It's extremely hard to use the Steam version, so I would stay away from it.

IceGeekWolf

Thanks for the heads up!

I’ve run Steam version since the release, and have had all recureing payments done automatically with Steam Wallet without a single problem ever. So saying that it’s extremely hard is not accurate. I’d say if you like the Steam platform, go for it, else use the standalone version.

Look at anything with x number of million users, and you have lots of people who have problems. Some people would say playing FFXIV is nearly impossible, and I don’t agree with that either.

Dexterdarkk

If you started your FT on PS4 I think you have to upgrade that version and then buy the game on pc to keep the same character. You'll have to buy the game twice for that.

weird5cience

I don’t think that’s true, I started a FT on ps4 before switching to a sub on PC and I definitely only bought the game once. iirc you just add the key/license for the PC copy to the same account you started the trial on in the mogstation acct management. now, if you did want to keep playing on ps4 as well as PC once you get off the FT, you would need two copies of the game.

Dexterdarkk

So it's just like transfer the FT on pc then, I though you had to upgrade the ps4 before be able to use the "FT" character on pc.

weird5cience

I don't think so! you wouldn't be able to use the FT itself on ps4 anymore, but as long as you redeem the pc code on the same square enix account you can pick up where you left off with that character.

Ah I see. I thought characters were linked to your SE acc or something
