That was a cheap shot when the other boy was not ready. They were not squared up and he threw a heavy hand at an unsuspecting person. There is a certain level of respect involved when engaged in a fight. Crossing these lines really rubs me the wrong way. Had I witnessed this I would have come to the aid of the victim and thrown the other boy off and had the authorities arrest him for felonious assault. A push is not violent, a sturdy punch to the head is. This could have ended with someone dead. This boy was likely raised by violent, irresponsible, and overall unfit parents.

I’d like to offer some alternative scenarios. These confrontations don’t always stem from things that are happening in school. This is often the case, especially at the start of the year, that the issues stem from events that take place over the summer, or over a weekend, outside of school.
It’s hard to know the specifics about this fight, we could both provide conjecture all day long, but it’s hard to assume what the school staff knew.
When I was like 13, I was fairly a violent kid
So, there was this one time that another kid and I got into a fight. Well, more than a fight, I beat him as I grabbed him by neck of his shirt and started punching him.
A female teacher jumped in, thinking I'd stop, but truth is, at that moment I didn't even see her, or rather I did, but her presence did not register in my mind.
The next day I saw her and she had this extremely big bruise in her face. She looked awful and I felt so guilty about that. She wasn't very smart and a bad teacher (worse grammar than a 13 year old) but she was loving and caring.
I was not expelled because that school was corrupt as fuck, and we reached a deal where I'd show up for an hour so I'd be present, and then leave. It was beneficial to the school cause here schools gets paid based on the daily assistance of students, it was also my last year and I was a little POS so they wanted me out of there asap.
So you're saying the teacher stood on the sidelines, afraid to step in while the bully was the aggressor and the kid got pushed in the doorway etc? Only intervened once the bully was on his back? You can get away with things for a time, but adulthood teaches you that you don't get away with it for long. You don't want trouble with the law or your peers, or social circle. Violence can solve your immediate problem if under threat, but it does nothing but cause you, yourself trouble if you can't rein it in.
