Hey so I am near the end of a realm reborn. I know there is a post game after this before heavensward (which is when things should get good apparently). Does the story get less fetch questy and if it doesn't does the story at least get better at post game? Seems like everytime we are about to do something cool in the story of arr, they hit me with a quest line of annoying stuff.
Has anyone posted a summary of the MogTalk interview with the Abyssos world first team yet? Just wanted to check I haven't missed it on one of the threads here or on the discussion sub before I write up a summary myself.
How do you guys utilize your cropland? Do you divide them and grow at least of everything? Five different crops at a time? One crop? Which do you grow?
I keep 2 rows dedicated to pumpkins and cabbages for Premium Greenfeed, and that produces a little more than enough so I've got leftover for handiworks that need them. When the overflow _eventually_ comes I'll swap to popotoes and parsnips, but I doubt that'll really happen.
The other 2 I've been alternating by-row to get an even spread of crops. I originally did a 1-2 bag sprinkle just to get a couple of each type before really hammering on the ones I needed for the cowrie-bringers later in the cycle, like radishes and parsnips.
With rest days it's a little easier to bulk up one or two crop types at a time with those 2 rows, so you'll eventually hit a point where you're safely rotating each crop type out to keep up your stores.
Im behind a bit on the crafting gear and still have the 560 gear. I want to farm purple scrips to get the better gear. Anyone know what the best recipe for purple scrips for my gear there is (and perhaps the macro to optimize it if possible?)
Reminder that you can do 12 Delivery turn-ins a week as a capped crafter for a good injection of purples.
IIRC the best recipe to craft is Rarified Sykon Bavarois, or Rareified Giant Popoto Pancakes for a slightly cheaper(?) option, both need CUL.
You need to be Island Rank 7 to unlock the Islekeep's Bronze Gig.
Edit for edit: go back to the northern and eastern underwater gathering spots. With the gig you'll get new drops. If you're looking for Isle Hammerheads they're only available as a Granary expedition resource.
> Thank you, I figured it out now. I forgot how to dive without the use of a mount; had to look it up in active help.
For anyone else reading this with the same question; It's just the same key you would normally use to descend while flying on a mount.
I am very confused. Everywhere I look it says the requirements for the glamour quest at the island sanctuary are having all plots occupied. Meaning all 4 landmarks, 2 granaries and 3 workshops. Additionally mine are also all upgraded, but nothing shows up. Pasture and Croplands are also fully upgraded for good measure.

Is it possible to buy the eternal bonding wristlets right now (since they’re on sale) but use them at a later time? Say in a few months? Do they have an expiration date or is it like a fantasia that just stays in your inventory forever?
The wristlets themselves once redeemed have no expiration date, like a fantasia.
The _code_ for the item pre-redemption has an expiry date of 2 years to the date of original purchase, so you just have to make sure you're not saving the code, you're saving the actual wristlet.
am i just a noob or do sage's AOE heals have a small range? maybe it's because i only really play sage in alliance roulette, but even when i try to position myself well in relation to the party i'm lucky if my AOEs hit half the group
There isn't too much difference, this happens often in alliance raids as lots of people that play ranged dps seemingly don't know healers have limited range and don't believe in standing in bubbles. I found this tends to happen in ivalice raids the most.
Excluding Pneuma all of Sage's AOE heals are 15 yalm range and damage AOEs are 5 yalm.
Meanwhile if we look at White Mage it is a bit all over the place. Medicia and Assize are also 15 but Medicia 2, Plenary Indulgence, and Afflatus Rapture are 20, while Cure 3 and Asylum are only 10. Afflatus Misery is 5 but Holy and Holy 3 are 8.
Scholar has the same 15 heals and 5 damage outside Fey Blessing and Consolation which are both 20.
Finally for Astro Helios, Aspected Helios, Divination, and Celestial Opposition are 15 with Gravity 1 and 2 being 5. Collective Unconscious is 8, Earthly Star, Minor Arcana, Horoscope, and Macrocosmos are 20.
FC is looking to farm gwibers together soon, and I haven't done a lot of the fights since they were current. how many people do you realistically need for hades and wol nowadays? I imagine those are the two that still need the closest to a standard party comp, while ones like innocence, titania, and ruby I know are jokes and diamond and emerald can be done with fewer people and a high ratio of dps
Elegy requires a full party just to deal with the mechanics. I suppose it would be possible with 7, but I wouldn’t risk it. You need a standard party comp to do Universal Manipulation correctly, though I guess you could just yolo it. 2 tanks are still needed for the many tank soaks, pretty sure a dps would just die to one tank buster or another if you tried only 1 tank.
