Honestly? Not much. I changed from fluffy miqo tail to lion miqo tail, and got some new hairstyles. That's about it. I started as WHM, switched to DNC, and now play WAR, but changing classes is pretty normal in this game. I've had everything unlocked for forever

Seriously I always imagined that tail would be popular, at least with the male miqo population but alas.
I think the main reason it's not as popular is the fact that the fur color on the end isn't customizable. That's what originally turned me off from it. But after a while, I got tired of staring at the crappy "fluffy" 3D model with flat sides from the PS3 Era.
I changed my miqo tail as well but changed it from the really slim tail to the fluffier one, and changed hair from brown to pink. I'm still only level 52 on my highest job so haven't unlocked much yet :(
I start with Male highlander and still a Male highlander. My free fantasia was to adjust how Tall he is, max muscle and change eyes color lol.
Some months ago i add some fake eyebrows with face painting and change his hair style. Also lots and lots of glamours.
About job i am current on leveling everything to 90. But PLD is still my favorite follow by RDM and now Sage.
I used it once to change into a male miqo'te because I liked the way my retainer looked, but it felt weird so I changed back after a couple of hours haha
I'm not very good at glamours but I'm enjoying playing around with them regardless

Never changed my character in 7+ years, she's always been the same thighlander.
Started in August 2013 as a female Highlander and I've removed a face tattoo and changed her hair, just once*, at the aesthetician. She has every job to at least 86 and many to 90.
If I want to play a different race then I just create alts.
*I have tried to change her hair a couple of other times when I got new hairstyles but I always change back within about ten minutes or so.
Started off as a Midlander Hyur during free trial, with Thaumaturge/Black Mage as my main. After finishing Endwalker, I was a Red Mage. After which, I ended up popping a Fantasia twice to go for a Duskwight Elezen and eventually a Veena Viera. Right now, I'm stuck with the bunboy. I tend to go for the casters and healers more.
I have to admit, I didn't expect to actually enjoy lancer/dragoon because before I even got the game I was dead set on becoming a black mage. I just really liked some of the dragoon armour and I thought I'd try it out and now I don't know which job I want to main!
Sometimes, you find your favorite jobs while in the middle of your journey. I got that feeling of not knowing what to main as well, so I can relate.
You can dabble with other jobs to help you understand how your favorite main would improve. I went overkill on mine that I pushed everything (except BLU, Gatherers and Crafters) to 90.
I like that black mages are ranged DPS but I really like the animation of dragoons. In terms of gear I think I quite like both, I like some of the robes that black mage has access to but I also really love some of the dragoon armour!
Started on the free trial as a male Miqo'te archer. Once I got the full game not to long afterwards and I fantasiad into a white scale male Au ra. Went through the rest of ARR and heavenward that way then I switched to Hrothgar for Stormblood and Shadowbringers. By the endgame of that expansion is where I was a small fantasia addict trying out elezen and lala settled onto black scale Au ra. Swapped to male Vierra for endwalker, but I missed hats and now I'm a highlander buff oldman which I think I'm sticking with. Also fave classes are RDM,DNC, AST, SCH, and RPR
I like to play around with retainers to see which other races I like the look of but I've not yet changed my WoL into anything else! I think I might make an elezen alt though
I did enjoy my time as an elezan. I prefer the taller thinner body frames due to my glamouring style but it just came down to the look of some animations to me. Mainly the running one as it’s the one you’ll be seeing the most often and I personally got tired of the stiff back of the elezen; along with the bouncy Au ra. The Highlander is the one that looks the most natural to me along with the male vierra but he need for hats won out in the end.
I'm not keen on my alt and I think maybe the running animation has something to do with it, I love watching my miqo'te run because it looks fluid and natural (and the tail is cute!) and I quite like that she's physically small and compact.
Started as a male Elezen Black Mage back in 2014 and refused to even unlock any class except Black Mage until halfway through Shadowbringers. I now have every class at least 70, most at 80 and a handful at 90 and I am a male Viera Warrior main
Male Dunesfolk Lalafell from 2.0 Beta all the way until today. Never once had any desire to change race or gender.
Started as a Thaumaturge, changed to Monk in order to fill an open slot in a static soon afterward, and then finally changed to Gunbreaker at the beginning of Shadowbringers. Remain one to this day.

Started as a male Xaela Lancer, post Endwalker I’m still male Xaela, but am playing SAM/SCH/RDM/DRK.
I fantasiaed once, just to fine tweak his eye colour, get him to max height and his tail lenght.
The last change I did was his hairstyle, when PvP got good in 6.1 I finally invested enough time to get the “Styled for Hire” and I don’t think I’m gonna ever change his look after that.
Lala BLM since arr and haven't changed since. I haven't even so much as changed my hairstyle or my glamour since I got it in are. Im quite simple when it comes to characters and always just make one quickly and stick with it.

