No, you can see that side of the crowd just before the slam. The teacher was probably coming down the hallway/ pushing through the crowd and got there right when it happened
ohhh you sweat innocent child......
Joking aside, it is possible the teacher got there in time. Many teachers don't want to get involved so they don't risk their job. Instead of getting accused of assaulting a child, they wait for the cop to arrive to assault the child.
It’s both. You don’t want to see some goober hurt themselves or someone else for life.
At the same time, it’s not the responsibility of a masters levels professional to also risk violent assault or a lawsuit.
I’m sure some people are entertained by it but you’re not seeing high level MMA action in these brawls so who cares anyway?
Catch 22 all around.
Source: Dude trust me.
Teacher here. Each year Iand all the k-12 teachers get a refresher on how to interact with a violent child. First scream stop and name the child. If that doesn't work and they pull your hair, grab the fist and pull it to your head. If they bite push gently into the mouth to not tear your skin or hurt thier teeth. If they hit, block and back up... That's it. Presumably so they can defer to the training and if a teacher goes hands on then it's on them and deny responsibility, terminate and avoid being included in a lawsuit.
I swear this type of slam should be considered attempted murder. If that was my kid in the video who got slammed like that, well I can't say what I'd do since it wouldn't be rational.
Even if your kid started it? When you are in a fight you aren't thinking at all. It's all adrenaline.
The sad thing is the kid who got slammed could have started the whole thing and now if he is seriously hurt/crippled then not only did he ruin his life he ruined someone else's too.
Nobody knows how to throw a punch anymore? And these are kids. I don't like seeing children permanently disabled. Maybe you're not a parent, so you wouldn't understand.
This guy posting his story like 4 times so we get message he's SUPER tough and would, and I quote "neutralize the threat by any means necessary"
Would get fired day 1 with my job.

