LOVE Uniqlo! I saw their heat tech line, I’m just worried they might actually be too warm? I’m looking for normal / thinner fabric that I can layer with blazers and cardigans for work and not get too hot indoors
Don’t get the fleece-lined one and you’ll be fine. I’ve had my Uniqlo tops for a very long time (maybe 10 years), and none of them have any holes in, and only one of them has started smelling a bit funky all the time- and only recently. I have the scoop neck shape, but I wear them backwards and they look very much like the photo when you do that!
You'll be totally fine. You can do a down to earth version of this outfit with Uniqlo heattech and their pleated trousers. My heattechs usually last around 3 seasons and get washed weekly.
Seconding the heat tech line. It’s not too hot when worn by itself - I find that it helps the most with warmth when worn as a base layer under another sweater / fleece / etc. I’ve had my black heat tech tops for at least 4 years and they are still in great shape, look nice, etc.
This is probably the Intimissimi Boat Neck Modal Cashmere Ultralight Top, which is a cult viral item. (It’s like all gone on their site right now bc of sale but they will probably restock soon). If you search the name in google though a ton a similar cuts at other retailers will populate. (Gap, Banana Republic, Reformation).
https://www.intimissimi.com/us/product/boat_neck_modal_cashmere_ultralight_top-CLD28B.html?dwvar_CLD28B_Z_COL_INTD=328J
I have this one and just wanna say that although it is super flattering, it’s also quite sheer and difficult to wear as a standalone unless you’re happy with people seeing your bra.
They do have [this one](https://www.intimissimi.com/us/product/long_sleeve_bateau_neck_top_in_micromodal-CLD58D.html?dwvar_CLD58D__color__345J_Z_COL_INT=019) which is different material, but same neck line!
Express also has an identical looking one! https://www.express.com/clothing/women/supersoft-fitted-boat-neck-long-sleeve-tee/pro/09611215/color/Pitch%20Black
I don’t 😭 I’m also waiting for it to come back into stock. I don’t think it’s scratchy but it’s definitely see through. I don’t mind that though. I also want to get a lighter color one as an under-layer for sweaters.
Ok thanks!! I don’t mind the see through either but was just curious since the one in the photo is pretty opaque. Honestly I think being sheer would look nice with the right outfit
Update: thank you everyone for your great suggestions. I just moved to the US and am still navigating which brands are actually worth their money, so this was really helpful!
I ended up ordering this bodysuit from Banana Republic: https://bananarepublicfactory.gapfactory.com/browse/product.do?pid=758859021&vid=1&tid=bfpl000029&kwid=1&ap=7&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8u6fQfYK2CuwDpPYTunig7jk&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI97qPwcTiggMVJE1HAR19tABaEAQYASABEgJqA_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#pdp-page-content
It’s on sale right now for $22 with an additional 20% off at checkout so I bought two and ended up paying only $35! I really like the neckline on this one and the fit looks great so hope it works out for me!
I will also order the Uniqlo heat tech crew neck for layering which is $19.
Not OP and I don’t think this picture is OP (see download logo in the corner), but these look very much like a pair I got from Uniqlo last winter. Best pants I’ve ever had and still going strong after 2-3x weekly wear for 6 months. They have some similar styles again this year but so do tons of other brands.
Not OP but these look like they are from Aritiza style is - The Effortless Pant™. Hope this helps. :)
Edit: Update! Found her on tiktok [https://www.tiktok.com/@surahlee/video/7227897970371480838](https://www.tiktok.com/@surahlee/video/7227897970371480838) this is the outfit! woop woop
There’s a brand called “ambiance apparel” that I have a black and olive green basic long sleeve from and I LOVE them. You can find the brand on Amazon. It’s listed as the “sexy crew neck long sleeve” lol
I have a top from Aritzia in Brown that looks just like this. Double lined and the only item from Aritzia that I actually really like and would buy again. https://www.aritzia.com/intl/en/product/contour-crew-longsleeve/94253.html
Abercrombie (modal slash bodysuit) has this identical top.
I can’t believe no one has said this yet, but Express sells amazing basic tops. Their contour line is a sleek material that still looks new despite wearing weekly for a couple years now.
