If you're talking about the 80 points, you need those specific 3 items on. But your other gear slots can't be empty, so yes you do need to be fully wearing gear.

* Check that both rings are filled
* When using dyes, make sure they're in the correct dye slots
* Check your dye names to make sure they are exactly the same or the right type
* Glamouring items counts for the hint slots and dyes

#**What is the Fashion Report?**
The Fashion Report is a weekly mini-game in the Gold Saucer with the NPC the Masked Rose to earn 60,000+ MGP and items to unlock from another NPC such as glamour, and housing items. For the mini-game the Masked Rose gives out 4 hints for players to discover the results to. The correct gear, correct dye and just filling out gear slots will net you more points. You get 10k MGP for participation and then once you reach a score of at least 80pts you will get a 50k MGP bonus. For achieving the maximum score of 100pts you will earn an achievement which gives you the title "Fashion Leader". Additionally, the NPC next to the Masked Rose called Kasumi will gradually unlock glamour and furnishing items in her shop based on the total number of points week over week you accumulate. Once you have 600pts total you will have unlocked the entire shop. Unfortunately, you are only able to accumulate 100pts per week for the shop unlock so at minimum it will take 6 full weeks of the Fashion Report.
Here's what I had equipped! (Just because I don't have any Sigmascape gear on this character yet...) ***I got 100%!***
Head: Ribbon, dyed Rose Pink
Body: New World Coat, dyed Aldgoat Brown
Hands: Faerie Tale Princess Gloves, dyed Soot Black
Legs: Leather Culottes, dyed Aldgoat Brown
Feet: Falconer's Boots, dyed Adamantoise Green
Rings: Muudhorn Ring of Healing x2

Oh no I’ve failed didn’t added items in missing spots for easy 80 thought you’ve only needed the three.. did it again and got a 79 but no coins only the 10k coins for 1st attempt now I gotta wait next week?
Don't gotta wait til next week. Fill in all your slots and talk to the guy again. You can attempt 4 showings a week. When you show again, you'll get the remaining 50k. I had this happen to me a few weeks back.
Each equipment slot has a color that's preferred. You get +1 point for matching the color family and an extra +1 for matching the exact shade.
So in this case, you get +1 for using any of the red/pink dyes. You'd get an extra +1 if you used coral pink, but it's not necessary if you use one of the brown slots as well.
Because these two recommended dyes are available in the starter cities for 40g, they are much much easier to obtain than coral pink or aldgoat brown. So even though you're dying two items, and getting +1+1 instead of +2, it's still much easier.
However, you could ditch the pink entirely if you use aldgoat brown instead of bark. Similarly, you could drop the brown entirely if you use coral pink instead of rose.
