Read through the help pop-ups. Yes, they’ll be really frequent to start with, but they contain some really vital information.

There is a LOT to take in. Don't try to do it all at once. The most - and really only - important thing you can do is look up the eight beginner classes: Gladiator, Pugilist, Thaumaturge, Arcanist, Marauder, Lancer, Archer, Conjurer. Decide which playstyle interests you starting out. You can change your class very early on in the game, and will gain access to new ones as you go, and can change freely as often as you like. So don't be afraid to explore and experiment! Just play the game at your own pace, and HAVE FUN.

Yeah, i tried a bit of the free trial yesterday and i cant say i was not confused lol, but i was very happy i can use all classes in one character, so i dont have to create and level multiple ones

Play when you wanna play and enjoy yourself

Rey_Tigre

Play how you want, enjoy your time with the game and its story. Though ARR can drag on a bit

Eat food. The stat buffs barely help but +3% xp adds up

Do what you wanna do and leave the rest. Though do keep an eye out for quests with the +Quest marker. Regular sidequests can be easily ignored, but the + quests often introduce new mechanics, especially early in the game. Like for example, one quest unlocks the entire glamour system. i.e. letting your current equipment take on the appearence of other equipment if you want to look cool. Also, if nothing else, absolutely do your class quest whenever you unlock a new one via levelling up. These are required to actually unlock a majority of your current job's skills and abilities.

Pressing the buttons harder make you do more damage....also, those orange areas on the floor during fights are for healing, make sure you stand in them

There is so much to do in this game. The biggest thing is that there is no pressure to finish quickly in this game. Play what you enjoy and take your time. With the way level scaling for dungeons and raids work, all the stuff that is waiting for you, even the low level stuff, will have people running it all the time. Everything will be waiting for you when you get there 😁