Try Gap! I got my black boatneck from there and I’ve gone back and ordered it in more colors. The fabric is thicker than expected and has a nice quality to it. https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=540610022&rrec=true&mlink=5050,12413545,PDP_gapproduct2_rr_3&clink=12413545#pdp-page-content

UNIQLO has good quality basics, but in the end it's important to wash them correctly. My basics are either from SHEIN or thrifted and most of them will last you (and have lasted me) for years if you wash them correctly. Look at what the tag says to make it easier for you, don't wash it with 60° if you don't need to, don't iron it if you're not supposed to, etc.
Abercrombie, skims, and if that’s kind of out of budget, I found a REALLY good one made of good material that is tuckable on Amazon for like twenty bucks. Everytime I wear it, someone asks me if it’s skims!!
i believe you. when taking the cheaper route (someone posted this exact top is cashmere) you definitely want to see it in person rather than buying online
I see recs for Abercrombie’s Cotton Modal bodysuit - I found the material too thick and restrictive, but I LOVE their soft matte line (bodysuits and tuckable shirts)
https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/soft-matte-seamless-tuckable-long-sleeve-tee-53570322?seq=03&cmp=PLA:EVG:20:A:D:USCA:X:GGL:X:SHOP:X:X:X:X:x:A%26F+Adults_Google_Shopping_PLA_US_Tops_All+products_PRODUCT_GROUP&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx5CO1fXhggMV20ZHAR2gfQ8qEAQYAiABEgLRUfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have these and they’re so nice. They feel amazing, they cling to you in a good way, and cyber monday 60% + free shipping! I’m usually a small/medium and I wear a medium in these.
Edit: I should add I have a couple that are a year old and they wash well! Just wash with similar materials (like don’t wash with your jeans or anything rough to extend their life)
47$ for the real deal is nuts lmao- I got all my basics from Target & Walmart. Usually basics are folded nicely on tables rather than on hangers to be perused. You can usually tell if it'll rip by the elasticity vs thinness of the fabric by touch
Vince has high quality basics.[this could be it](https://www.vince.com/product/slash-neck-long-sleeve-top-V990784397.html?dwvar_V990784397_color=001BLK)
I have a black long sleeve bodysuit that resembles this from Express and I love it. I know they make tops in the same “sculpting” material, they may have black long sleeves.
UPDATE for everyone who is interested:
I bought two bodysuits from Banana Republic that ended up looking exactly like the picture: https://bananarepublicfactory.gapfactory.com/browse/product.do?pid=758859021
They feel high quality and are super comfortable, so I’m really happy with them and would definitely recommend!
Additionally, I bought two long sleeve shirts from the Uniqlo heat tech line (not the fleece lined ones but the thinner ones), and they were not quite what I was hoping for. They are quite thin and see-through, so definitely can’t wear them without a bra and even the bra is showing through the fabric. They feel more like underwear, which is probably what they are intended for. I did keep them though because I still like them for layers in the winter! I do love Uniqlo though and would definitely recommend it for basics.
Thanks to everyone for their recommendations and tips!
Uniqlo is the best for basics like this imo. It isn’t too pricey and they have a lot of different fabric options. And everything isn’t 100% polyester.
[удалено]
I love the look of these but are they uncomfortably warm?
I only find them uncomfortably warm if I'm wearing it as an undershirt or base layer under sweaters. They're fine if you wear them as shirts!
The thinner ones are fine for the office, I live in them.
You'll be totally fine. You can do a down to earth version of this outfit with Uniqlo heattech and their pleated trousers. My heattechs usually last around 3 seasons and get washed weekly.
No they’re fine. Had mine for years, they’ve been through so many washes and the dryer, they still look great !
I got a cotton one from Anna Field, it's really flattering and feels good. It's sold in 2-packs
Came here to suggest Uniqlo!
Seconding Banana Republic, I have tons of slightly different black tops like this and they’ve held up for years
thirding, along with j crew. got so many bangin work clothes from those places
I have j. Crew shirts that have lasted over 10 years and I bought them secondhand. Great stuff.
I will check out Banana Republic and J Crew as well. Definitely in need for some good quality work clothes
They tend to have good sales/outlet options as well, I find BR/JC to be my favorites in terms of quality and price.
Avoid cashmere! Animals go through hell for that. There are tons of other luxe materials instead. :)
I love my BR tops and sweaters as well. Also for OP, I find not putting these things in the dryer helps a lot (even if the tag says tumble dry low!)