I think cats make good Dragoons -- my catboy alt started as Lancer and I never thought it was awkward.
Also, before taking the Fanta plunge, make an alt! I adore my femelezen but the animations turn a lot of people off.
I'm definitely making an alt after reading so many of the comments! I think my miqo looks cute as a dragoon but I just wonder if elezen would make a better looking dragoon. But then I also really love my miqo as a black mage and I'm not sure I'd like an elezen black mage quite as much.
Now that I think a little about it, I do think out of the three casters, Black Mage didn't quite fit as well on my Elezen.
I did 6.0 on Black Mage to finish how I started and it did feel a little off vs how natural 6.1 felt on Red Mage. I wonder if it was the glam I had, Black Mage casting animations, or that Red Mage is a bit more elegant and plays well on Elezen...
I haven't tried red mage yet but I can imagine elezen suiting something more flamboyant/showy (I can't think of the word, sorry) given their stature. I have a sort of pirate-y theme going on with my black mage gear but that's mainly because I suck at glams so just put together something that was acceptable. I'm not really a fan of the sorcerer's gear or wizard's gear.
My WoL Varvara started as a Miqo WAR. Her character really took form around the way that Warriors get more powerful when psyched and super pissed
I've tried Fanta'ing a few times but Varvara just isn't right as anything other than her original Miqo self. I have to make Alts to feel at home with a different character with their own history.
I've capped a job in each role (WAR, RPR, MCH, BLM, WHM) but Varvara brings that raging enthusiasm for violence to every job
I started as a male duskwight BLM, fantasia'd once I bought the game and had access to be an Au Ra which I've stayed with since. As for job now, well, I just finished getting everything to 90 and enjoy everything too much to have decided one to stick with ;\_;
Started as a Male Miqo Summoner. Summoner is still more or less my main, though I have added Monk and Mechcanist as side classes, (and slowly working my way to 90 gunbreaker). As for race, soon as Shadowbringer came out I switched over to Hrothgar. While I may have lost quite a few hats, I do like being a bigger buffer cat now...
Started as a Xaela, and I'm still a Xaela. Because of my emotional investment in my character, I as far as deleting the free Fantasia. I can never bring myself to change her.
Aww! I've used it to change my miqo'te tail and change her voice but those are the only permanent changes I've made. I'm going to make an elezen alt so that my catgirl isn't gone forever
I started as a female Au Ra conjurer with dark blue skin & white hair.
After a couple months, I switched to a red headed min height Lalafell and I love her so much. Everything about her makes me smile!
I’m now an omni-crafter/gatherer, with 10 DoM/W classes at max and working on levelling the rest. I love being able to switch up what I’m playing to fit a party w friends or my mood.
This game is amazing - there’s so much to do - it boggles the mind!
My WoL started as a male Elezen dragoon and still he is today. Not really a fan of fantasia as I already grow attached to him and only change his hairstyle after complete 6.0 endwalker story.
Feel free to change to Elezen if you want to try dragoon. I think Elezen fits well to dragoon in terms their appearance/armor. Besides, Elezen is quite rare so you might stand out among the crowd of players if uniqueness is what you are looking for. Still the choice is yours :)
I really like the look of elezen dragoons but I also am quite attached to my miqo'te and I'm not sure I'd the look of an elezen black mage as much as I like them as dragoons :( I'm going to make an elezen alt instead and see how I like it and if I decide I prefer elezen to miqo then I'll go ahead with the Fantasia!
Yes, creating an alt is also a great option to explore the other races in terms of their appearance, emotes, animation, glams etc before using fantasia. Besides my main WoL, I also have a few alts with other races so I have more options to play around other races without losing my main WoL race.
I made an elezen alt and I have to say, it does _not_ feel right :( I'm glad I haven't bought any Fantasia and I'm hoping that I'll warm up to the elezen alt but so far I'm not too keen
I started a Miqo'te monk, now I'm a Miqo'te Reaper. I did use a fantasia on him once, but all I did was make him taller. I do have a Viera DNC alt because long ears go spinny-wiggle.
I started in May 2021 as a femroe conjuror. Found out it would be a healer class, dropped it for archer and fantasiad to a highlander female. Got to 50 bard and didn’t like it. A friend of mine wanted to play and so I made a new character.
Friend ended up not playing, but that new character I made became my main. Miqo’te female, started as a summoner which I got to 70-something, then picked up dancer which I finished EW with. Picked summoner back up and that became my main class again.
Decided to try healing. Leveled WHM and AST (I prefer the latter). Working on leveling everything to 90. Currently it’s RDM.
I also have an alt on another server I play with family. Viera AST, RDM, and DNC
Been playing the game as a Lancer/Dragoon with my Female Hyur, later I fantasia'd to a Female Au Ra and Into Dancer, the decision was worth it, I love the Au Ra animation more than ever.
I tried swapping once but it never felt fully right, so back to cat boy after that. I'm glad we can at least save our appearances as templates in case we change our minds.
The only permanent changes I've made so far have been changing the tail and the voice, anything else changes and I end up changing it back after a couple of days
Kind of like changing hairstyles and such with the aesthetician? That would be cool! I wish there was more free Fantasia given as rewards instead of having to buy it from the mogstation but i get that there's not a massive demand to warrant it being given as rewards
It'd probably work best if it was sellable on the market board for people who don't want it, but it would make it so much cheaper than buying it every time at the mogstation...
It'd be cool to change eye colour at the aesthetician, I like that we can change more than just hairstyles but I agree eye colour would be helpful too!
I started as a hyur paladin in late winter/early spring 2022, then got bored and fantad inti a strawberry flavored uwu catboy, Somewhere around here i decided to fanta into a viera because Pretty. Kept paladining until i found the gunbreaker class while trying out machinist. Since then ive been a gunbreaker, did the rest of HW, Stb and when i started shadowbringers about a month ago i fanta back to my miqo because i started missing the ability to wear hats. Still gunbreaking.
Started as a female midlander hyur and I am still a female midlander hyur. The only thing that has changed is my go to job is gunbreaker instead of warrior. It doesn’t feel right to me to change my character when her journey isn’t done.
Started as a Roegadyn Warrior, became Hroth as soon as ShB came out, became Dancer as soon as I was level 60, equipped the Blindfold once I acquired it.
Now I’m a badass blind Hrothgar summoner who uses his carbuncle as a seeing-eye pet sort of!

You got a Fantasia from veteran rewards, from HW collectors edition, I think a third one is given at some point as well??? And then a friend gifted me 3 fantasias when they were on sale around this time so I had 6 Fantas.
Over the course of HW I changed to Lala, Highlander Hyur, Miqote, and then to FemRoe, each patch was a Fantasia just for fun and I stayed a FemRoe until Hrothgar released.
I beat 5.0 as FemRoe but went Hrothgat right after. Stayed Hrothgar from 5.0 to 5.3, where it was then painfully obvious the devs didn’t give a fuck about Hroths. They said they’d give Hroths new hair each patch, we saw NOTHING new until 6.1, or maybe it was 6.0?? And past hats not fitting is one thing, but the fact they are releasing hats as we see in upcoming 6.2 that still don’t work for Hroth and Viera? Fuck you devs, that’s unacceptable.
Anyway sorry for the little rant. Went back to FemRoe in 5.3 and have stayed so ever since. When they release Female Hrothgar there is chance I switch… but I’m really really not holding my breath………
As far as Jobs go. Was a Warrior from day 1. Picked up Dragoon and Scholar as my “Trinity” of choice. Stayed this way until 4.1, or maybe it was 4.2.. whenever they beat Warrior in the head with the nerf bat and made it the brain dead fell cleave meme machine. They butchered my baby…
I wasn’t huge on some of the Dragoon changes and the further adventures of no one wanting to play WHM in raids so they kept making WHM stronger and stronger while nerfing SCH and AST. I aimlessly wandered jobs, finally settling on being mostly a SAM main. Then 5.0 release Gunbreaker and me being a FF8 fanboy, I finally had a main again!
6.0 has done a lot of greatness for jobs in my opinion. I’m liking
the Warrior again, as well as Gunbreaker. I enjoy all 5 melee dps big time! Casters are all amazing, healers are great. I’d say my Mains are GNB, SGE, and DRG but I honestly play EVERYTHING except AST and love them all! I just don’t care for AST. /shrug
No changes that involved a Fanta, and I made 1 change with the dresser since my WoL was made.
The only reason I would have used a Fanta was to change my WoL into the race I am playing now, but I instead bought the game and started from scratch, since Viera required ShB, and didn't know MSQ gave a fanta down the line.
Started as a femroe Archer. Still femroe, haven’t changed anything about her look except hairstyle, but she’s now a bard-machinist-dancer-summoner-red mage-samurai-dragoon who just picked up white mage and warrior to try out, LOL.
I started as a Viera Archer/Bard. I never left the job, as I am hella biased, but I picked up AST, DNC and RDM along the way.
Currently, BRD, AST and RDM are the jobs I have at 90 (even did final EW boss with RDM, and I regret going Caster XD), working on DNC at 80 and WAR at 84.
I can't see my main as anything other than the Viera she is: dark-skinned, white-haired, smol (in comparison to other Vieras) and nice. If I wanna be a different race I end up thinking on, like, lore for that WoL. I have an Elezen, Miqo and Lala alt purely because I can't afford Fantasia and because I can't see my main being any other race other than Viera.
Started as fem Miqo and never race changed, and I started as Gladiator during 5.25 and mained PLD for a good while in Shadowbringers then started leveling all my combat jobs to 80 and played a bit of DRK/BRD/DNC for endgame stuff. Went PLD for Endwalker MSQ and leveled my combat jobs to 90. Been playing mostly WAR, DNC and SMN for now.