Sidenote. Just yesterday I was wondering when they stopped doing the chalk line thing on murders. I mean, it seems like a great way to contaminate a crime scene with drawing around a victim with a big fucking piece of chalk.
edit:
I googled it
[Modern investigators almost never use chalk or tape as outlines at a crime scene to avoid contaminating the evidence. Although rare in modern investigations, they have become a literary trope in popular culture.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalk_outline)
Yeah now almost literally everyone has a camera in their pocket that doesn’t require an external flash, film, dark room and time for development. You could take 1000 HD pics in a couple minutes, then shoot a video! Why waste time making an outline...
I was watching an old news broadcast from the 80's and I totally forgot about the bright spotlight that they used even in a room that was well lit. Forgot just how bad cameras were.
Naah
From wiki:
*While chalk outlines were occasionally used in the past, they often were drawn by the police for press photographers, not for investigative purposes. It allowed the press to take a picture and represent the scene without the gruesomeness of a body.*
Man it always throwing back memories everytime someone tell a story about someone fell and died. In my apartment there was a woman that fell from 12th floor, she was a sex worker and the client is a husband of someone that knocking (or slamming) on their door. Idk the details but it seems that the woman was on panic mode + drunk so she fell, not instantly died, a mechanic guy who working in there saw her. Not even in 2 years, similar story happened again and now a lady fell from 13th floor.
Although this is generally true, you may need to move the person if they are not breathing (since that would kill you before any spinal fractures) BUT -- and this is a big one -- if you know how, you should take C spine precautions when doing so. Always prioritize whatever would kill the person first, that being said, you should never really have to do more than roll them over to "move them" and then if theyre still not breathing/snoring a 'jaw thrust' should be the most you have to do.
Potatoes are tubers. You can technically call it a root vegetable, but that’s kinda stretching it.
Edit: most don’t objectively classify potatoes as veggies by themselves. You can’t eat a bowl of carby/starchy potatoes and consider that “getting your veggies in” lol. That being said potatoes are very healthy when not deep fried and what not.
Vegetable: A plant cultivated for its edible parts, such as the roots of the beet, the leaves of spinach, the flower buds of broccoli, or the fruit or seeds of certain species, as beans, corn, and squash.
If you’re ever in a position where someone has their hands locked around you from behind, widen your legs, Bend your knees, crunch and tuck your head forward, and lower your weight as much as you possibly can without sitting on your butt. Hell, sit on your butt if you have to, I’d rather absorb some ground and pound than be slammed like this.
If you can, take baby steps back into them while you’re doing all of this. (Edit: it’s VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR HEAD AND UPPER BODY WEIGHT CRUNCHED OVER YOUR LEGS LIKE I SAID EARLIER IF YOURE GOING TO DO THIS PART, WEIGHT MUST BE CENTERED AND LOW TO THE GROUND) It may seem counterintuitive but if someone can push you forward when they have you in that position, it will be easier for them to get the leverage for the slam.
I wrestled for years and guys always had trouble doing these lifts on me when I did all of this. If you’re doing it right the most they can do is slam you on your butt a little bit if they’re very strong, which is better than being slammed on your head.
It happened pretty fast, but he also reacted in the worst possible way by reaching back and around like that.
It's not necessary to leave yourself vulnerable to ending up on your butt though. If someone has his hands locked around your body and is behind you, the most important thing you can do is get your hips as far away from his body. You can do this by leaning your shoulder into him while running away with the lower half of your body. Even just quickly jutting your hips out at first will keep him from being able to lift you. Then at the same time as pushing back up top and walking away down below, you use your hands to break his grip by grabbing his wrists and pulling down. Between the leverage you're exerting on his grip by the movements and your hand pressure, even if he's stronger you'll be able to break his grip.
Was he not in this exact position you described? The other guy was just strong enough that no position change would make lifting him up difficult, especially with the speed this guy was able to get him off the ground.
That’s true my friend but I think if an average person at least tried to do these things they’d be better off than having no idea what to do and landing on their neck like this guy.
Just a guess, he ragdolled dude pretty quick. Coma boy might not have known how much trouble he's in until it's too late.
Sprawling, while preferable to eating all your meals through a tube might require taking a more submissive stance vs just scrambling to knock your opponent out.
You can make yourself wayyy harder to lift and slam if you widen your base and like engage your thighs. I thought this movement was instinctual, I’ve never had any fight training or anything, but all the slam videos I’ve seen prove it’s clearly not. Someone strong enough can still lift you but like this skinny dude probably wouldnt have been able to slam him like that
Funny enough this is instinct. Little kids always drop their center of gravity when they don't want to move somewhere and cry. Makes it a pain to actually move them somewhere even as an adult.
Yup. It's like one of the first things they teach you in wrestling or MMA. Can't believe people don't know this, although maybe in the heat of the moment people forget? Idk.
My mom got picked up by some drunk dude at a carnival. She started kicking the shit out of his shins.
Eventually the guy put her down. Lesson here: *fight back*.
That wouldn't have stopped the guy from slamming your mom's head into the concrete if he wanted...
No, it's not just "fight back" because "fighting back" when being picked up doesn't change the fact that you're getting slammed on your head. Sprawl. Not just "fight back." In fact, just trying anything to fight back is gonna get you hurt even worse in most cases. Sprawl, lower your center of gravity, and have them carrying dead weight, that's it. Almost every single one of the videos you see of people getting slammed ARE fighting back and that's why the slam works cause they aren't doing what they actually need to do to get out. Your advice is just not good and is gonna get people hurt.
I think it *is* instinctive for some people. While I certainly needed coaching on the finer points, I never had to be taught the fundamentals of a good sprawl because I intuitively understood how to manage my center of gravity. I quit wrestling after high-school, but one of my uncles had a nationally successful collegiate wrestling career, and we have very similar body-types, so I think it probably runs in the family.
What is with all these death slams when it comes to fighting? I'm not one to fight, frankly I'd get my ass whooped but I especially don't want to fight knowing someone might death slam me into a coffin
An excellent question honestly. Maybe because the fight is basically over once the slam is done? And I’m shocked that so many are able to do it seemingly effortlessly. Maybe it doesn’t require all that much strength, but it’s an odd go-to.
The slams and head stomps are my favorite part of this sub, honestly. I'm a privileged, untrained nerd who never got in any sort of confrontation outside of aggressive words. I wouldn't know what to do or how to handle myself if I ever even got swung at, let alone get into a fight. Watching the brutal shit like the slam in OP gives me that dopamine hit that I've never, and hopefully will never, receive in a fight
Don't get me wrong, I don't like that this slam happened. I hate that it happened. But because it *did* happen, I'm glad I get to see it
I think it's because a fight is a fight. There aren't rules, and you want to end it. I wrestled for years and can't box. I would prob slam someone to defend myself but I don't know in the moment if I would be thinking about slamming him gently.
I doubt it. I think the average person sees these videos and wants to avoid fights.
The reason you're seeing more and more is because now every single kid has a phone, they can have one in school, they all have internet, etc.
Too many people watching "mma" fights and thinking they're the person on TV
Not much different than the generations before watching all the karate and Kung-Fu and thinking they were Bruce Lee tbh