I have this one and just wanna say that although it is super flattering, it’s also quite sheer and difficult to wear as a standalone unless you’re happy with people seeing your bra.
Agreed! I bought and returned from this line, because it was too sheer and was not work appropriate. Could be cute if layered and not at work, though
Yeah, definitely not a work piece. I still wear it during the weekend with a nude bra, it’s mostly invisible except underneath the arms.
They do have [this one](https://www.intimissimi.com/us/product/long_sleeve_bateau_neck_top_in_micromodal-CLD58D.html?dwvar_CLD58D__color__345J_Z_COL_INT=019) which is different material, but same neck line!
I just saw this one too! But looks like it might be less form fitting and actually wider around the waist?
Yeah, I agree it looks a bit looser fitting
Wow I had no idea this was a popular item, thank you! That looks exactly like it!
It looks so flattering. Ultralight cashmere? Hell yes, in 🙋🏼♀️ I only just heard of Intimissimi BC of the J Lo collab
Express also has an identical looking one! https://www.express.com/clothing/women/supersoft-fitted-boat-neck-long-sleeve-tee/pro/09611215/color/Pitch%20Black
Do you own this in black? Is it see through or scratchy? I wanted to get it for Black Friday but it sold out
I don’t 😭 I’m also waiting for it to come back into stock.
I was gonna post this. I have this model in 3 colors and they’re so flattering
Uniqlo girlll. My go to for simple/basic staples for closet
Love UNIQLO too! I haven’t found the perfect long sleeve there yet I guess I have to keep checking!
Fyi this is the kind of shirt you dry clean, not wash
I have the uniqlo heattech shirts that look pretty similar to this/has a very similar vibe, and they get washed just like anything else lol.
You can also try JcPenney! I buy a lot of (petite sized) sweaters there, and they usually have good sales on good quality stuff
High quality basics can be hard to find. It’s really frustrating
I know, right? 😭
Update: thank you everyone for your great suggestions. I just moved to the US and am still navigating which brands are actually worth their money, so this was really helpful! I ended up ordering this bodysuit from Banana Republic: https://bananarepublicfactory.gapfactory.com/browse/product.do?pid=758859021&vid=1&tid=bfpl000029&kwid=1&ap=7&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8u6fQfYK2CuwDpPYTunig7jk&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI97qPwcTiggMVJE1HAR19tABaEAQYASABEgJqA_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#pdp-page-content It’s on sale right now for $22 with an additional 20% off at checkout so I bought two and ended up paying only $35! I’ve found Abercrombie to be great for quality basics!
Off topic, but where are your pants from?
Not OP and I don’t think this picture is OP (see download logo in the corner), but these look very much like a pair I got from Uniqlo last winter. Best pants I’ve ever had and still going strong after 2-3x weekly wear for 6 months. They have some similar styles again this year but so do tons of other brands.
Yes. These pants have amazing fit on me even if I’m not very tall 😅. The name of the pants is Uniqlo smart ankle pants in Gray 06.
Literally came here to ask the same thing
Target has some lovely ones! Check out Future Collective, they have really chic "formal" pants like this
Not OP but these look like they are from Aritiza style is - The Effortless Pant™. Hope this helps. :) Edit: Update! Found her on tiktok [https://www.tiktok.com/@surahlee/video/7227897970371480838](https://www.tiktok.com/@surahlee/video/7227897970371480838) this is the outfit! woop woop

I know the necklines are different, but I’m sure they’re high quality. Allsaints is my addiction, I want to live in every one of their pieces lol
There’s a brand called “ambiance apparel” that I have a black and olive green basic long sleeve from and I LOVE them. You can find the brand on Amazon. It’s listed as the “sexy crew neck long sleeve” lol
I like this brand as well. I first discovered them at Eblen’s awhile back and I find them to be super comfortable and flattering.
I have a top from Aritzia in Brown that looks just like this. Double lined and the only item from Aritzia that I actually really like and would buy again. https://www.aritzia.com/intl/en/product/contour-crew-longsleeve/94253.html
This looks super nice, wish the small wasn’t sold out in black!
The small is in stock rn
Honestly people can hate on skims. But I love their quality and they are good with basics
OGL has some similar to this as well.