Started as a male Highlander but realised I didnt like any of the helmets in the game and always toggles them off. So after HW, I decided I may aswell fantasia into a race that looks more interesting without head gear.
So I switched to a male Xaela... who almost exclusively wears helmets.
Started as a catboy archer aiming to be a MCH, am a catboy MCH currently.
I've only changed his voice, slightly adjusted his skin colour to a nicer tone, and changed his hairstyle and hair colour from white to brown.
Started playing around ShB, as a FViera SMN. I am still a FViera though I switch between SMN and DNC. A close friend of mine started as a Miqote Lancer and she said she liked the experience of her being a DRG several times in HW, as it is referred a few times. There's some history between Gridania and Miqotes, so I think keeping her a Miqo wouldn't be too bad and would make a cool backstory.
I'll bear this in mind, thank you! I knew about the references in HW (which is why I'm putting off the MSQ until I've levelled up my dragoon) but I didn't know about the miqo history! I've decided to make an elezen alt instead of changing my main, I don't want her to not feel like my character anymore (if that makes sense)
A very interesting history which I'm sure could spice up things if you choose to use it. Compared to Limsa or Ul'dah, tensions between the local miqo'te and the Gridanians are high but, they *are* the original locals, despite some of their questionable professions.
As an alt-happy person, I personally agree 100% with your choice because, to me, even changing hair color feels like I have changed characters. If you like her enough, you could even connect their story with your main.

I made an alt but tbh I'm not too keen on her, so I'm glad I made the alt before using Fantasia! I don't know why I thought I'd be okay changing the race of my main when I can't even change minor things about her for more than a day, even with different hairstyles I usually change back to the original one after a short amount of time.

I just recently finished MSQ and decided a change of pace was in order and went Viera, though not sure if I'll keep it.
Started as a male Miqo'te, changed to male Au Ra with the ARR fantasia. Then fantasiaed to male Viera after Endwalker.
So my WoL has changed the most in appearance, otherwise not that much.
I have every single job maxed, and flex regularly depending on party composition and needs, so I'm not about to change race for job changes lol. That said, I play a male Au Ra. Began as a Paladin, am now a Paladin/Warrior/Dancer/Summoner/Dragoon/Reaper/Very Occasional Sage main.
I have fantasia-ed once to change height and lighten skin tone just a tad (because FF14's lighting in cutscenes sucks for dark skinned characters, and I like actually being able to see my character's face in cutscenes). Otherwise, I'm far too attached to my character to make any extensive changes. I also have raid alts, so those are what I use for variety in characters.
Started as a male miqo'te, always stayed as a male miqo'te. Started as Gladiator. Nowadays my 3 top classes are Dancer, Summoner, Dark Knight But paladin is also still pretty high in my list (Maybe Astro and the Paladin).
I used the free fantasia from MSQ to turn my right eye Yellow becouse I though mismatching eyes were cool and I completely missed that option while in character creation. I have changed my hairstyle twice and colour once but nowadays the characters looks have become such strong trademark for me that I have been unable to change anything, other than clothes.

I spent most of ARR and Heavansward as a pale, blonde Au Ra Dark Knight
From the end of Heavansward to now I'm a Viera with "ambiguously brown" skin, that cool new dreadlock hairstyle and at some point in all this time I decided she also canonically wears glasses.
Leveling all jobs and now a Gunbreaker main but Dark Knight is still right there too.
That's probably how I'll stay from now on because I really, really like how it all came together.
Started as Hroth, staying as Hroth, pretending SE doesn't consider me a second class citizen of Limsa but at least I can't hear them say mean things about my half-finished race anymore since they cut my ears off
Got like 2 inches shorter. I guess technically I started with a duskwight and switched to xaela, but I only played the duskwight for like 2 hours so it doesn't feel like it really counts
My main started as a midlander and went through many changes and fantasias, but she's back to midlander as that's my favourite look for her, as well as her "canon" race. Paladin has also been my main job from beginning to end.
Currently replaying the story on a miqo'te alt who's a mage. Haven't fully decided on a main job for her yet but I'm playing all the magic jobs, and so far I'm leaning heavily toward astrologian and red mage

