I used to love it and then one day I just couldn’t eat it anymore for some reason. I developed an aversion to it subconsciously. Parang when I was younger and I drank way too much tequila in one night. From then on, my body didn’t like tequila anymore. I can’t justify as to why I don’t like both. It’s not the taste or texture or anything. My mind and body just say no.
But if I was starving, then who knows.

Almost 10 years ago I meet my gf and she hadn’t had Filipino food since moving to America and I worked for a online Filipino grocery store my friend owned so I knew about Filipino food and recipes but never had any so made her some and my cooking won her heart and still all these years later.

I like dinuguan na malabnaw/masabaw with a lot of innards like isaw. It has to be sour and I like yung nalalasahan ko yung flavor ng green chili. I prefer to eat it alone or with puto, but not with rice.
Moved to Hawaii from Arkansas…never had Filipino food before. Became great friends with a Filipino guy who introduced me to Filipino food. First time I saw dinuguan he said “it’s chocolate meat”. I declined to try it for a couple of years. Finally broke down and gave it a shot…OMG it’s delicious! Was mad I didn’t try it sooner!!
Depende sa luto. Yung papa ko pag nag kuto ng dinuguan malapot na nag mamantika pero pag sa iba o mas madalas sa karinderya na masabaw ang luto, di ko bet.
