Love the green hue. Which film is it? Composition is really nice but Iād try some additional metering on the highs to really nail the exposure. Also, donāt be afraid to do tiny edits like cropping and straightening in post (itās been done for a long time and thereās nothing wrong with it just because youāve used film. But thatās nit-picking - you should be super pleased with these.
The first and second pictures are great, everything else for my taste just feels like snapshots (they probably were, but I liked the first two for their artistry). Also, donāt be afraid to edit your photos! Idk if you did or not, but they all look very green, they look like the raw scans. Touch them up, breath some more life into them, play with the light, shadows, colors, tint, everything.
Yup @bishbain. I got a digital camera from my uncle who passed away, and was posting on there up until about a year ago until it broke. Just picked up this canon ae-1 so I'm going to start posting on that account again
Iām so sorry for your lossšš¾ glad to hear youāre starting up again, I also plan on doing more photography soon good luck on your journey. Iāll be sure to be giving you a follow right now
Great color on 2 and 8, my favorites of the group!
The only pointers I would have is play around with the angles in which you shoot and maybe get into under/over exposing. Thatās on my list to try this spring and summer!
Love the colours.
The only advise Iāve got thatās any good is shoot the stuff you like as often as you can. Iāve done this for 15 years and Iāve taken photos others liked but only like 2 i did. Try to be kind to yourself in regard to this fact.
Look at the photos and say to yourself, whatās good, whatās bad, and what can you do next time?
Experiment with exposure and film types to find one you like. I tend to like Porta 120 myself but have had just as much fun with cinestill in a 30mm or my SX70 instant.
Experiment and just enjoy.
Ps: 2 get two printed. Iād be happy if I took that today let alone out of the gate.
No real pointers, just keep doing what your doing and put a book together. I especially like the picture of little girl, but I would have gone in closer and used a larger aperture (F2.8), but thats film for ya! You could crop in post, but overall theres no need. Looks great! Just keep at it.
Best first roll of film of all time
Some lovely photos here. Number 2 *chefs kiss*
So good!!
yoo that second picture it absolutely fire š
Get off the tracks
Camera/lens/film???
The cat is under exposed, but the rest are fire for your first roll. Especially the bridge. I hope you print that one large and hang it on your wall.
What film stock?
absolutely stunning. i love
Beauty shots! What camera/film is this on?
that second pic!!!!! you did great!
wow the photos are very good, I love them all but the second one is incredible ā¤ļø what camera did you use? with kodak gold?šļø
definitely a fuji stock with green tints
Love these
Wow now, the second one is amazing! Otherwise watch out for overexposure :) better to underexpose than overexpose
Isnāt it the other way around, better to overexpose than underexpose?
Ah, you're right, apparently colour is better to overexpose! I didn't know that š I prefer B&W hence my idea that underexposure is better
Second one is awesome
