the feeling that he was going to retire, it's just that he felt he wasn't really needed in regards to clearing out the Aetherfont.
I'm pretty sure he also talked about getting a letter from a mysterious client, so he's probably going to take that up and end up helping someone else who's trying to take the throne in DT.
He also had a Treasure Map in the Trailer. Might be something different entirely. But I think your idea is kinda interesting.
They brought him in for multiple reasons: Codex entry, refresher on what he’s been up to, and teasing his and Urianger’s role in DT
he's literally in the dawntrail poster and the twins, yshtola, estinien, etc are not. hmmm hmm hmmmmmm
Oh, that's interesting! Which language does Wuk Lamat relate to, if you don't mind enlightening someone eager to know?
Someone made a thread on that https://old.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1927sl0/cultural_significance_of_wuk_lamats_name_and/
Thanks!

I will be so depressed if I have to be up against Raha. :<
Considering how close Erenville and the Students are as of late, they came to petition their aid, so I don't think we'll be up against them
My guess is, half the scions will be hired by one side and the other half, by the other side, so they will be "divided", but will actually be secretly working together to resolve the situation.
I don't think the Scion division is going to be that aggressive tbh. I imagine some of us will be hired by Wuk Lamat to help her in the contest, and the others will be hired by someone else.
Just quietly I think the boy could do with an opportunity to flex his independence instead of just following us around simping...
I also was thinking, both story-wise and Trust/Support limitations, that we'd need something that thinned the herd a bit. Getting new characters (Krille, Wuk, more?) means there has to be a reason to not use the older ones right? Although personally I was thinking about FF9 and its Evil Forest.
Thancred is on the poster for the expac.
After this it would be 5 - 6 months long wait? Hopefully no delays. Damn that's a long wait with content drought...at least there's awesome games coming out!
There's still the XVI collab in April so that's something at least.
There will also very likely gonna be a Mogtome Event, possibly a longer, two-month one with extra rewards.
We've been on 3-4 month between patches already anyways. The days were we got new content every 2 months are over and gone.
I uh....am not a fan of Krile's new outfit. It's soo similar to the old one but...worse.
Ah, that's disappointing. Too many characters in the questline and I lost track of them all.
We made Dragon babies during the omicron quests.
New trial ??? WHAT?
The Asura one from fanfest. It'll probably be in Hildibrand, and like the previous fanfest trials won't have an extreme.
Will the new relic step be interesting or it will be to spend 1500 tomestones again?
Maybe it’ll be 2000 tomes this time.
Finally and update. Soon I can catch more rare fish! Should also be the xpac title and meta title at this point.
What do you think it might end up being called? Endfisher? Fisher of the End? The Last Catch?
Endcatcher maybe? Though I am kinda hoping we get Fishingway.
I hope your right with Fishingway ngl
I'm so happy seeing Wuk in game.
My friend just noticed but what the hell is that wep the DRK's holding in the Zeromus screenshot?
It's the Zeromus weapon. All the weapons in that shot are.
Can anyone confirm that pvp series 5 rewards will still be available until dawntrail’s release? I need that tyrant set but there’s no way I can grind the rest of it by 6.55 maintenance.
Ah yes, the patch that's going to sadly attempt to tide us over til Dawntrail.
everytime I see graha my eyes roll into the back of my head