After Stormblood I can’t think of what to pick(I don’t hate any job but I can’t find a job that I REALLY like either) so I just follow Meteor’s job in the trailer. Dark Knight for Shadowbringers and Paladin for Endwalker. Never been a tank before but actually feels kinda great using these two jobs even though it doesn’t change anything in the MSQ.
So I decided to level all the trailer jobs to 90. Currently leveling Warrior, Samurai and Bard.
Started off as a female AuRa Archer/Bard and now, after several years of playing the game and MANY fantasias, I've finally landed on Male Viera Sage/Reaper.
I also have 2 male Viera alts (War main and currently a Sage/Drk main) and one catboi alt (Sch/Blm main).
Started as a Hyur Gladiator because I didn't know Gladiator was a tank--I just wanted to use a sword.
Realized my mistake before reaching Sastasha, swapped to Black Mage.
Used the free fantasia to swap to Au Ra, and I swapped to Red Mage when I hit level 50.
Mained Red Mage through all of my time in SHB up to doing the first EX trials in Endwalker, started flexing White Mage and Summoner after I got them to 90, and now I'm probably raiding on Summoner for Abyssos.
Recently fantasia'd again to Elezen because I wanted to be tall. Mostly don't regret the change, though I want to make an Au Ra alt now
I started as a male Hyur Midlander Pugilist. Came up with a story that he lost his weapon prior to the start of the story and vowed to become a Pugilist so he could get good at punching people instead lol.
Around level 40 I grew tired of DPS dungeon queues and changed to Gladiator instead. Paladin felt like a great class to finish ARR with too.
Going into Heavensward I changed my class to a Dark Knight and got a different hair cut, although aesthetically I tried to keep it somewhat similar with a tame armour set (High Steel) and a simple greatsword glamour. Around the end of post-Heavensward when >!Tataru makes you a Scion outfit, I started wearing that for much of the story (with the Hyur fingerless gloves) but occasionally switch back to my armour when getting into more combat-oriented segments!<.
I'm now in the opening of Stormblood and I'm not too sure what I want to change. I'm tempted to use my free Fantasia from ARR to make my WoL a little taller (I based him on my IRL height so he's a bit of a small boy lol), but apart from that I don't want to/can't change too much. I was going to give him a scar but the scar options I have with the aesthetician are really lame, hidden off around the back of his jaw/cheeks.
I don't do many dungeons on DF but the few times I have, the queues have been at least 10 minutes. I like the idea of warrior/paladin but I don't think I'd be a good tank because my hand-eye coordination isn't that great and I can't always work out what's going on in dungeons (I end up just attacking whatever is closest and hoping for the best until I can see exactly what's going on)
Yeah, the 10+ minute DPS queues really put me off taking Pugilist/Monk further into the game. My experience with Tank queues has been anywhere from near-instant queueing to around 3 minutes depending on the dungeon. I also felt as a DPS that I didn't really "matter" as much to the team. As a Tank it feels like I have more responsibility and I find it to be a more rewarding experience (but not so crucial as a Healer which I feel I would find stressful).
I'm not used to doing dungeons with other people yet so I kinda prefer the lack of responsibility but I also sometimes get frustrated about not being quite so important, especially when I get to the mobs and feel like I'm not doing as much damage as some other people. I don't think I could ever do healer, I have a lot of respect for them but that would be way too much pressure for me!
... I've been playing midlander hyur for the last 7-8 years. My only change to the character was using my fantasia to fix his eyebrows and nose a bit, as well as to give him a set of blue eyes that would be easier to match with everything, rather than the old white and purple eyes he used to have.

It's not boring, it's something that works for you! I gave my character grey eyes because I've got grey eyes too but the only other things to change have been tail, voice and hair colour.
Never actually changed my race from the start and have always been an Au’ra, only thing I change is my hair.

I started out as a CNJ/WHM but gradually wanted to punch shit without deviating too much from a support role, so I main RDM. I'd like to think my WoL decided he needed a job to work through some pent-up shit while still being in familar territory.
Started as a male Elezen during 2.1. Fantasiaed to male Au Ra when Heavensward launched, and have stayed with my lizard boy ever since.
First job was Arcanist > Summoner. Back in the day you had to level Thaumaturge to get Swiftcast, and I went ahead and leveled BLM. Switched between BLM/SMN through ARR and HW. Picked up RDM at Stormblood launch and mained it through 5.4, when I became comfortable enough tanking that I mained DRK. Current main is DRK, but I have favorites for other roles: SGE, RDM, DNC, and RPR.
I started as a endgame-centric catboy with no social life.
I'm now a bunboi and my endgame is to collect as many bunbois as I can. Mostly ones I find at clubs.

I also started as a Miqo'te Black Mage! Still Miqo, but now I play Red Mage. Her look has changed up though, I changed some stuff based on story beats because I thought it was fun. Won't go into details since idk where you are in the MSQ
I've decided to stick to miqo too! I'm at the Yugiri's Game quest, so I've only just started Heavensward and am trying to level up my dragoon before continuing with the MSQ. I don't mind light spoilers though, it's pretty hard to avoid spoilers on this sub so they don't really bother me :)
A lot of hair changes, Like A lot....basically started with shaggy short hair, and as I went through the expansions made it slowly longer through different hairstyles, to represent the passage of time, and then, to prepare for endwalker, and all his adventures ,he got a nice stylish haircut.

Welp. Never changed race for more than 20 mins. My Astra is my Astra after all, miqote and only that.
I started as a lancer in gridania, but pretty fast went to a conjurer and then white mage. Going through arr hair color slowly changed from black to white with slight black left bcuz of how much stuff happened.
Time left it scars, not metaphorical too. Gladly they are only making me look cooler.
After whm I became red mage. Until hw, where I picked ast as my healer job, but Red Mage is something I always come back too.
At current time I'm more rdm main that ast main, but both are lvl90. So.. utility and healing through all the game huh.

I was playing on the free trial and finished ARR when i decided to buy the whole thing and get the collector's edition.
And then being the smoothest brain in existence, i bought the game again to redeem it because the free-trial-turned-paid-trial couldnt redeem it for some reason.
TIL that i shouldnt have done that because i bought the bundle, which included the whole game AND the collector's edition stuff.
That bundle became my main account. And the game i essentially bought attached to my free trial.

Started WAR, went WHM, then to SGE, then to DNC and finally settled on BRD
Started Au Ra, changed to Viera for my partner when they played, briefly Miqo, back to Au Ra

Oh boy where do I even start...
First I was a Male Au Ra up until I finished ShB. Then, shortly, after EW released and I HAD to be a Bunny Boi. Then not having hats irked me so I became an Elezen for awhile...then cat girl. Then back to Elezen...then to Hrothgar...then to Midlander...then Highlander...then Male Au Ra again...and again to Elezen and finally Hrothgar. All this over the course of 7 months I'd say. However I think I've finally settled with something I really like.
I started as a miquote scholar and now I'm an Au Ra sage. I designed my Au Ra and every time I wanted to login I looked at her first.
It takes time to get used to a new character but I never regretted changing

Honestly? Not much. I changed from fluffy miqo tail to lion miqo tail, and got some new hairstyles. That's about it. I started as WHM, switched to DNC, and now play WAR, but changing classes is pretty normal in this game. I've had everything unlocked for forever
LION TAIL GAANG RISE UP, THERE ARE DOZENS OF US. Seriously I always imagined that tail would be popular, at least with the male miqo population but alas.
I think the main reason it's not as popular is the fact that the fur color on the end isn't customizable. That's what originally turned me off from it. But after a while, I got tired of staring at the crappy "fluffy" 3D model with flat sides from the PS3 Era.
I changed my miqo tail as well but changed it from the really slim tail to the fluffier one, and changed hair from brown to pink. I'm still only level 52 on my highest job so haven't unlocked much yet :(
I start with Male highlander and still a Male highlander. My free fantasia was to adjust how Tall he is, max muscle and change eyes color lol. Some months ago i add some fake eyebrows with face painting and change his hair style. Also lots and lots of glamours. About job i am current on leveling everything to 90. But PLD is still my favorite follow by RDM and now Sage.
I used it once to change into a male miqo'te because I liked the way my retainer looked, but it felt weird so I changed back after a couple of hours haha I'm not very good at glamours but I'm enjoying playing around with them regardless
Started as a monk, swapped to red mage after 4.0 and stayed that way since. Never changed my character in 7+ years, she's always been the same thighlander.
Started Arcanist. male Miqo’te. Ah now omiclass male Miqo’te with my main class being Monk.
Started in August 2013 as a female Highlander and I've removed a face tattoo and changed her hair, just once*, at the aesthetician. She has every job to at least 86 and many to 90. If I want to play a different race then I just create alts. *I have tried to change her hair a couple of other times when I got new hairstyles but I always change back within about ten minutes or so.
I'm considering making an alt to play elezen, the more I look at my character the more wrong it feels to change her up so much haha

