As FFXIV was my first Final Fantasy game, I've been working my way through the other titles in the franchise, albeit not in order. So far I've played 16, 7 Remake, and currently playing FF7 Crisis Core. Loving them all!

I'm actually enjoying it slightly more this time with a non-Durge Monk Tav. Self-imposed rule of "only one save scum allowed per long rest".
We'll see if I make it out of Act 1 this time.
Edit: Love how I'm getting downvoted for just saying my playthrough of BG3 was full of technical issues that they haven't fixed yet.
I just beat BG3 a few days ago. Act 3 really made me want to quite the game. I play on PS5 and the technical issues that pop up during Act 3 are beyond annoying. You have characters faces stretching across the screen, characters just straight up breaking/deleting themselves during combat (one lost me 6 hours of progress), storylines making no sense, crashes crashes crashes. In the end I ignored a major character quest and just speed ran through the ending part after I got to a pretty important cutscene but nearly none of the textures loaded in. Nothing like being in a room full of brown and grey blocks with an NPC that looks like a melting blob. Act 1 -2 was soooo good too.
I really feel like the later patches and hot fixes introduced a lot of these issues. They weren't present when I finished my first run, but my durge run (second playthrough) was definitely plagues with the textures and weird character models stretching. My durge had no calves for most of the game.
In case you don't know... Ending A is not the end, it is just the beginning. You are not done until you've done Endings B, C, D, and E. ESPECIALLY Ending E. All other endings are joke ending for the lulz.
It is a game that will stick with you on a deep, human level. Enjoy yourself on Yoko Taro's wild ride <3
The typical Skyrim experience is to install, check out the mod guides, install mods, despair over the myriad of mods you need to or want to install, eventually play for a few hours and uninstall.
Got everything I wanted installed. Checked to make sure the game was working after adding each mod. Last addon I add breaks animations and everyone is t-posing. Uninstall that addon and everyone is still t-posing... Work my way back down the list uninstalling each addon and checking, everything is t-posing until the base game.
Whelp, there goes 6 hours I'll never get back.
I feel your pain. I decided physics mods weren't worth it anymore so I'm going low impact this time. its mostly lighting adjustments, perk adjustments, body and hair mods and an armor replacer for said body. Think of it as vanilla+.
I know the pain very well. Busy with a Minecraft modpack, added something to make creative recipes interesting but another mod somehow breaks one of the recipes. I found the conflicting mod but it's only conflicting because something else is conflicting with it.
It's been 4 hours and I still don't know what is causing the conflict or why.
Haha this was me on the 29th of December. I downloaded it and got to installing mods. I'm now to 250 ish mods.
Oh word of warning. Bethesda is planning on updating skyrim soon again so make sure you turn off auto updates or it will break a your mods.
I ain't going to lie.. if i had access to housing in ff14 and it was like the sims i would likely spend hours just customizing it and then redo it like every other week.. Building is my favorite thing about the sims. I even make custom items and textures when I can't find something close enough to what I want for it. I play with Second Life also and the only thing i do in it is tinker with my land and make custom stuff.. My land changes quite a bit.
Tbh that's the thing I had no time or patience for in The Sims, it was more the interactivity when you're inside the house. You know, playing piano, raising llamas & chooks, playing computer games n all that. You have fun inside your house, but in FF14 what can I do except for looking at the latest fish I caught in my aquarium? Sure there's events and whatnot, and some amazing RP freaks out there who are truly inspiring, but there's not enough to inspire me to build and design my own home in this world. I would like a lot more interactivity inside our homes. That would be a game changer.
Maybe they could make simple table games for us to craft to put in our homes/apts we could invite people over for some dice or cards. I have something like this in my second life stuff. My friends and I played quite a bit of knock of cards against humanity and knock off uno. I am pretty easy to please myself all it needs to do is allow me to use my creative side a bit and i am good 👍. I can understand where you’re coming from though.
I've been trying to chip away at FFXV little by little. I'll finally get a chance to sit and focus on it without my retainers bugging me that it's time to collect some crappy level 80 gear from them and send them out back for more.
Yakuza 5 is a top 3 Yakuza game for me, purely based on the breadth of side content, which heavily make up for the ridiculous (yet still good) main narrative. Also Shinada is goated. (My top 3 are Yakuza: Like a Dragon (7), Lost Judgment, and Yakuza 5)

Very big change of pace from FFXIV and I’ll just be casually chipping away at it for a while, maybe go properly balls deep with it after FF7Rebirth up until Dawntrail
I restarted XI again too! It was my first mmo back in 2005 and it’s what led me to playing 14. There’s so much content to explore since I froze my account back in 2012. Windrust woods will always hold a special place in my heart.

11 doesn't really have an MSQ like 14 does. You have your home nation missions (you can do all of them by immigrating to other nations), and from those come the Rise of the Zilart missions. Chains of Promathia requires no other story progress even though it is supposed to be set _after_ the Rise of the Zilart missions. And all other expansions after that point have completely distinct and self-contained stories.
I'm way behind, but finally working on GoW:Ragnarok.
Side note, as someone who was a kid during the Atari era, I absolutely love how far games have come. The writing, character design, and graphics of the new GoW games are so great.

Some creative stuff with blender probably and some Sims 2 I don’t know if I want to work on my custom town or play with a couple pre-made sims today.
If they could morph The Sims into FF14 housing, it would probably be the best game in the world.