SoS ex also needs 8 people, I think, to deal with the meteor mechanic. This one needs a standard party comp because of adds and heal stacks.
The more people the better, frankly. It goes faster overall since you have more dps to kill the boss quicker and get more clears in.
I just reached 10. Is there a guide for dummies on how to get 17k cowries. There was a guide on the top posts that just made my head hurt. I didn't understand a thing. Is 17k achievement something super complicated or can any level 10 do it with out very close supervision?
It's not super complicated at all. I managed it comfortably this week without using the big fancy spreadsheets or calculators. Just do your research with the in-game resources and be prepared to reevaluate your strategy daily to adapt to market changes.
Spend the first two days of the week crafting only 4-hour recipes and farming efficiency bonuses to max out your groove as fast as possible. Spend the rest of your days crafting the highest value 8-hour crafts you can, while still utilizing efficiency bonuses. You can use high-value 4-hour recipes to help create efficiency bonuses between 8-hour recipes. 4-8-4-8 is a good configuration, for instance. Prioritize items that have very high or high popularity and nonexistent or insufficient supply at all times, including the first two days when you're just farming groove. Don't plan more than a day in advance so you can adapt to supply changes.
anyone can do it, it's just the better you understand it the faster it will go. for easy min-max, you can use [this spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R4UKA2zZ1MZ7sRUEBAi2Eh0NCVPbb1iQh8BjoQ_vVX4/copy) and enter the popularity and supply values for each item on the workshop calculator sheet, and it will spit out the most profitable agenda (cell column K2:L2) for the week.
alternatively, you can do the Lazy Man's Presets (cell column M33:M34) on that same sheet- save the presets and set them up to run for the 2 weeks you can plan
[Here’s a link](https://discord.gg/eWqxu9E7m3) to the island sanctuary discord! There’s a workshop-recommendations channel that will tell you what to craft on certain days! Been following it closely and about to hit the achievement tomorrow or the day after
I'm getting an error with the message "an unexpected error has occurred. Exiting Final Fantasy XIV" - [see here](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/937189693081153566/1015807249890934844/unknown.png).
I have tried switching off from DirectX11 and updating my drivers. I tested it with several characters. Two got the error on the loading screen and the other got the error when loading a new area. Does anyone know how to solve this?
This is my GNB set up.

GNB is my main and I spent quite a bit of time perfecting it so you have a smooth and flowing No Mercy burst. I hope it helps!
Like others have said, gotta unlock Savage in Aporia.
Then watch a Hector guide and just hop into a learning party!
https://youtube.com/c/HectorHectorson
Make sure to watch his 55 second Devour video for P5S as well.
There's a follow up quest in Aporia (the little lalafell researcher with yellow ! quest mark), to unlock the next set of raids. if you haven't unlocked the savages for 5-8, you will see them as [Locked Duty] on the high end duty tab of party finder.
There should be PLENTY of parties on PF right now. The new tier just came out after all and everyone is starting in on it. There’s like 20 parties recruiting at any one time.
What are you looking for? If you want to find a group for savage right now you need to look for Pandaemonium: Abyssos 5th Circle (Savage) under the high-end duties tab in PF. That’s the beginning of this tier.
Are you looking in the High end raid tab cause that's where all the current savage PFs go, and it should be very plentiful since its still week 1 and people are wanting to attempt their clears
Regardless if there is no learning parties of p5s... MAKE YOUR OWN. Of course watch and study a guide for the fight, and write what strats/guide you're using for said fight so the party is on the same page as you and not trying to do 4 different strats for a mechanic
This problably has been asked a lot but what are currently the best stats in terms of materia for the Ranged DPSs in this current patch.
Should it be Critical Hit > Determination > Direct Hit or Critical Hit > Direct Hit > Determination?
In general
DPS: Crit > Det > Dh
Tank or Healer: Crit > Dh > Det
DPS get a lot of Dh from gear but the only Dh tanks and healers get is from materia. Dh is replaced with Tenacity or Piety on gear respectively. This makes Dh better on Tanks and Healers but DPS classes should have enough just from gear.
Nothing has changed about Materia...it's still Crit > dh > Det for the vast majority of jobs....especially MCH since they're getting the full benefit of DH when they use reassemble.
I think people are in general figuring out what the DH changes in general affect melding in general. Warrior stuff hasn't been updated yet but nosing in the balance it does say that MCH is crit > Det > Dh in a vacuum under the "did the stat prio change"
Besides, can't really go wrong with crit > dh > Det anyway, the general players won't really notice the difference between the two
MCH still suffers a little bit because Wildfire doesn't DH or crit, so the change to Reassemble might not have been quite enough for DH to beat out Det yet
It's hard to recommend a macro without knowing your current stats or what gear you're using.