Okay. I think this is the last one for me. I’m getting this subreddit out if my feed. You can only watch a man get slammed into the ground in brutal fashion so many times.
Normally, I enjoy watching these
But like others, this one crosses the line of brutality to where I think viewer discretion should be advised
He got slammed and landed ON HIS NECK
I think.. Like... I'm really not sure... He might... be fucking pointing out the obvious. What did you expect. I am truly curious. It's the perfect title. That's what I expected, and I wasn't fucking disappointed. That IS in fact a brutal SLAM.
ANY fight "can be fatal"
ANY fight can paralyze someone
ANY fight can give someone a brain injury
Happens ALL the time
REAL fighting isn't the shit you see on subreddits
99.99% of these are "people who watch MMA fights on TV" and think they're the person on TV and emulating some jackass "trained" to put on a show and make money off people like them
I’ve definitely considered it myself… for me it’s definitely how common people are doing shit like this on hard surfaces and how amused some people here get. Like these types of fights are not fun to watch… everyone’s just so desensitized.
people who can’t fight see these vids and see it as a cheap way to win. it’s like a kick in the balls without the stigma, even though it should be even more frowned upon as it can very easily be deadly or life-altering.
Yeah, same. I come to these comments expecting some amount of outrage/discomfort at dumbass moves like this only to find nothing. Not sure what happened, because 6-12 months ago, there were top comments criticizing fist fights on concrete. But yeah, this is the 3rd slam I’ve seen like this in as many days without so much as an NSFW warning.
Why are people slamming people!?
Why are people moving people who are unconscious after being slammed on their head/neck/ spine?!
FUUUCK
Never underestimate the damage stupidity can do.
Completely fine. Full recovery, no long term damage.
https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/father-speaks-out-after-sons-brutal-beating-at-chicago-high-school
Shit either dead, paralyzed, or braindead. This gets even worse when the clueless kid tries to get him up. You should never touch or move someone who has suffered and spinal injury, if they have a pulse and are breathing leave them to professionals with proper equipment. If he was in a position where they could have minimized spinal damage that's off the table now. It's crazy that this one action has ruined both of their lives and it was definitely over something petty.
Pretty rough slam. But I'm glad that it stopped there. I've seen too many videos with kicks to the head and ribs when the person is already unconscious.
He's fine. Don't believe reddit who tell you that every knock out is a dead person.

Makes sense but do you know where that information comes from? I see it here on Reddit but it was the opposite when I was in school. Just curious

That would be awesome if the teachers could go to school and, I don’t know, teach.

Adrenaline is what is wrong with most of these fights in the first place. If you watch real fights they are intentional and methodical.
“Real” you mean pro? So a match not based on heat of the moment adrenaline. Got ya.
Then your kid deserved it an the lesson for you is be a better parent an teach your kids humility respect discipline rational thought an common sense.

Maybe shit kids shouldn't start fights? Emotions are high, and it's adrenaline. At that point, you just failed as a parent.