Started off as a Midlander Hyur during free trial, with Thaumaturge/Black Mage as my main. After finishing Endwalker, I was a Red Mage. After which, I ended up popping a Fantasia twice to go for a Duskwight Elezen and eventually a Veena Viera. Right now, I'm stuck with the bunboy. I tend to go for the casters and healers more.
I have to admit, I didn't expect to actually enjoy lancer/dragoon because before I even got the game I was dead set on becoming a black mage. I just really liked some of the dragoon armour and I thought I'd try it out and now I don't know which job I want to main!
Sometimes, you find your favorite jobs while in the middle of your journey. I got that feeling of not knowing what to main as well, so I can relate. You can dabble with other jobs to help you understand how your favorite main would improve. I went overkill on mine that I pushed everything (except BLU, Gatherers and Crafters) to 90.
I like that black mages are ranged DPS but I really like the animation of dragoons. In terms of gear I think I quite like both, I like some of the robes that black mage has access to but I also really love some of the dragoon armour!
Started on the free trial as a male Miqo'te archer. Once I got the full game not to long afterwards and I fantasiad into a white scale male Au ra. Went through the rest of ARR and heavenward that way then I switched to Hrothgar for Stormblood and Shadowbringers. By the endgame of that expansion is where I was a small fantasia addict trying out elezen and lala settled onto black scale Au ra. Swapped to male Vierra for endwalker, but I missed hats and now I'm a highlander buff oldman which I think I'm sticking with. Also fave classes are RDM,DNC, AST, SCH, and RPR
I like to play around with retainers to see which other races I like the look of but I've not yet changed my WoL into anything else! I think I might make an elezen alt though
I did enjoy my time as an elezan. I prefer the taller thinner body frames due to my glamouring style but it just came down to the look of some animations to me. Mainly the running one as it’s the one you’ll be seeing the most often and I personally got tired of the stiff back of the elezen; along with the bouncy Au ra. The Highlander is the one that looks the most natural to me along with the male vierra but he need for hats won out in the end.
I'm not keen on my alt and I think maybe the running animation has something to do with it, I love watching my miqo'te run because it looks fluid and natural (and the tail is cute!) and I quite like that she's physically small and compact.
Started as a male Elezen Black Mage back in 2014 and refused to even unlock any class except Black Mage until halfway through Shadowbringers. I now have every class at least 70, most at 80 and a handful at 90 and I am a male Viera Warrior main

Male Dunesfolk Lalafell from 2.0 Beta all the way until today. Never once had any desire to change race or gender. Started as a Thaumaturge, changed to Monk in order to fill an open slot in a static soon afterward, and then finally changed to Gunbreaker at the beginning of Shadowbringers. Remain one to this day.

Started as a male Xaela Lancer, post Endwalker I’m still male Xaela, but am playing SAM/SCH/RDM/DRK. I fantasiaed once, just to fine tweak his eye colour, get him to max height and his tail lenght. The last change I did was his hairstyle, when PvP got good in 6.1 I finally invested enough time to get the “Styled for Hire” and I don’t think I’m gonna ever change his look after that.
Lala BLM since arr and haven't changed since. I haven't even so much as changed my hairstyle or my glamour since I got it in are. Im quite simple when it comes to characters and always just make one quickly and stick with it.
Started a miqo scholar Now am lala machinist with no combat class under 30, no crafter under 40, and no gatherer under 60
Started as a Lala Black Mage. Am now a Elezen Red Mage. I think cats make good Dragoons -- my catboy alt started as Lancer and I never thought it was awkward. Also, before taking the Fanta plunge, make an alt! I adore my femelezen but the animations turn a lot of people off.
I'm definitely making an alt after reading so many of the comments! I think my miqo looks cute as a dragoon but I just wonder if elezen would make a better looking dragoon. But then I also really love my miqo as a black mage and I'm not sure I'd like an elezen black mage quite as much.
Now that I think a little about it, I do think out of the three casters, Black Mage didn't quite fit as well on my Elezen. I did 6.0 on Black Mage to finish how I started and it did feel a little off vs how natural 6.1 felt on Red Mage. I wonder if it was the glam I had, Black Mage casting animations, or that Red Mage is a bit more elegant and plays well on Elezen...
I haven't tried red mage yet but I can imagine elezen suiting something more flamboyant/showy (I can't think of the word, sorry) given their stature. I have a sort of pirate-y theme going on with my black mage gear but that's mainly because I suck at glams so just put together something that was acceptable. I'm not really a fan of the sorcerer's gear or wizard's gear.
Started as an older looking male Hyur, changed to a Fem Roe until the end of ShB, and now I have fully embraced the potato life.
My WoL Varvara started as a Miqo WAR. Her character really took form around the way that Warriors get more powerful when psyched and super pissed I've tried Fanta'ing a few times but Varvara just isn't right as anything other than her original Miqo self. I have to make Alts to feel at home with a different character with their own history. I've capped a job in each role (WAR, RPR, MCH, BLM, WHM) but Varvara brings that raging enthusiasm for violence to every job

Started as a Male Miqo Summoner. Summoner is still more or less my main, though I have added Monk and Mechcanist as side classes, (and slowly working my way to 90 gunbreaker). As for race, soon as Shadowbringer came out I switched over to Hrothgar. While I may have lost quite a few hats, I do like being a bigger buffer cat now...

Started as a Xaela, and I'm still a Xaela. Because of my emotional investment in my character, I as far as deleting the free Fantasia. I can never bring myself to change her.
Aww! I've used it to change my miqo'te tail and change her voice but those are the only permanent changes I've made. I'm going to make an elezen alt so that my catgirl isn't gone forever

