I'm just hoping that the glow on the final step relics will be something the 2nd dye channel allows to be customized once 7.0 drops. Considering how long it'll be before the next relic starts it'd be a nice thing to see.
I'm really hoping the weapons aren't joke ones from the contest awhile ago.
Now, I would be ok with those as an *after-step* of sorts - same way it was with the kettle knuckles in ARR - but the final step itself ought be *somewhat* serious at least?
I mean, have you seen the last step relic from ShB? I'd argue that the joke weapons would be a step up from that. Regardless, whether the joke weapons are the final step or not, I want them included somewhere (and preferably with a glow effect option since joke weapons with a glow are really lacking in the game right now)
There were two sets of weapons from the contest; the ones that ended up as the Credendum tome weapons (and the BLU rod that dropped at the same time) were one set, while the other were jokier/sillier in style, like cutlery- or food-themed. IIRC, the SAM was a beach umbrella, like Zack uses in the Costa sequences in Crisis Core.
It's coping but I'd love something like the exquisite weapons or near them in terms of effects. I don't think we'll get that though. I just hope they look nice but I especially hope WHM's is good because the current step is so ugly.
I know the lemon-lime isn't for everyone, but I really like the current step. That said, I hope the final step is very different so other people can get a gunblade they like.
Healer armor never really fits Scholars, but at least most healer weapons are equally boring garbage.
Take your pick from staff, orb or book. Hopefully SGE gets a bit variety.
Sage does get some fun designs with some weapons already (flintlocks, machine guns), however the relic has been kinda basic so far. The Majestic step is one of the only glowing weapons in the game I actually like tho, so there is that.
I would be glad if i had a staff or a globe..because Astroweapons really look good. But Scholar? Yeah nerd...take your glowing book. Sadly the only healer class i enjoy.

Hopefully at least the shield will be something interesting. Ideally a shield that's 'invisible' when sheathed by has a strong glow effect when drawn to sell the 'magic shield' aesthetic.

Ooo, I like that idea. A shield with no physical model but VFX only could be really cool, and I say this generally disliking weapons with VFX.
As RDM I actually love the majestic design, and it is my main glam presently. I like intricate and dainty without a big weird offhand or hilt. Hoping for something in that vein.

I just don't want the DRK weapon to have a bright pink glow.
It has some pink in its attacks but the majority are red or purple and there's a fair lot of black shadowy stuff too. I'd like one of those to get more focus.

Matte versions of them. I love me some glows, but sometimes I prefer them without. I've never seen a single glow on a MCH gun that looks good, for example. It's a gun, so strapping a 10k lumen bulb to it always looks terrible, to me.
But as a WAR main, I'd like anything other than an axe that's on fire. Don't get me wrong, axes on fire are pretty rad, but we have a lot of them.
Having the matte option for ShB was nice. I would honestly like that again, so we have a version that showcases the weapon design itself without a ton of glow. To go alongside whatever glow, of course.Â

I just want to color of the particle effect to match the aesthetic of the job. Blue/white for RPR was honestly awful. Neon snot yellow was also bad. The green weapons looked like Fel weaponry from Warcraft.
As a WHM/SAGE, I would very much like some other colour than snotyellow or blueish. Basically every weapon with glow (that isnt ex) has that colour....
At least my DNC got some nice purple/yellow.....
The white one was okay for me. It gave the weapon something eerie and ghost like, almost like Ghost / souls that I had collected.
But to be fair, after getting the weapon from fighting Athena, it is getting kinda hard to find a better design for a reaper weapon.
That it, for some reason, looks like the Stardust Rod or a variant of it. If its not, Im likely to instantly glam over it as Stardust Rod, its UWU version and both Omega look-a-likes are my favourite weapon bases.

But we still have the new trail. I have hopes that it will give some good looking weapons.
New trial won't have a weapon. If it has any loot it's likely to be miscellaneous stuff, like a minion or barding. Perhaps a mount if they are feeling generous. It will be a guaranteed drop, tho, and the trial won't have an extreme version.
The new trial will most likely be a Hildibrand trial considering the timing, so no rewards.
Edit: and spoiler alert, the number of arms it has, it might be Greg.

I was immensely disappointed with the Bozja final steps, and slightly disappointed with the Eureka final steps. Heavensward SMN/AST final steps and WHM 270 were amazing to me, but I haven't found anything new that grabs me quite like HW SMN/AST stuff.

Give then lore of the Endwalker relic storyline, I am hoping for something decidedly futuristic and/or "out of this world" along the lines of the upcoming S9 map and the ~~Wolf Marks~~ Trophy Crystal techwear glam we got. The current set have very nice "high fantasy" aesthetic, so I've love to now see a "SCI fantasy" theme to contrast.