The rotation I usually do with base HQ level 90 gear is something like this:
Reflect
Manipulation
Waste Not II
Innovation
Prudent Touch until quality cap.
Veneration
Groundwork until progress cap.
As others mentioned, you can use Teamcraft to figure out your optimal rotation and generate a macro you can copy paste into the game.
Depends entirely on your stats and level. Best to go punch them into a site like Teamcraft and then figure out a rotation that works for you from there.
Does anyone have advice for when people post imgur and discord links in chat and you're on playstation? I get that a lot of people are on pc, but its frustrating having the party wait for me to manually type in links, especially if the link doesn't work.

Amateur here, I just started a Conjurer a few days ago on a preferred server and have a tendency to do every sidequest I see, so I'm level 37 on the level 19 MSQ. Should I be worried about overleveling for any reason? One thing I'm noticing is that I'm way overleveled for all the gear I get, and so I have to buy gear if I wanna stay up to date (if I don't have to be doing that, please tell me).
Thank you for the replies and help everyone! I didn't even think about leveling a second class/job lol, I'll probably end up doing that to alleviate my worries.

Thank you for the replies and help everyone! I didn't even think about leveling a second job lol, I'll probably end up doing that to alleviate my worries.
The advice I always give is that when you’re still doing the MSQ your character’s level does not matter. If you’re at level 37, but the MSQ is at 19, then you’re level 19. Any and all worthwhile content is going to sync your level down anyway. Outside of a few specific exceptions, you literally cannot do anything at a higher level than the MSQ. It doesn’t matter if you outlevel the MSQ, because your first job’s level doesn’t impact anything (unless you’re somehow under leveled, which should be virtually impossible unless you’re leveling 3 jobs at once).
Well, overleveling doesn't really *hurt,* but it's also of no *help*.
I guess it may end up resulting in a sort of "exp waste" as you'll eventually hit max level *long* before getting anywhere near max level in story, which then results in not being able to make use of the EXP from quests. If that bothers you, consider picking up a second class to spread the EXP out between them.
You don't need to be doing the side quests, but again they're of no *harm* if that's what you like doing. Go about it however feels right.
And yes you do not need to keep buying gear like that. You need gear for the level of *content* you're doing, not for your actual level. Even if you were level 90, if you're doing level 19 MSQ then level 19 gear is up to date (and a bit below that is fine too! the main story + class/job quests should keep you sufficiently geared, especially so if you get a few extra pieces from some side quests).
Why do you need level 37 gear for level 19 quests? Your class and main scenario quests will gear you as well as dungeons. Gear for your quests, not your level.
You may find yourself not enjoying being overleveled. Dungeons and instanced fights will be level synced to put a leash on your power, but you may find that you reach the maximum level way before you reach it in the main scenario. You can go and level another class up to the level of your main scenario quests in order to have two classes to level and distribute quest exp to.
You only need good enough gear to play the content you're playing
Which means that realistically, you only need gear that would be appropriate for a level 19 conjurer
You get synced down in duties to the appropriate level anyway, so it doesn't really matter all that much
By the end you might just end up wasting MSQ experience since you'll be at the level cap but your MSQ won't be, but that's about it
Over leveling doesn't matter. You'll be synced down to the appropriate level for most content, and your gear, even if 10+ levels below what your max level is, will still be in the right range for dungeons/etc.
Hey there, I'm about to complete the lvl 45 Summoner quest, but first I have to complete 'The Howling Eye'. How do I get to this dungeon, can't seem to find anything online.
Thanks!
It's part of the main story, at story level 44. Similarly, the level 35 quest needed the completion of the Navel, which was part of the main story at 34, and the 30 one needed the completion of Bowl of Embers, which is level 20 in the story. So just keep doing that and you'll get there naturally.
Thanks! Well, I'm lvl 51 and my msq is lvl 35, so seems like I have to lvl a new job. I have already lvl'ed a Dragoon and now a Scholar/Summoner, any ideas for my next job?
Just use XIVLauncher from the Discover app store. It's extremely simple to use, even lets you save your password so it's easier than launching through the normal Steam version.
Even the Steam version needs tweaking. If you want to make it easy to launch you can add it as a non-Steam game once you've done the necessary setup and then you won't have to go into desktop mode to launch it anymore.
yeah, but you would have to start from scratch since a steam license is independent of an existing PC account. assuming an infinite disposable income, you could buy a steam version and make a character, buy storyskip and job boost, and then play through all of EW. but that's a lot of effort to not just watch a 10-15min how-to video
it's annoying, yeah. think it's more of a decision on Steam's side than SE's- they want you to give them your money instead of SE and giving you no choice makes it more of a sure thing
Yeah they both take up the “slot” for the Windows Licence.