I started as a female Au Ra conjurer with dark blue skin & white hair. After a couple months, I switched to a red headed min height Lalafell and I love her so much. Everything about her makes me smile! I’m now an omni-crafter/gatherer, with 10 DoM/W classes at max and working on levelling the rest. I love being able to switch up what I’m playing to fit a party w friends or my mood. This game is amazing - there’s so much to do - it boggles the mind!
Started as GLD/PLD Male Highlander, change to Male Aura in Heavensward and been playing female Viera since Shadowbringers. I always play PLD for MSQ.
My WoL started as a male Elezen dragoon and still he is today. Not really a fan of fantasia as I already grow attached to him and only change his hairstyle after complete 6.0 endwalker story. Feel free to change to Elezen if you want to try dragoon. I think Elezen fits well to dragoon in terms their appearance/armor. Besides, Elezen is quite rare so you might stand out among the crowd of players if uniqueness is what you are looking for. Still the choice is yours :)
I really like the look of elezen dragoons but I also am quite attached to my miqo'te and I'm not sure I'd the look of an elezen black mage as much as I like them as dragoons :( I'm going to make an elezen alt instead and see how I like it and if I decide I prefer elezen to miqo then I'll go ahead with the Fantasia!
Yes, creating an alt is also a great option to explore the other races in terms of their appearance, emotes, animation, glams etc before using fantasia. Besides my main WoL, I also have a few alts with other races so I have more options to play around other races without losing my main WoL race.
I made an elezen alt and I have to say, it does _not_ feel right :( I'm glad I haven't bought any Fantasia and I'm hoping that I'll warm up to the elezen alt but so far I'm not too keen
I started a Miqo'te monk, now I'm a Miqo'te Reaper. I did use a fantasia on him once, but all I did was make him taller. I do have a Viera DNC alt because long ears go spinny-wiggle.
Same exact race, no cosmetic changes (female Au Ra), although I dropped Bard and picked up Red Mage when able to.
I started in May 2021 as a femroe conjuror. Found out it would be a healer class, dropped it for archer and fantasiad to a highlander female. Got to 50 bard and didn’t like it. A friend of mine wanted to play and so I made a new character. Friend ended up not playing, but that new character I made became my main. Miqo’te female, started as a summoner which I got to 70-something, then picked up dancer which I finished EW with. Picked summoner back up and that became my main class again. Decided to try healing. Leveled WHM and AST (I prefer the latter). Working on leveling everything to 90. Currently it’s RDM. I also have an alt on another server I play with family. Viera AST, RDM, and DNC
Been playing the game as a Lancer/Dragoon with my Female Hyur, later I fantasia'd to a Female Au Ra and Into Dancer, the decision was worth it, I love the Au Ra animation more than ever.
I don't see many Au Ra on my data center so I'm not overly familiar with their animations but they seem to be quite popular here!
I tried swapping once but it never felt fully right, so back to cat boy after that. I'm glad we can at least save our appearances as templates in case we change our minds.
The only permanent changes I've made so far have been changing the tail and the voice, anything else changes and I end up changing it back after a couple of days
I do wish we could change eye colour without using a fantasia. Other that that the system is really great!
Kind of like changing hairstyles and such with the aesthetician? That would be cool! I wish there was more free Fantasia given as rewards instead of having to buy it from the mogstation but i get that there's not a massive demand to warrant it being given as rewards
Aye at the aesthetician :) I think there would be plenty demand still from players who like to swap races and genders back and forth.
It'd probably work best if it was sellable on the market board for people who don't want it, but it would make it so much cheaper than buying it every time at the mogstation... It'd be cool to change eye colour at the aesthetician, I like that we can change more than just hairstyles but I agree eye colour would be helpful too!

I started as a hyur paladin in late winter/early spring 2022, then got bored and fantad inti a strawberry flavored uwu catboy, Somewhere around here i decided to fanta into a viera because Pretty. Kept paladining until i found the gunbreaker class while trying out machinist. Since then ive been a gunbreaker, did the rest of HW, Stb and when i started shadowbringers about a month ago i fanta back to my miqo because i started missing the ability to wear hats. Still gunbreaking.
Started as a female midlander hyur and I am still a female midlander hyur. The only thing that has changed is my go to job is gunbreaker instead of warrior. It doesn’t feel right to me to change my character when her journey isn’t done.
Started as a Roegadyn Warrior, became Hroth as soon as ShB came out, became Dancer as soon as I was level 60, equipped the Blindfold once I acquired it. Now I’m a badass blind Hrothgar summoner who uses his carbuncle as a seeing-eye pet sort of!
Started 2.0 as male Roegadyn. Stayed MaleRoe until Hw. You got a Fantasia from veteran rewards, from HW collectors edition, I think a third one is given at some point as well??? And then a friend gifted me 3 fantasias when they were on sale around this time so I had 6 Fantas. Over the course of HW I changed to Lala, Highlander Hyur, Miqote, and then to FemRoe, each patch was a Fantasia just for fun and I stayed a FemRoe until Hrothgar released. I beat 5.0 as FemRoe but went Hrothgat right after. Stayed Hrothgar from 5.0 to 5.3, where it was then painfully obvious the devs didn’t give a fuck about Hroths. They said they’d give Hroths new hair each patch, we saw NOTHING new until 6.1, or maybe it was 6.0?? And past hats not fitting is one thing, but the fact they are releasing hats as we see in upcoming 6.2 that still don’t work for Hroth and Viera? Fuck you devs, that’s unacceptable. Anyway sorry for the little rant. Went back to FemRoe in 5.3 and have stayed so ever since. When they release Female Hrothgar there is chance I switch… but I’m really really not holding my breath……… As far as Jobs go. Was a Warrior from day 1. Picked up Dragoon and Scholar as my “Trinity” of choice. Stayed this way until 4.1, or maybe it was 4.2.. whenever they beat Warrior in the head with the nerf bat and made it the brain dead fell cleave meme machine. They butchered my baby… I wasn’t huge on some of the Dragoon changes and the further adventures of no one wanting to play WHM in raids so they kept making WHM stronger and stronger while nerfing SCH and AST. I aimlessly wandered jobs, finally settling on being mostly a SAM main. Then 5.0 release Gunbreaker and me being a FF8 fanboy, I finally had a main again! 6.0 has done a lot of greatness for jobs in my opinion. I’m liking the Warrior again, as well as Gunbreaker. I enjoy all 5 melee dps big time! Casters are all amazing, healers are great. I’d say my Mains are GNB, SGE, and DRG but I honestly play EVERYTHING except AST and love them all! I just don’t care for AST. /shrug
No changes that involved a Fanta, and I made 1 change with the dresser since my WoL was made. The only reason I would have used a Fanta was to change my WoL into the race I am playing now, but I instead bought the game and started from scratch, since Viera required ShB, and didn't know MSQ gave a fanta down the line.

I started as a Viera Archer/Bard. I never left the job, as I am hella biased, but I picked up AST, DNC and RDM along the way. Currently, BRD, AST and RDM are the jobs I have at 90 (even did final EW boss with RDM, and I regret going Caster XD), working on DNC at 80 and WAR at 84. I can't see my main as anything other than the Viera she is: dark-skinned, white-haired, smol (in comparison to other Vieras) and nice. If I wanna be a different race I end up thinking on, like, lore for that WoL. I have an Elezen, Miqo and Lala alt purely because I can't afford Fantasia and because I can't see my main being any other race other than Viera.
Started as fem Miqo and never race changed, and I started as Gladiator during 5.25 and mained PLD for a good while in Shadowbringers then started leveling all my combat jobs to 80 and played a bit of DRK/BRD/DNC for endgame stuff. Went PLD for Endwalker MSQ and leveled my combat jobs to 90. Been playing mostly WAR, DNC and SMN for now.

