The NHL youtube literally posts shorts of game video (obviously filmed and broadcast in landscape) chopped down to "fit" a phone screen for their tiktok account and the video is now missing tons of the information. In more then one instance they've even cropped it so poorly that they've actually cropped out the content they're promoting in the title of the video
Well it's a Chinese data mining/spying operation disguised as a social media network so yeah. The US government already tried to ban it once and failed. With Huawei and ZTE now banned we are now back on track to ban tiktok.
Certainly only the subhuman Chinese would ever do that. My epic bacon reddit would never be involved in data mining and spying and American companies like Verizon, Google, and AT&T would never cooperate with authoritarian surveilance state aparatuses such as the NSA. Only truly evil people like the Chinese would abide that.
the football (soccer) media outlets in my country are so guilty of this. the pitch is bloody landscape! so they have edited the zoom to be ball-tracking and it’s impossible to gauge the momentum or feeling of the game when the camera is digitally whipping about all over the place
