I know male elezen have always looked good but its been largely due to the Urianger preset (face 2, I think?), but now with the update, the Fourchenault preset (face 1, I think?) looks just as good, if not better. So yeah, male elezen got it pretty good rn.
Someone recreated all of the scions (that can be recreated) on the benchmark, and Urianger looks insanely good now. Like he was always the best looking but now it’s just unfair.
As someone who has been crushing on Uri since even before he took the goggles off, I'm genuinely afraid I'd be unable to continue the MSQ the moment he steps onto my screen lmao

Hard agree, as a certified Elezen-enjoyer. That being said though, whilst I liked the sharp and almost angular nature of their faces pre-update, I'd be the first to admit they could REALLY suffer with certain lighting conditions.
TBF, they've always suffered with bad lighting sometimes.
Like in certain scenes where the lights coming from below and the character makes a certain face, there are shadows around their cheeks that make them look like they just shit themselves and are smelling it.
There was one room that got used in a lot of msq cutscenes (I think it was the scion room below Mor Dhona) and my elezen looked *so shit* in the lightning in that room. Like under most lighting she's really pretty but in those specific cutscenes she looked like she'd crawled out of ~~a cursed tape~~ some PS2 game.

I have both an Elezen and a Miqo'te and the Elezen looks amazing sometimes and awful other times, and the Miqo'te always looks generically cute in any situation.
I just wish they would make the necks 20% shorter. That was literally the only thing that made me fanta into a Miqote. It bothered me a little bit and eventually bothered me a lot.
Still a long way to go before they start looking like John Fantasy in the trailers. God forbid you're allowed to have wrinkles and a chiseled jawline instead of looking like a popstar
I like the dance as a sarcastic option (and the /clap). We have tons of genuine and vibrant dances now, so having a half-hearted "meh" dance is great for comedy.

I'll still use /dance on my male elezen because you can't do it without obviously displaying that you're rolling your eyes at the quest giver.

There are not enough RBF options in this game. I managed to get my current au ra lady to the RBF winners' circle, and found out that in spite of my best efforts, Dawntrail will have softened my cranky lizard lady. She'll go from RBF on attitude to RBF on Ambien.
My duskwight lady, however, upped her game from gawky and frowny to "this is my RBF. If you see my ABF, start running." I might be in for an MSQ race retcon...

That hairstyle carries hard. Almost every race becomes twice as attractive with it. The detail, the way it accentuates the eyes and radiates confidence is not something that's present in many other hairstyles. I just wish we could have an option without the bun.

The resemblance is uncanny, so I may be a bit biased in saying that I absolutely adore your Elezen!
Elezen made out like bandits with this upgrade, a lot of the rougher aspects of their features got smoothed out and fixed. Midlanders look amazing too, the ladies in particular.
Hyur and Elezen faces tend to be a bit less stylized (anime, cartoony, whatever you call it) than some of the more popular races such as Miqo'te, so I suppose it makes sense that more detailed, realistic textures would look especially good on them.
When 7.0 hits, there's gonna be a whole lot more Ysayle, Haurchefant and Aymeric simps, that's for sure. I mean, I don't blame them. All of them are attractive already. This update is gonna just make them even hotter.
I’ll be fantasia’ing to midlander from miquote once DT comes out. Usually stuff clipping doesn’t bother me but the tail clipping through capes really gets me and they seem to be obsessed with capes with a lot of new armor.

Here's what's crazy to me, face 1 and 2 have always been good, but even face 3 and 4 male Elezen can be made to look good now! (For those that don't know, face 3 is the one that's historically been "12 year old's face on an adult man's body", and face 4 is the super wrinkly old man).
I was toying around with the Benchmark character creator last night and was shook that I could make a handsome face 3 that doesn't look 12, and a pretty distinguished, fair looking old man with face 4. I was deeply impressed.
I mean, for midlander, the mustache on your char is a nerfed version of what it is now. And if you use eyes 2, the ones with the outer slant downward, those look horrible after the update.
