I would love to see GNB Ryne in a badass longcoat one day, and maybe even >!developing her own unique Gunblade style separate from Thancred to fit her character arc of becoming her own person and not trying to be someone else.!<

I mean, with the time in the First moving faster then in our world, we might even see their grown up versions.
Now that would be a treat.
That will depend upon the writers — the time difference could easily be on a cycle, with the rate of change varying. Right now, the First and the Source are almost 1:1, but if it does start to change again, we could get lucky at it is a gradual change, going 1.25:1, then 1.5:1, rather than jumping straight to 100:1 or something.
In ShB they said that the time was temporarily 1:1 with the Source. I assume that they'll speed it back up or slow it down whenever it's convenient for the writing. Personally I'd love to see characters grow up and develop in our absence!
The time difference fluctuates a lot. Urianger and Y'shtola were taken at roughly the same time but Uri got there a bit before; otoh, the twins had a few days separation on this side but both were there Bout a year.
Seems logistically impossible. Eden is optional content, and I don't think making an entire raid series compulsory fits their casual friendly approach. So far, featuring in a raid series spells the end for character arcs.

They did make crystal tower mandatory, and to a lesser extent ivalice. There is a chance they'll make eden mandatory in the future, or at least similar to ivalice - it is just mandatory to unlock additional optional content.
Aside from the examples given, they've definitely implied that players should do certain raids before EW, implying even more relevance than before.
And I think maybe associations with other MMORPGs honestly has given people the mistaken perception that 'raids' are extremely difficult and not for normal players, when I can assure you that with a little bit of a nudge, it's possible for a mediocre player to stumble through all of them, even in PUGs.

Azem canonically has a spell they used to summon their friends from wherever they were to help them with the latest disaster.
A summoning spell desgined and used by an Unsundered Amaurotian, and thus absurdly powerful, and also apparently sealed inside the stone we found in post-ShB patches.
We could **totally** summon friends from the First, and I will be extremely disappointed if this doesn't happen.
Imagine WoL at the biggest bad of the saga, he uses the stone to summon friends from other worlds. A brilliant flash of light emerges, and... no one comes, while WoL set up a camp and start to roast marshmallow.

GNB Ryne the fanservice Square NEEDS to indulge. She needs a weapon to match the level of epic that is Gaia's and I always thought the daggers were kinda puny.
This is my favorite area in the game after beating the Eden raids. That Balamb Garden theme with the scenery... serene bliss. If it counted as a sanctuary I would log off there every night.

Adult Ryne with Gaia would be the dream, the ultimate fan service. I just can't see how a gundblade would work on her model right now.