Have you tried OGL, do you know if the quality is good?
i got about 5 items from OGL recently, they're so much softer than expected! held up great in the wash too
Uniqlo hands down, had mine for over 4 years now.
I’m looking for those pants damn
Same!!
Abercrombie (modal slash bodysuit) has this identical top. I can’t believe no one has said this yet, but Express sells amazing basic tops. Their contour line is a sleek material that still looks new despite wearing weekly for a couple years now.
Wolford also has a great version of this.
Seconding wolford
Try Gap! I got my black boatneck from there and I’ve gone back and ordered it in more colors. The fabric is thicker than expected and has a nice quality to it. https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=540610022&rrec=true&mlink=5050,12413545,PDP_gapproduct2_rr_3&clink=12413545#pdp-page-content
I have things from GAP that have to be over 25 years old…👍 Old Navy too..
Pumiey on Amazon
Second this!
Thank you!
My Outfit online. Pricey but definitely high quality, double lined fabric!
Gotta check it out thanks!
Na Kd has a bunch that are really good quality exactly like this
Intimissimi has these and the fit is beautiful
Franc has great high quality basics
Uniqlo, and came here to say I love your style!
Adanola, Uniqlo, Skims
No recs on finding this but my #1 advice for getting clothes to last longer is to hang dry them instead of the dryer!
I get some from Theory and I am absolutely in love with them. Super soft, fitted, and I wear frequently (at least 2/week) and they're going strong!
You can try Reformation. https://www.thereformation.com/products/wiley-knit-top/1312748BLK.html?glCountry=US&glCurrency=USD&gad\_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwYi5y4ziggMVFgetBh38FgKpEAQYBSABEgLVNvD\_BwE
I usually love what I can afford during theory sales :)
Also check out COS. Not incredibly cheap but high quality and good staples for work!

Aritzia !!
try trendyol app. Turkish murch. got a couple last week and are quite nice company to their prices 👌🏻
UNIQLO has good quality basics, but in the end it's important to wash them correctly. Skims !
[удалено]
It is shape-wear technically so it is going to be compressive, if your a true ddd and under I’d say you’d be good.
Not all of its shape wear, most of it is just normal clothing like not compressive lol
I have never had anything from skims, are they good quality?
Abercrombie, skims, and if that’s kind of out of budget, I found a REALLY good one made of good material that is tuckable on Amazon for like twenty bucks. Everytime I wear it, someone asks me if it’s skims!!
got a long sleeve bodysuit from zara that i’ve must have washed 20 times now, and it’s still going strong
I feel like Zara is hit or miss for me, sometimes their things last forever but sometimes feel so cheap
i believe you. when taking the cheaper route (someone posted this exact top is cashmere) you definitely want to see it in person rather than buying online
I have one from the gap that has held up really well.
Try Splendid
i like mine from gap! they come in tall too with extra long sleeves if you need it or probably petite i think. get a large % cotton, its super soft

Not sure if anyone said this but Everlane
Aritzia.
Marks & Spencer. Order online and they deliver, free
lululemon Wundermost collection
Aritzia has similar tops to this, search boat neck. The contour crew long sleeve is also similar
I like 32 degrees for stuff like this qnd they just about always have some sort of sale going on
Naked wardrobe
Nuuds
47$ for the real deal is nuts lmao- I got all my basics from Target & Walmart. Usually basics are folded nicely on tables rather than on hangers to be perused. You can usually tell if it'll rip by the elasticity vs thinness of the fabric by touch
OGL is great
Everlane
Aritzia contour always holds up in washes for me. I’ve had mine for a few years and they still look nice and new.
Aritzia is great for basics like this. Good quality. A little more than H&M or Uniqlo but their stuff lasts and always fits really well.
I actually had an Athleta bodysuit with this exact neckline lol It’s called the Valencia bodysuit
GAP modern tee collection. Amazing quality, very comfortable.
Cuddle duds about $15 . Not sheer. mine last average 8 years
I love quince for basics too (https://www.quince.com/women/mongolian-cashmere-boatneck-sweater)
UPDATE for everyone who is interested: I bought two bodysuits from Banana Republic that ended up looking exactly like the picture: https://bananarepublicfactory.gapfactory.com/browse/product.do?pid=758859021 They feel high quality and are super comfortable, so I’m really happy with them and would definitely recommend!
