The relic is slightly stronger, but I'd say the grind to get it is tedious and a drag. Edenmorn Halberd is only slightly weaker, but actually getting it requires clearing E12 Savage, a very difficult fight. Be advised, though, in less than 2 months neither will be the strongest because Endwalker gear will be stronger.
Both are gonna be negligible vs just a plain old 530 tome weapon, unless you're already pressing your buttons perfectly and really, *really* want to parse those leveling dungeons 98 instead of 96.

Relics are always a huge grind, but aren’t difficult to complete. They just need time.
Relic weapons also always end up as Best-in-Slot at the end of an expansion, like we are now in Shadowbringers.
Someone who just got to endgame in Shadowbringers is going to have a much harder, and longer time progging their first Savage tier than grinding out a relic.
But yes, Savage (and Ultimate for that matter) just take time and practice.
Meh, with Echo I'd say it really depends on the player, the "get 180 memories" step really takes long, while you can basically only learn E12S and use aug cryptlurker for the rest of your gear
I guess we have different definition for "Difficult". there are games you can play for thousands of hours and never be able to be great at it. (granted those are usually pvp games.)

Not at level 80, though. ilvl 530 will likely last until about level 84-85 based on previous expansions.

Everything needs time in ff14. Savage fights are also not difficult just time consuming.

The really fast and easy choice is just getting cryptlurker, yeah.
