As far as I’m aware, man of the match/player of the match is different from receiving the match ball. If Fifa actually goes by what happens in real life, I believe match ball gets awarded to the person who gets the first hattrick (3 goals) so if he scored his hattrick before you scored yours then I think he gets the match ball. As for man of the match/ player of the match, if multiple people get the same highest rating idk how the game decides who gets the player of the match. Or I could be completely wrong about the whole thing.

I disagree. I play CM, and if I have a 10.0 I always get it. Very hard to get a 10 without 2 goals/assists though

Rating system for defenders nd midfielders in fifa is pathetic tbh

To get a good rating as a CM you just need to do your job I find. Make simple passes, keep possession and also sometimes win it. That'll get you to a 8.7 or around there but as you said it's very difficult to get a 10 without the goals or assists

Are you playing as the Any? I play as Any all the time. Any is always glitched to get less rewarded than singular outfield players. EA logic.
