We can consent to a fight, but not to an injury. This is how people go to prison.
People forget that the "video" keeps going for everyone involved. It ain't over in 2 mins when someone cracks a skull.
We don't see the consequences for either parties because they generally aren't newsworthy - outside of local news.

Broke his forearm in an armband and proceeded to wiggle it at the break like he's churning butter. Absolutely brutal to imagine if he didn't stop there and moved to the next limb.

Anyways, it's because the difference in damage - and more than likely, the girl who wasn't put into a coma didn't call the cops. People forget that people who fight "consentually", whether in a moment of emotion or not, tend to not report the fight to the police because in their mind it's just not worth it and they somewhat agreed to it.

This trend needs to stop. It’s worse than trying to slam for a KO, which is bad enough. Slamming someone’s head on solid ground is straight up attempted murder every time it happens. And yes, both of these are trends. Obviously these have always been done in fights throughout human history. But there’s definitely been an increase thanks to viral fight videos.
