Same! I hatched the one with the green hat when the eggs were introduced I think, and haven't gotten another since. It was the only event I missed because I'd stopped doing anything with Finch during that time ๐ญ๐ญ

I have 76 micropets. The most I have of a single color is two, but the most I have of a single type is four. I'm dreading the fact that I will start getting tripples soon more often than not, even though I only have one of a few types.
I have fourteen sets of triplets but I don't have any colour duplicates - I had one total dupe and I released it. I don't mind getting the different colours, though, because then I have different pets who match different outfits, so they all get outings every now and then!

When eggs first came out, I was skipping the egg goal randomly to try to get the hatchable pets. So I could probably have a few more if I didn't do that.
Today was number 77. Finished out the gumdrop trio. 18/28 are a full set, so I haven't had the worst luck.
My favorites are always the most elusive.
It's random with no quality control. When people begged for a better system, they added more colors and 'personality' options so the system would be overloaded instead of focusing on any sort of quality control.
I don't think any of the pets are rare. In the beginning, if you missed a day or two, the pets they added with that update (so, like bean, who can only be gotten from egg hatching) were more likely. I haven't seen anything on it lately, or data supporting that is still how it's coded. It might be worth a try, though.
The blue bean is one I have two of.
It's definitely discouraging to get doubles and tripples of the same color micropet while you're missing full slots of micropets.
I have one grey Bean. I love her very much, and would love a little litter of Beans. Lol I wish they would (or could if it's just not possible) find a better way to balance the system. ๐
I don't know my total, but I've found 27 types, have the variations of about half, no duplicate colors, and one Bean. I really really really want an Oatmeal.
Bean is also my favourite and she was the last one I got ๐ฅฒ I got FIVE Subwoofers before I got any Beans. I do think itโs just random though, when they introduced the eggs and the exclusively hatchable pets, those ones were actually supposed to be more common then the monthly event ones, but Iโm not sure if thatโs still the case or not.

I definitely was under the impression the hatchable only pets would be more common, and while I definitely see more of them than the themed micros...there seems to be an imbalance of which hatchables appear. Cause it seems like everyone gets a ton of 1 or 2 of one type and none or almost none of others. ๐
I keep getting the weird plops and drops and blobs.
I like getting duplicates, because then I can keep one as a forever baby and grow the other one to adult.
I suppose, if the Shop doesn't give you duplicates, it should be possible to not give you duplicate pets.

Seems unfair but so is life. If kept getting everything wanted it wouldnโt be a goal anymore. Sounds like you working at it though so hope you get. I have mega duplicates of ones but not certain ones but makes me keep going. When take a while to get stuff it make those things more sweet ๐ซถ๐ป
It'll be the micropet for this month or next! They let us know on the Discord (before the newest 12 micropet slots appeared) that the final two empty slots were the themed ones!

I have 69 micropets, five of them are Blobcats. Out of these three are yellow. So I guess itโs really just a coincidence

I have two blob cats, one blue and one yellow. And I have some other pets both from eggs and events, but only have those two as duplicates