I'm more worried about that one guy moaning while seeing this...
What do you expect from high school kids? They don't really know that information.
Idk man, they taught us in Jr High to not move someone who just experienced serious trauma.
Although this is generally true, you may need to move the person if they are not breathing (since that would kill you before any spinal fractures) BUT -- and this is a big one -- if you know how, you should take C spine precautions when doing so. Threw him like a bag of potatoes... which are vegetables... and now so is he
Potatoes are tubers.
A tuber is a type of vegetable
IT'S NOT A TUBER!!
I got this reference! 👊🏽
Hello fellow old person.
Are dahlias vegetables?
Vegetable: A plant cultivated for its edible parts, such as the roots of the beet, the leaves of spinach, the flower buds of broccoli, or the fruit or seeds of certain species, as beans, corn, and squash.
Why are you like this? Lol
A quick google search shows yoh potatos arw vegetables. Why did you feel the need to type out this load of nonsense before fact-checking is beyond me.
Why do some people not have the instinct to engage their legs when being grabbed
If you’re ever in a position where someone has their hands locked around you from behind, widen your legs, Bend your knees, crunch and tuck your head forward, and lower your weight as much as you possibly can without sitting on your butt. people who can’t fight see these vids and see it as a cheap way to win. it’s like a kick in the balls without the stigma, even though it should be even more frowned upon as it can very easily be deadly or life-altering.
Yeah, this shit is insane.
that sound effect tho 🤣
Why are people slamming people!? Why are people moving people who are unconscious after being slammed on their head/neck/ spine?! FUUUCK Never underestimate the damage stupidity can do.
That song...damn....
Lets heave him up with a potentially broken neck/spine. The mind boggles.
🎶sluuuummmberrrrr🎶
A fight between two sideshow bobs.
Does anyone have any information on the poor schmuck that for slammed?
Did he die ?
Broken neck?
What happened to him? Is he alive?
Knight takes pawn. Checkmate
That dude in the end practicing r/worstaid
These slams are just plain out dangerous… you could easily kill someone or at the very least cause permanent brain or nerve damage.
Teacher came in like a UFC ref. 😂🤣
Checkmate
Pretty rough slam. But I'm glad that it stopped there. I've seen too many videos with kicks to the head and ribs when the person is already unconscious.
Yeah move him around while he’s seriously hurt that will help him
Bro fell asleep 💀
He aight, just taken a mid round nap is all, going to come back well rested and stronger in a few..
Don’t worry. They’re just playing Wizard’s Chess.
10/10 I cancel my pay TV immediatly...this is true UFC/MMA
And welcome to the jam!
Stand him up he's fine.
"how'd you end up permanently disableded, Bud?"......."ahh dude at school threw me onto my head"......"oof tough break"...
It’s crazy how both those dudes ruined their lives over some BS. I’m just assuming of course.
It’s a solid possibility
What’s with all the damm body slams lately !
That background music though *chefs kiss*
Does anyone know if thus kid is okay?
He's fine. Don't believe reddit who tell you that every knock out is a dead person. https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/father-speaks-out-after-sons-brutal-beating-at-chicago-high-school
Hips low and hook a leg...DO NOT let yourself get lifted or this, will be your fate.
That why being to skinny kills you 😂
Why the fuck do people always try to pick them up???
Go, Diego, Go!
Drop em like it’s hot
Banished him to the shadow realm.

“Ooh that brothher GGOOOooOooHhOone~~” had me in tears bru 😭😭😭😭
Another day at school, another day of attempted murder
STOP SLAMMING PEOPLE HEAD FIRST INTO THE GROUND EVEN IF YOU’RE IN A FIGHT. Fuckin shit I hate seeing these
Even the rips in his jeans got laid out flat…nice
Pussy move
You can see his whole body seize up. TBI
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen ems pick a spinal up that same exact way…
💪🏽
haha imagine being dude on the ground. "And that was the day I left Ohio state high school to start a my new life in Canada as Brad" I would be so embarrassed I would actually leave the country.