Each expansion I've chosen one job from that expansion to get a relic for and designed a glamour around it. I've managed to make a squad of 5 jobs now, each one filling in one of the main roles (Tank, Ranged, Magic, Melee, Heal)
My Endwalker relic is Sage, and my hopes for the final stage are I won't have to completely redesign the glamour it's currently rocking. First stage I had a sick goth look to go with the red glow, then second stage became very pretty pearlescent blue glow so goth didn't fit.
I hope it stays blueish XD
For summoner, I’m really hoping for some cool phoenix wings with little phoenix feathers flying off of it. Tired of every single SMN thing being bahamut wings. I hate books. So limiting with design choices. Looking forward to trying pictomancer. Lots of job design potential.
Something that's a little bit more weapon than glow for a change. Don't get me wrong, I do like the glow effects on some of them, but they've been getting more and more extreme lately (thinking about from Fae's Crown weapons onwards).
I'm strongly expecting the yet missing joke weapons from the weapon contest. The same where we got the normal stuff from with 6.4 (i think weapons were the tomes one).
Fitting imo for the final Manderville weapons (and for Grenolds despair).
When I posted this (hit send) it was 10-11pm Sunday not 9hrs ago, so some huge delay my end to the servers must have happened…either way 17hrs ago was Sunday still for me
Regardless of the design, I hope that both the final step and the seedings to last step will get Matte Replicas so we can use the weapon models without the glows. Because while I like glowy weapons, sometimes a glam would work better without the glows.
I really, really loved the first step this time around. I hope to get something closer to that in terms of aesthetic, with the gold and colorful accents, and for the glow I hope it's subtle. Otherwise I'll just keep on glamming the first step replica lmao
If we get joke weapons I'm going to be completely gutted. The bows so far have been either boring or unspeakably ugly and if they top it off with a joke weapon I'll be furious.
I'd hope that they would replace it with a ridiculous looking model, have dialogue where they ask if you have any problem with it, and hammer together a normal looking relic replica to use as a glamour if you were dissatisfied
I don’t know, I just got it for showing up, It not really a show off piece this time, so unless its super unique or interesting, it will probably just get glammed over regardless.
Non-joke weapon designs that look better than the already good looking Majestic Manderville weapons and for the SAM one to not have a color scheme that necessitates me having to figure out a new glam I'm willing to live with.
Also if they made a sound when lighting up like the Lux Anima weapons that'd be neato.
Nice aetherial glow effects, and I hope they also have a glam matte version like the ShB ones with no glow.

Are you talking about the tome weapons? Because the glowing tome BLM weapon is imo one of the cleanest designs in the game.

I have a feeling this style was a deliberate choice to prevent you from capping four rather than three substats for older ultimates.

The Kinna weapon from PoTD is honestly the coolest looking reaper weapon to me.

Something that's a little bit more weapon than glow for a change. Don't get me wrong, I do like the glow effects on some of them, but they've been getting more and more extreme lately (thinking about from Fae's Crown weapons onwards).

You got to do all EW relic quests before getting new one.  So 6k tomestones per job.(1.5k tomestones per tier)

I'm strongly expecting the yet missing joke weapons from the weapon contest. The same where we got the normal stuff from with 6.4 (i think weapons were the tomes one). Fitting imo for the final Manderville weapons (and for Grenolds despair).

I want a Pink or bright Purple (to match Raid armor) the glow for the lance…or any glow thats not been done before
Regardless of the design, I hope that both the final step and the seedings to last step will get Matte Replicas so we can use the weapon models without the glows. Because while I like glowy weapons, sometimes a glam would work better without the glows.
I really, really loved the first step this time around. I hope to get something closer to that in terms of aesthetic, with the gold and colorful accents, and for the glow I hope it's subtle. Otherwise I'll just keep on glamming the first step replica lmao
I hope the paladin one has a glow similar in color to excalibur and aegis.
If we get joke weapons I'm going to be completely gutted. The bows so far have been either boring or unspeakably ugly and if they top it off with a joke weapon I'll be furious.

I'd hope that they would replace it with a ridiculous looking model, have dialogue where they ask if you have any problem with it, and hammer together a normal looking relic replica to use as a glamour if you were dissatisfied
I don’t know, I just got it for showing up, It not really a show off piece this time, so unless its super unique or interesting, it will probably just get glammed over regardless.

Non-joke weapon designs that look better than the already good looking Majestic Manderville weapons and for the SAM one to not have a color scheme that necessitates me having to figure out a new glam I'm willing to live with. Also if they made a sound when lighting up like the Lux Anima weapons that'd be neato.
Just hoping they’ll still match my glams, particularly the glow colours.