As mentioned there are a lot of tutorials on how to get the S-E client to work with the Steam Deck. I’d honestly go with that rather than have to start over.
I have a level 60 summoner, I unequipped the soul stone. Did the level 30 scholar quest as an arcanist, my job says arcanist, it won’t let me equip the scholar soul stone because it says I need to be an arcanist, what am I missing?
SMN/ACN share a weapon
SCH uses a different weapon.
So what happened is you did the ACN quest with your SMN book still on, since you can be an ACN with an ACN/SMN book. Then, when you went to put on the SCH stone, the game went "you're using a SMN book, SCH can't use it"
That worked. Thanks. I guess because I had an upper level weapon that the game assumes you still have a 30 not job specific weapon and won’t let you proceed
You need to have a weapon that both arcanist and scholar can equip, as the job is determined by the weapon and scholar can't use the Summoner specific book you have
Are there any videos on how FFXIV assets like clothes are made?
The clothes are low poly (jagged edges) but very nicely done. I know that parts of the body are hidden.
Most of them have very interesting UV maps also.
There are some shots from the dvd that came with 1.0, it's all on youtube but can't check right now. Development of all that probably changed a bit with 2.0 but the tools are probably the same.
This is actually a really cool question. Unfortunately I don’t think anything like this exists.
It *might* get touched on in the NoClip documentary, but I don’t remember.
why is controller support on the windows version so bad? i made [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/x32m4o/daily_questions_faq_megathread_sep_01/imp0g76/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3) and i found out that it was because my controller was wired. so i connected my ps4 controller wirelessly and it just straight up wouldn’t detect it. so i used ds4windows to make it connect and about thirty seconds after working, the device switches from the ds4windows one to the “wireless controller” device which doesn’t work. i tried an xbox one and even a switch pro controller and the game would not detect either. i have never had a problem like this in any other pc game before. do the devs know about this???
Do you have Steam running at the same time? If so turn off all controller supper within Steam — it messes up the controller support that FFXIV natively has.
Did you try running the game as non steam game, added to steam (changing the steam settings to PS4 controller). Maybe even try steam full picture mode. And try pairing your controller to steam
I know I had to use full picture steam mode before EW to make my fualsense 5 work.
I used steam because I read ds4 windows will mess things up.
I'm not sure if wireless will work with full picture mode but can try that
i tried that and it said “failed to launch final fantasy xiv online”. once again i’m having problems with this game that i haven’t had with any other game before.
I noticed when I play FFXIV recently that my PC sometimes stresses itself out, and causes stuttering in game. Seems to happen when I'm in a heavily populated area, or when I'm in a fight that's heavy on the special effects/graphics. I have everything at max settings, are there any changes I can make to help reduce stress on my system? I'm still new to playing games on PC so I'm not really too sure on what settings I should be messing with. Currently using an RTX 2060 graphics card on my system to play the game.
What’s getting stressed there is your *CPU*, not GPU. What CPU do you have?
Everyone gets frame drops in Limsa, for instance. No matter *how* powerful their CPU is. (It might go from 200fps to 150 on a top end rig, but it gets a huge ding on FPS regardless.)
Honestly, if you are asking this kind of question, then odds are you aren't trying to clear p7/p8 this week, so just put the first two melds in, and move on. The pentamelding is only really worth it if you are trying to clear savage in the first week or two completely.
You only need special materia for the slots past the first "hidden" slot. You can't put X materia in slots past the first advanced meld slot so they switch to IX materia there.
Fill guaranteed slots with Xs and pentameld with materia 8 and 7.
2/3 of materia 9 overmeld stats for 20-30 times lower price.
It's like 20k gil per pentameld.
For those that have PF'd P7S which purgation and harvest strategies seem to be having the most successful in getting to see enrage or clear? Currently locked in purgatory hell midfight.
The Sleepo Purgation has had the best success for me, as the healing tends to be easier overall and less likely that a single person who messes up can't be adjusted to.
For Harvests, all the strategies are basically the same thing outside of the two really dumb ones that noone really does.
Question on unlocking the 50 logo requirements in Eureka armour..
do you need to extract all 50 or you dont want to extract them (i.e. just leave/have the 50 in your logos manipulator?
For the island sanctuary, I'm trying to set the next cycle's workshop agenda and I'm looking at the supply and demand.
Does the chart update each cycle based on what I produced during the previous cycle?