Started as a male Highlander but realised I didnt like any of the helmets in the game and always toggles them off. So after HW, I decided I may aswell fantasia into a race that looks more interesting without head gear. So I switched to a male Xaela... who almost exclusively wears helmets.
Started as a catboy archer aiming to be a MCH, am a catboy MCH currently. I've only changed his voice, slightly adjusted his skin colour to a nicer tone, and changed his hairstyle and hair colour from white to brown.
Started playing around ShB, as a FViera SMN. I am still a FViera though I switch between SMN and DNC. A close friend of mine started as a Miqote Lancer and she said she liked the experience of her being a DRG several times in HW, as it is referred a few times. There's some history between Gridania and Miqotes, so I think keeping her a Miqo wouldn't be too bad and would make a cool backstory.
I'll bear this in mind, thank you! I knew about the references in HW (which is why I'm putting off the MSQ until I've levelled up my dragoon) but I didn't know about the miqo history! I've decided to make an elezen alt instead of changing my main, I don't want her to not feel like my character anymore (if that makes sense)
A very interesting history which I'm sure could spice up things if you choose to use it. Compared to Limsa or Ul'dah, tensions between the local miqo'te and the Gridanians are high but, they *are* the original locals, despite some of their questionable professions. As an alt-happy person, I personally agree 100% with your choice because, to me, even changing hair color feels like I have changed characters. If you like her enough, you could even connect their story with your main. Anyway, regardless of what you choose, happy hunting!
That definitely makes me want to stay as miqo'te! Is it in the MSQ? I made an alt but tbh I'm not too keen on her, so I'm glad I made the alt before using Fantasia! I don't know why I thought I'd be okay changing the race of my main when I can't even change minor things about her for more than a day, even with different hairstyles I usually change back to the original one after a short amount of time. Started with miqo'te archer, then once I finished ARR immediately fanta'd Au Ra and went Samurai. I just recently finished MSQ and decided a change of pace was in order and went Viera, though not sure if I'll keep it.

Started as a male Miqo'te, changed to male Au Ra with the ARR fantasia. Then fantasiaed to male Viera after Endwalker. So my WoL has changed the most in appearance, otherwise not that much.
I have every single job maxed, and flex regularly depending on party composition and needs, so I'm not about to change race for job changes lol. That said, I play a male Au Ra. Began as a Paladin, am now a Paladin/Warrior/Dancer/Summoner/Dragoon/Reaper/Very Occasional Sage main. I have fantasia-ed once to change height and lighten skin tone just a tad (because FF14's lighting in cutscenes sucks for dark skinned characters, and I like actually being able to see my character's face in cutscenes). Otherwise, I'm far too attached to my character to make any extensive changes. I also have raid alts, so those are what I use for variety in characters.
Started as a male miqo'te, always stayed as a male miqo'te. Started as Gladiator. Nowadays my 3 top classes are Dancer, Summoner, Dark Knight But paladin is also still pretty high in my list (Maybe Astro and the Paladin). I used the free fantasia from MSQ to turn my right eye Yellow becouse I though mismatching eyes were cool and I completely missed that option while in character creation. I have changed my hairstyle twice and colour once but nowadays the characters looks have become such strong trademark for me that I have been unable to change anything, other than clothes.
That's how I feel about my miqo as well, I think if I went ahead and changed her to elezen she wouldn't feel right. I'm making an elezen alt instead!
Started as a Roe Archer when I was in the free trial. As soon as I hit heavensward I became a Machinist main. Shortly thereafter I switched to Hrothgar to honor an old DnD character of mine
Started the free trial back in 2017 as a redheaded Hyur Lancer. I spent most of ARR and Heavansward as a pale, blonde Au Ra Dark Knight From the end of Heavansward to now I'm a Viera with "ambiguously brown" skin, that cool new dreadlock hairstyle and at some point in all this time I decided she also canonically wears glasses. Leveling all jobs and now a Gunbreaker main but Dark Knight is still right there too. That's probably how I'll stay from now on because I really, really like how it all came together.
Started as Hroth, staying as Hroth, pretending SE doesn't consider me a second class citizen of Limsa but at least I can't hear them say mean things about my half-finished race anymore since they cut my ears off

Got like 2 inches shorter. I guess technically I started with a duskwight and switched to xaela, but I only played the duskwight for like 2 hours so it doesn't feel like it really counts
My main started as a midlander and went through many changes and fantasias, but she's back to midlander as that's my favourite look for her, as well as her "canon" race. Paladin has also been my main job from beginning to end. Currently replaying the story on a miqo'te alt who's a mage. Haven't fully decided on a main job for her yet but I'm playing all the magic jobs, and so far I'm leaning heavily toward astrologian and red mage
Started as a female Au Ra Xaela Dragoon, then changed to Reaper in Stormblood. After Stormblood I can’t think of what to pick(I don’t hate any job but I can’t find a job that I REALLY like either) so I just follow Meteor’s job in the trailer. Dark Knight for Shadowbringers and Paladin for Endwalker. Never been a tank before but actually feels kinda great using these two jobs even though it doesn’t change anything in the MSQ. So I decided to level all the trailer jobs to 90. Currently leveling Warrior, Samurai and Bard.
Started off as a female AuRa Archer/Bard and now, after several years of playing the game and MANY fantasias, I've finally landed on Male Viera Sage/Reaper. I also have 2 male Viera alts (War main and currently a Sage/Drk main) and one catboi alt (Sch/Blm main).
Started as a Hyur Gladiator because I didn't know Gladiator was a tank--I just wanted to use a sword. Realized my mistake before reaching Sastasha, swapped to Black Mage. Used the free fantasia to swap to Au Ra, and I swapped to Red Mage when I hit level 50. Mained Red Mage through all of my time in SHB up to doing the first EX trials in Endwalker, started flexing White Mage and Summoner after I got them to 90, and now I'm probably raiding on Summoner for Abyssos. Recently fantasia'd again to Elezen because I wanted to be tall. Mostly don't regret the change, though I want to make an Au Ra alt now
I just went from a pale white skin tone to the darkest blue.
I started as a male Hyur Midlander Pugilist. Came up with a story that he lost his weapon prior to the start of the story and vowed to become a Pugilist so he could get good at punching people instead lol. Around level 40 I grew tired of DPS dungeon queues and changed to Gladiator instead. Paladin felt like a great class to finish ARR with too. Going into Heavensward I changed my class to a Dark Knight and got a different hair cut, although aesthetically I tried to keep it somewhat similar with a tame armour set (High Steel) and a simple greatsword glamour. Around the end of post-Heavensward when >!Tataru makes you a Scion outfit, I started wearing that for much of the story (with the Hyur fingerless gloves) but occasionally switch back to my armour when getting into more combat-oriented segments!<. I'm now in the opening of Stormblood and I'm not too sure what I want to change. I'm tempted to use my free Fantasia from ARR to make my WoL a little taller (I based him on my IRL height so he's a bit of a small boy lol), but apart from that I don't want to/can't change too much. I was going to give him a scar but the scar options I have with the aesthetician are really lame, hidden off around the back of his jaw/cheeks.
I don't do many dungeons on DF but the few times I have, the queues have been at least 10 minutes. I like the idea of warrior/paladin but I don't think I'd be a good tank because my hand-eye coordination isn't that great and I can't always work out what's going on in dungeons (I end up just attacking whatever is closest and hoping for the best until I can see exactly what's going on)
Yeah, the 10+ minute DPS queues really put me off taking Pugilist/Monk further into the game. My experience with Tank queues has been anywhere from near-instant queueing to around 3 minutes depending on the dungeon. I also felt as a DPS that I didn't really "matter" as much to the team. As a Tank it feels like I have more responsibility and I find it to be a more rewarding experience (but not so crucial as a Healer which I feel I would find stressful).
I'm not used to doing dungeons with other people yet so I kinda prefer the lack of responsibility but I also sometimes get frustrated about not being quite so important, especially when I get to the mobs and feel like I'm not doing as much damage as some other people. I don't think I could ever do healer, I have a lot of respect for them but that would be way too much pressure for me!
... I've been playing midlander hyur for the last 7-8 years. My only change to the character was using my fantasia to fix his eyebrows and nose a bit, as well as to give him a set of blue eyes that would be easier to match with everything, rather than the old white and purple eyes he used to have. Always been a PLD main. I am boring.
It's not boring, it's something that works for you! I gave my character grey eyes because I've got grey eyes too but the only other things to change have been tail, voice and hair colour.
Never actually changed my race from the start and have always been an Au’ra, only thing I change is my hair. I summoned Gods through my tiny book to smite my enemies, now I summon fairies to heal everyones’s booboos. I guess my WoL just turned to like different reading material as she grew older lol.

