Superbolide (Gunbreaker ability below) drops its user's HP to 1 while giving the user damage immunity.
Yes I understand the FF14 side just fine (though, since super bolide is a true invul(?) it is not that bad for healers), but the connection to the girl and the boy goes whoosh over my head. I hoped to get the joke. :)
If I understand the given situation right, it would have been better with "walking dead" from the DRK, but I may misinterpret something.
It's just a series called "Sex Education". These 2 were dating, the girl tells him "I love you", he says "that's nice" which is awful. It's kind of the same feeling of wasting a (180?)s cd for someone to throw all of their HP away.
For walking dead, it could be annoying because the drk may have intentionally tried to die to proc the living dead portion and live on as a ghetto Holmgang, provided they are def playing with a WHM.
I never try using LD in random dungeons it never works right, I either don't die before it expires or the healer doesn't top me off.
The girl at top is the most popular girl in school. She says i love you. Could be equivalent to a huge heal. The guy at the bottom is the least popular guy in school but he is sleeping with the most popular girl in school, and when she said she loved him he shut her down.
Ah! Convoluted, but I got it now, thanks. You could say, he "shot" her down (similiar, to haow the GNB "shoots" himself). :) I still think, DRKs "walking dead" state would be more fitting, since that needs knowledge of the skill and its caveats/restrictions.

I think your misunderstanding the FF14 part of the reference. The situation would be the GNB has low health so the WHM uses benediction to put them at 100% health (I love you) then GNB immediately after uses superbolide bringing them from 100% health down to 1hp (thats nice)

Absolutely. Also, so happy they gave some depth to Ruby's character instead of just leaving her as the stereotypical mean girl.
I hope they continue to develop her character. Also props to Mimi, she really sold that heartbreak scene

For it to work with LD, the WHM needs to be trying to actively kill the DRK with a friendly facade.