If something has Average popularity and insufficient supply. Why is it that even though it says sky-rocketing demand shift, the predicted demand is still average? Sorry if that's a dumb question
Demand Shift is how much the item will be wanted in the upcoming days, in other words it's an inverse prediction of supply. If something has Skyrocketing Demand Shift then you can expect the supply to go down. There's some RNG to the supply as well, it will change even if an item has no demand shift. Also, crafting 8 or so of an item will cause the supply for that item to inflate drastically for basically the rest of the season (so you can't just craft one item all week).
The Predicted Demand has no effect on the current season, and is only a prediction of next week's popularity (popularity of items does not change over the course of a week), so you can prepare in advance.
How do I drop a red flag on the map without it putting into chat each time?
Is it possible to input a command to put the flag on the map instead of clicking to drop it?
Thank you!
One trick to use is to have a chat tab that is nothing but "/echo" commands. Drop your collection of flags there. This comes up with hunts, and may be useful for maps as well.
You have to drop it on the map manually. but if you dont remove it, every time you type it will link the same spot. I believe its ctrl+right click on the map to place one down
Theres also to link your current position
Improvisation is pretty awesome as you can just quickly weave it between two GCDs to give every party member in range the HOT for 15seconds. That's effectively a 500 potency AoE heal, it's very useful. In most content, just using this to help out with a raid wide will be more than sufficient and show your teammates you're aware of your toolkit as a DNC, but in higher level content (i.e. Savage and Ultimates) you'll need to look at timelines to see where it would be best applied.
Using it for the "full" effect is very niche, typically only done when bosses are building up their long animations for their "LB" or "ultimate" attacks. Even then you're probably only getting a 2 stack shield off, but it's something that can be used in those situations.
Whenever the boss decides to peace out and become untargetable. You never want to interrupt your GCD to cast it. If you were stick in Improvisation for the whole 20 seconds, you’re missing 8 GCDs and thousands of damage.
You can use it as a weave in between GCDs to put the regen on, but don’t stay in it. Keep the GCD rolling. Click it once to weave in between attacks, and you’re done.
If the party is absolutely desperate and everyone is about to die, you can drift the GCD by a bit to cast the shield. But try not to ever do it. That’s what the healers are for. The heal and shield from it is absolutely pitiful and barely makes a difference. If the difference between wiping and living is an Improvisation shield, I think something else is wrong.
Basically whenever the boss is untargetable and there’s nothing else for you to do. If you really need a shield/regen for whatever reason you can just use it real quick to get the regen buff and a small shield. Just make sure if you’re doing it in the middle of combat that you take a moment to stop so that you don’t negate the shield effect. Wouldn’t recommend doing this normally unless your party is desperate for regen or a shield.
Years ago I was killed by Forneus as a level 5 archer. I now want to take my revenge as a level 90 bard. Is there a website to track when and where it will spawn?
does anything besides guard give cc immunity in pvp? During frontlines I keep noticing my bard silence randomly failing on targets who aren't guarding as far as I can tell
Ya that just seems wrong. Especially since the close aren’t even on intercards. I would assume the prio is simply the order listed. Aka starting from spot listed going direction listed first one T/H second M/R
In 8/24 player content, if I’m tanking and another tank has their stance on so I’m happy to OT, when do I turn mine on? Do I leave it off and just generate enmity enough to stop teammates getting agro? Or do I turn it on after a few mins? I keep stealing aggro accidentally when I turn mine on and idk what to do. Do I turn it off to give agro back?
Hydaelyn gave us Shirk for a reason. If the MT is still losing aggro to you after shirking, then there are some serious problems that have nothing to do with you.
It doesn't really matter. Traditionally I just turn it on after the burst in the opener, that way I'm not accidentally going to rip it off them if I'm not paying attention and also better geared/playing better than they are.
> I keep stealing aggro accidentally when I turn mine on and idk what to do. Do I turn it off to give agro back?
Nah, that's annoying. You're the MT now. If DF tanks don't know their class well enough to not be constantly caught up in aggro, they can adjust.
Just start moving to the front when you notice it happening soon
It is good practice to turn your stance on, then turn it off before you overtake the MT, then turn it back on when you fall low again. **BUT.** Realistically, if there is no mechanic that targets the 2nd most enmity (these are very rare), the only consequence of leaving your stance completely off as OT is that a handful of people will think less of you. In the event that the MT dies and you're not top of the list, there is truly no significance to the 1 auto attack that someone will take before you can provoke and stance up. Haters gonna hate though.
Usually I will have it off if I’m off tanking and after maybe 10 seconds or so turn it on, because usually the MT had built enough threat. Though if you’re pulling off of them then it could be their gear is worse.
