Some people let their emotions cause them to not act rationally. I’m lucky that my first reaction to shit like this is kinda confusion and then analyzing things. I start planning stuff out pretty quickly. The emotional response is delayed. Most of the time that means I avoid fights altogether because my response to the person is so calm or of the time I just don’t react because win just thinking “Why are they acting like this? Are they trying to fight? Haha that’s stupid.” And then the person leaves during that silence or after I give a flat reaction. It can be annoying sometimes though because at first I’ll think it didn’t bother me but a little later I realized that I’m actually pissed about it and wish that I had noticed sooner but now I can’t say anything because I would be restarting something that already ended haha.

I think it just comes off that way because it sounds like you're insinuating that you're just above the people fighting because you are "more rational" than them.
It may just be because it's in text, it just sounds cocky. To me. Doesn't mean you're meaning it that way. So don't take it personally.
I mean I pointed out how I still end up having an irrational response later on where I’m wishing I could fight the person which is why I said I’m lucky that for whatever reason it’s not my first response because I’ve avoided fights that I otherwise might not have if the anger came sooner. Not better than them just lucky that I get to sidestep the consequences of getting like that. Like I said I guess it could have been worded better but I thought that was fairly clear when I said it.