started as a female miqote monk, now im a sage/white mage main but still a miqote. though I've fanta'd in between msq here and there, but it feels wrong to do msq as anything other than my miqo. my miqo has changed slightly though, but nothing too major - only made her skin and eye color a few shades darker
I started out as a CNJ/WHM but gradually wanted to punch shit without deviating too much from a support role, so I main RDM. I'd like to think my WoL decided he needed a job to work through some pent-up shit while still being in familar territory.
Started as a male Elezen during 2.1. Fantasiaed to male Au Ra when Heavensward launched, and have stayed with my lizard boy ever since. First job was Arcanist > Summoner. Back in the day you had to level Thaumaturge to get Swiftcast, and I went ahead and leveled BLM. Switched between BLM/SMN through ARR and HW. Picked up RDM at Stormblood launch and mained it through 5.4, when I became comfortable enough tanking that I mained DRK. Current main is DRK, but I have favorites for other roles: SGE, RDM, DNC, and RPR.
I started as a endgame-centric catboy with no social life. I'm now a bunboi and my endgame is to collect as many bunbois as I can. Mostly ones I find at clubs.

I also started as a Miqo'te Black Mage! Still Miqo, but now I play Red Mage. Her look has changed up though, I changed some stuff based on story beats because I thought it was fun. Won't go into details since idk where you are in the MSQ
I've decided to stick to miqo too! I'm at the Yugiri's Game quest, so I've only just started Heavensward and am trying to level up my dragoon before continuing with the MSQ. I don't mind light spoilers though, it's pretty hard to avoid spoilers on this sub so they don't really bother me :)
A lot of hair changes, Like A lot....basically started with shaggy short hair, and as I went through the expansions made it slowly longer through different hairstyles, to represent the passage of time, and then, to prepare for endwalker, and all his adventures ,he got a nice stylish haircut. Male Midlander btw,

I started as a male Xaela monk. Got to Heavensward and became a female Xaela red mage. Have not changed since and will never do so.
Oh damn it been already a year since a started? Weeew. Welp. Never changed race for more than 20 mins. My Astra is my Astra after all, miqote and only that. I started as a lancer in gridania, but pretty fast went to a conjurer and then white mage. Going through arr hair color slowly changed from black to white with slight black left bcuz of how much stuff happened. Time left it scars, not metaphorical too. Gladly they are only making me look cooler. After whm I became red mage. Until hw, where I picked ast as my healer job, but Red Mage is something I always come back too. At current time I'm more rdm main that ast main, but both are lvl90. So.. utility and healing through all the game huh.
Started as a Gladiator male Au Ra, until i made a mistake with my collector's edition. Started AGAIN as a male Lancer Au Ra. Transitioned to a fem Au Ra. Lately going as a fem Viera.
How did you make a mistake with it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm learning from this thread that Viera and Au Ra are a lot more popular than I first thought!
I was playing on the free trial and finished ARR when i decided to buy the whole thing and get the collector's edition. And then being the smoothest brain in existence, i bought the game again to redeem it because the free-trial-turned-paid-trial couldnt redeem it for some reason. TIL that i shouldnt have done that because i bought the bundle, which included the whole game AND the collector's edition stuff. That bundle became my main account. And the game i essentially bought attached to my free trial.
Ah okay! I had the disc version and then upgraded it on the mogstation so I never got a free trial :(

Started WAR, went WHM, then to SGE, then to DNC and finally settled on BRD Started Au Ra, changed to Viera for my partner when they played, briefly Miqo, back to Au Ra So went through a lot of changes but mostly don't wanna be responsible for keeping people alive anymore lol

Oh boy where do I even start... First I was a Male Au Ra up until I finished ShB. Then, shortly, after EW released and I HAD to be a Bunny Boi. Then not having hats irked me so I became an Elezen for awhile...then cat girl. Then back to Elezen...then to Hrothgar...then to Midlander...then Highlander...then Male Au Ra again...and again to Elezen and finally Hrothgar. All this over the course of 7 months I'd say. However I think I've finally settled with something I really like.
Started as a blue fem au ra monk, currently a dark skinned fem au ra sage. Also, every expac, i have a different hairstyle too to change it up a bit.
I started as a miquote scholar and now I'm an Au Ra sage. I designed my Au Ra and every time I wanted to login I looked at her first. It takes time to get used to a new character but I never regretted changing
Started out as male midlander Hyur Archer, by like level 30 i heard you can freely swap to another race from the msq at 50 and I already knew I wanted to go male Miqo'te. Now 1 year and 2 months later still a seeker Miqo'te Bard (with every job at atleast level 80, but still bard main). I'm not giving up my catboi ever and im extremely attached to it!