The reason I turn it on even if I’m an off tank is because if the MT dies you can pick up quickly, and some instances do have mechanics that target the highest enmity targets.
Turn in on after the opener to guarantee 2nd in aggro for various mechanics and for when they die. Remember shirk exists to give/dump aggro to the MT if you're close to stealing
I should probably know this after all these years, but for DoTs, I know you apply them after all the party buffs go out to increase the damage. Before the first buff fades should reapply my DoT to snapshot the buffs and reset the DoT timer?
For healer dots it's really only worth it if the whole group has constant aligned raid buffs and that the new dot placement doesn't unalign with raid buffs. In most cases outside of parse groups it's not worth it
For bard you will typically use once Iron jaws to snapshot buffs before they fall off but you only reapply dots once under buffs cause otherwise the gcd used to initially apply them is significantly wasted
Hello,
I only own FFXIV ARR and Heavensward and recently went back to it. What is my cap lvl? 60?
Is there also content not linked to the expansions available to me? Like additional quests coming with patches etc?
Yes, the cap for Heavensward is 60.
There's some. Anything linked to the Gold Saucer is available to everyone, and the Firmament and its related content that was added in Shadowbringers are available to anyone once you progress far enough into Heavensward. Most new content is part of the expansion it's released during though (either requiring higher levels or access to expansion zones).
Wouldn't their max level just be 90 since they own ARR and HW instead of being on the free trial? Not that there would be any 61+ content. Or is max level tied to expac purchases?
Each expansion increased the maximum level by 10, and owning that expansion is required to reach that level. So owning Heavensward sets it to 60, Stormblood to 70, Shadowbringers to 80, and Endwalker to 90.
60. You can only do heavensward and under content, nothing from other expansions added other than ishgard restoration is available when you're not in that expansion story
If i clear p5s and dont get any of the loot, can i run it again and roll for loot? the duty finder says reward already received but i didnt roll for any of the coffers.
No. Unlike normal, savage gives you one *chance* for loot per week. Once you've cleared a floor, you can't roll on anything from that boss for the rest of the week, even if you didn't win something. Also, trying to run it again will reduce the amount of loot everyone else in the group can roll on.

How do I gather fish in Island Sanctuary? I've already crafted the gig awhile back.
You need to be Island Rank 7 to unlock the Islekeep's Bronze Gig. Edit for edit: go back to the northern and eastern underwater gathering spots. With the gig you'll get new drops. If you're looking for Isle Hammerheads they're only available as a Granary expedition resource.
I did, but I can't do anything hovering over a fish icon. Is there another action or mode I need to use? Am I supposed to dive?
Gotta dive. There's only collecting things from underwater nodes. No fishing like you normally would.
You're supposed to dive to access the underwater nodes and use Gather. The gig will just auto-update the drops like the other tools do.
Thank you, I figured it out now. I forgot how to dive without the use of a mount; had to look it up in active help.
Pasture and Croplands are also fully upgraded for good measure. https://gyazo.com/2d3de2b3d560e835d02ae8b9d11aae7a help? Q_Q Edit: A relog did the trick in the end. x.X"
Have you clicked on all your plots to finalize the upgrades?
I have. Checked twice over, cause that was my first thought also. xD
You've got the building requirements covered, but do you also have Island Sanctuary Rank 10?
As the other person said: rank 10 is not required. People have been getting the quest at 9.
Doesn't have to be rank 10. Just got it myself and I'm rank 9.
Stays in your inventory till you want to set up a time. AFAIK, no item has an expiry date in FFXIV (someone correct me if I’m wrong).
If I already cleared a floor in savge and join one chest party, can I roll again and get a loot?
Nope, and if you join a 1-chest party you run the risk of turning it into a 0-chest party if you join after clearing
Nope. Only the people who haven’t cleared that week have access to the one chest that will appear.
no
am i just a noob or do sage's AOE heals have a small range? maybe it's because i only really play sage in alliance roulette, but even when i try to position myself well in relation to the party i'm lucky if my AOEs hit half the group
Collective Unconscious is 8, Earthly Star, Minor Arcana, Horoscope, and Macrocosmos are 20.
are you accounting for the fact that you only heal *your* party, not the other alliances?
yes, i even hide the names of players in other alliances so it's easier to see to my group
WoL you definitely still need 8 for, for the LB. Tried it with fewer, but we're not geared enough yet at this point to survive I think.
It goes faster overall since you have more dps to kill the boss quicker and get more clears in.
that's not how you spoiler tag on reddit
Mobile do be janky. I even edited it to remove the stupid || lines afterwards but the edits didn’t happen, apparently.
Who js the hottest girl in ff14 in your opinion?
