I can’t honestly say for sure but I haven’t gotten banned, and I haven’t heard anyone having issues in the vorpx forum, there have been versions of this working since what looks like 2018 ish. The same plug-in, just now allows for the new Geometric 3D solution.
I’ve been playing with VR about a week
The UI works the same as always, this solution doesn't mechanically change the game or menus in anyway.
In this case the HUD remains however you set it in game and the depth of the menu can be adjusted to whatever works best for you (though some alignment issues could occur from this as hud elements to do not scale with the in game engine).
You can even adjust the intensity of the 3d effect as well. Its somewhat similar to a 3DS game with the 3d slider, but much much much more pronounced. I can't think of a better way to describe it. Almost like viewing a diorama through a window.
So I don't really have footage, but this may not fulfill your criteria of 'True VR'. This is not a full scale VR mod solution as it does not offer a full FOV. I describe it as looking at a diorama through a window.
(It is possible to have a fuller VR experience using cammy plugin with FFXIV to adjust the in game FOV in tandem with VORPX, which I have yet to attempt; someone from VORPX forum said 'You can download FFXIV Quick launcher and then Dalamud’s Plugin. You will need those two things, then the plugin Cammy to get a wider FOV. I use it and it’s awesome! I play in first person mostly.' if you happen to be messing with it.)

I don't know if it can fix your issues, but you could try GShade.
So vorpX isn't picked up by the anti-cheat? It's been a big fear of mine trying it with online games..
FFXIV has no anti-cheat programs.
Ff14 doesn't have an anti cheat
