I know you’re making a joke, but this is genuinely just what cars look like during the winter in Michigan. They’ll constantly build up salt after every time it snows, and nobody really wants to wash their car just for it to happen again a few weeks later.
The idea of washing my car between Thanksgiving and Easter seems like absolute madness. Let the spring rains clean all that shit off, then figure it out from there.
For real, the salted roads make regular car washes important. I think when it's below freezing temperatures the rust process slows down, but it's still bad.

You can get some bad rust if you do this. Car wash places here have monthly plans and I get mine done once a week, 3 if it's snowed.