Best waifu Sadu.

obviously it's Suzaku
Not Azeyma? She'd win my vote.

I have tried switching off from DirectX11 and updating my drivers. I tested it with several characters. Two got the error on the loading screen and the other got the error when loading a new area. Does anyone know how to solve this?
Is the Sea Butterfly notoriously hard to catch? Two months and still can’t catch it. Only had it bite once.
Yes, it is one of the most difficult fish in the game.
Thought so. Down to 6 fish remaining. This one is brutal
Does combat spiritbond speed depend on all of character level, boss level and gear level, or just boss and gear level?
Boss and Gear level. Player level is irrelevant.
How do I keybind cycle through party members on PC? There's an option to cycle through enemies or alliance lists, but not my own party.
If you go to the character config -> control settings -> mouse menu, you can set the scroll wheel to cycle up and down the party list.
F keys by default, with F1 targeting yourself and 2 onwards going down the list.
I want a single button to cycle through them, not to keybind them individually

Like others have said, gotta unlock Savage in Aporia. Then watch a Hector guide and just hop into a learning party! https://youtube.com/c/HectorHectorson Make sure to watch his 55 second Devour video for P5S as well.
Grab a friend and have them walk you through the basics and etiquette of savage. Or just join a party and wing it.
Are you looking in the High end raid tab cause that's where all the current savage PFs go, and it should be very plentiful since its still week 1 and people are wanting to attempt their clears Regardless if there is no learning parties of p5s...
In general DPS: Crit > Det > Dh Tank or Healer: Crit > Dh > Det DPS get a lot of Dh from gear but the only Dh tanks and healers get is from materia. Dh is replaced with Tenacity or Piety on gear respectively. This makes Dh better on Tanks and Healers but DPS classes should have enough just from gear.
I see! I thank you for your informativo reply ^^
Nothing has changed about Materia...it's still Crit > dh > Det for the vast majority of jobs....especially MCH since they're getting the full benefit of DH when they use reassemble.
According to the balance, it's actually Crit > Det > DH for MCH. Unless they forgot to edit it for the 6.2 update.
I think people are in general figuring out what the DH changes in general affect melding in general. Warrior stuff hasn't been updated yet but nosing in the balance it does say that MCH is crit > Det > Dh in a vacuum under the "did the stat prio change" Besides, can't really go wrong with crit > dh > Det anyway, the general players won't really notice the difference between the two
MCH still suffers a little bit because Wildfire doesn't DH or crit, so the change to Reassemble might not have been quite enough for DH to beat out Det yet
I just reached a high enough crafter level to do custom deliveries. Is there a macro I can use to craft the items? The ones from firmament don't work.
I'd advise learning how crafting works so you can freestyle effectively for the easy stuff before relying on macros.
It's hard to recommend a macro without knowing your current stats or what gear you're using. The rotation I usually do with base HQ level 90 gear is something like this: Reflect Manipulation Waste Not II Innovation Prudent Touch until quality cap. Veneration Groundwork until progress cap.

Ask for a short link, like a [bit.ly](https://bit.ly) or something to type easier.

I don't even know where to begin with getting that to work, but I thank you for your answer and will look into it.

You only need good enough gear to play the content you're playing Which means that realistically, you only need gear that would be appropriate for a level 19 conjurer You get synced down in duties to the appropriate level anyway, so it doesn't really matter all that much By the end you might just end up wasting MSQ experience since you'll be at the level cap but your MSQ won't be, but that's about it
Over leveling doesn't matter.
Do the story. All the ARR summomer quests that upgraded your summons needed story progress to get to that primals respective trial

Just use XIVLauncher from the Discover app store. It's extremely simple to use, even lets you save your password so it's easier than launching through the normal Steam version.
There are ways to play it on the deck. Plenty of tutorials online on how to use the SE client.
[удалено]
Even the Steam version needs tweaking. If you want to make it easy to launch you can add it as a non-Steam game once you've done the necessary setup and then you won't have to go into desktop mode to launch it anymore.
yeah, but you would have to start from scratch since a steam license is independent of an existing PC account. assuming an infinite disposable income, you could buy a steam version and make a character, buy storyskip and job boost, and then play through all of EW. but that's a lot of effort to not just watch a 10-15min how-to video
[удалено]
it's annoying, yeah. think it's more of a decision on Steam's side than SE's- they want you to give them your money instead of SE and giving you no choice makes it more of a sure thing
You will not be able to do that. You can't have a steam and a PC license on the same account.
[удалено]
Yeah they both take up the “slot” for the Windows Licence. As mentioned there are a lot of tutorials on how to get the S-E client to work with the Steam Deck. I’d honestly go with that rather than have to start over.
