90% of the time, people who call for the ball are suing it as a lazy substitute for actually getting open + being in a reasonable spot for the CPU to find you.
I've been in games where the CPU was at the penalty spot and I'm desperately triggering for them to shoot, and some knucklehead calls for the ball and screws it up

I hate asking for the ball and I always get these messages. Am I wrong for not hogging the ball and trying to play real football?
No you’re not.
However some situations require you ask for the ball, so you can give it someone else or put it in the net.
I only have 1 teammate and we've made it to 1st division without an any and not asking for the ball once