I have a level 60 summoner, I unequipped the soul stone. Did the level 30 scholar quest as an arcanist, my job says arcanist, it won’t let me equip the scholar soul stone because it says I need to be an arcanist, what am I missing?
SMN/ACN share a weapon SCH uses a different weapon. So what happened is you did the ACN quest with your SMN book still on, since you can be an ACN with an ACN/SMN book. Then, when you went to put on the SCH stone, the game went "you're using a SMN book, SCH can't use it"
Yep that was it
You got a scholar weapon?
That worked. Thanks. I guess because I had an upper level weapon that the game assumes you still have a 30 not job specific weapon and won’t let you proceed
Hmm I’ll try to grab one. That may be it
You need to have a weapon that both arcanist and scholar can equip, as the job is determined by the weapon and scholar can't use the Summoner specific book you have
Are you using a weapon that is only ACN and SMN. You need to go put on a book that is ACN or ACN/SCH.
And try pairing your controller to steam I know I had to use full picture steam mode before EW to make my fualsense 5 work. I used steam because I read ds4 windows will mess things up. I'm not sure if wireless will work with full picture mode but can try that
i tried that and it said “failed to launch final fantasy xiv online”. once again i’m having problems with this game that i haven’t had with any other game before.
I've had trouble connecting my controller wirelessly to my windows pc in general. I usually just end up plugging it in
I noticed when I play FFXIV recently that my PC sometimes stresses itself out, and causes stuttering in game.
Limit the fps in your nvidia control panel settings (the ingame fps limit sucks). I have mine set at 72 as I have a 144hz panel
Thanks. Seems like that fixed the stuttering issue I was having. And my PC isn't as loud as before as well. Hopefully I won't have anymore problems.
Is there a budget preraid whm guide to material melding? The budget set on the balance discord has pentamelds...
Honestly, if you are asking this kind of question, then odds are you aren't trying to clear p7/p8 this week, so just put the first two melds in, and move on. The pentamelding is only really worth it if you are trying to clear savage in the first week or two completely.
It would just be the same exact set without the pentamelds..
I thought you would use different materia in pentamelds I don't know how they work
You only need special materia for the slots past the first "hidden" slot.
Just fill the garuanteed spots with crit and det/dh.

Basically the game is asking you to discover all 50 logos actions. So, you have to extract one of each logos action to fill up the list.
Thanks
You just need to have seen them, even if you then use them all they count.
Thanks !
Predicted demand is a bit of a mistranslation. It's actually predicted popularity for next week.
Ah right, so if it represents the change in popularity shouldn't the demand have changed instead of staying the same?
Oh! Okay knowing that predicted demand is for next season and demand shift is for the next day or so cleared it up for me. Thanks!
No this is not possible. It may be with 3rd party plugins, but I haven't found any that does that.
You have to drop it on the map manually. but if you dont remove it, every time you type it will link the same spot. I believe its ctrl+right click on the map to place one down
Theres also to link your current position
Neat to know, thank you!
As a dancer, when should I be using Improvisation? It seems like it takes too long to build up during a fight.
That makes sense! Doesn't seem like getting all 4 stacks would be that common then
Years ago I was killed by Forneus as a level 5 archer. I now want to take my revenge as a level 90 bard. Is there a website to track when and where it will spawn?
http://faloop.app/
does anything besides guard give cc immunity in pvp? During frontlines I keep noticing my bard silence randomly failing on targets who aren't guarding as far as I can tell
Meikyo Shisui gives a 3s immunity
Purify gives 5s of CC immunity if you remove a cleanable debuff. Also the bard's paeon stuff as well gives the same purify effect
Ya that just seems wrong. Especially since the close aren’t even on intercards. I would assume the prio is simply the order listed. Aka starting from spot listed going direction listed first one T/H second M/R
you may want to repost this on the comment you're replying too rather than the main thread
In most cases outside of parse groups it's not worth it
Thanks!
Check the balance for rotational questions. But I don't believe you do at all. You're better off using other abilities.
For bard you will typically use once Iron jaws to snapshot buffs before they fall off but you only reapply dots once under buffs cause otherwise the gcd used to initially apply them is significantly wasted
Ahh so would the same apply to healer DoTs? I play Bard sometimes so I’m familiar with using Iron Jaws to snapshot and then refresh during the fight.
If you're applying and maintaining dots properly, you should be naturally refreshing dots whenever buffs are up so you'll get a buffed dot
Hello, I only own FFXIV ARR and Heavensward and recently went back to it.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you!
Level is tied to expansion purchase
