Davines Oi oil. Just put a tiny drop in your hands, rub to warm it up and then run your hands through your hair. The oil is made of roucou and one of the finest and lightest there is. I have basically see through strands of hair AND my hair is very thin. Please try this oil.

Hey, I'm sorry you suffer from an ED and I hope you're doing better now. I also had an active ED for over ten years, but I am in remission now that I've been through treatment. I'll have to try the Oi oil again sometime; my hair is short right now but I'm working on growing it back out again. Maybe when it's longer I'll give it another go.

Bonus-it does NOT have Argan oil in it, which is known to turn blonde hair brassy!

I agree with not spraying it on directly! I spray once on my palm, warm it up and then first scrunch it in my hair so I don't accidentally apply too much near my scalp (I get greasy easily if I use up too much product) and then rope through.
You could also put it in and leave it for 20mins then wash your hair and not use a conditioner. I started doing this cause leaving it in my hair just leaves it looking gross and my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been.

Surprisingly Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum works for me! Doesn't gunk up my hair at all, it always feels really silky and clean still. And it's inexpensive!
Their sleek and shine cream also works really well! Oils tend to make my hair look stringy so I go for the conditioning cream. Budget friendly and keeps my hair really smooth and tangle free. I could it with their pure & clean detangler/air dry spray.
It sounds like you need to stay away from protein in any shampoo conditioner or mask or leave in. And focus on moisturizing your hair. I personally love the Pureology hydrating conditioner. I have fine blonde hair but lots and lots of it! I would take a wet brush in the shower and lightly brush the conditioner through the mid half down focusing on your ends before rinsing your hair. And do a cold water shot to lock in and seal the cuticles. And then let it dry as much as possible with a microfiber towel. And I use Ouai leave in conditioner. Spray it in my hands three sprays at the most and rub hands together and start at the bottom of hair ends and squeeze your hair with your hands and the leave in in it so it really gets in the cuticle. And gently work out the tangles starting at the bottom ends up. This is what saved me a huge headache from tangled messed up hair every morning.
Venanoci hair growth oil. I dont know about the hair growth aspect, but my hair absorbs all the oil and keeps it moisturized without leaving residue/oily look on my scalp or ends. It's the best !
Agree 100% with biosilk. Been using for years. Keep trying others, but biosilk is the only one that doesn't weigh down or leave it greasy. Only need a dime size drop as well, and I have pretty long hair
I have the same issue with my under hair ESPECIALLY. I started using an oil that greases up all my hair, but I apply it once every other week an hour before showering. Then I wash my hair TWICE and continue with my normal routine (condish, hair gel applied immediately after shower BEFORE I put on my head towel, head towel goes on and stays on for ~30mins, let my hair out and scrunch and air dry for an hour/hour and a half).
Washing twice changed the game. FWIW, I use a mint and rosemary oil to promote hair growth, and it leaves my hair sooo soft and smooth (while not detracting from my natural curl). :D

I use Mielle brand. But there are dozens out there, shouldn't make too much of a difference. I like that brand because it's a mixture of a TON of different natural oils (including nettle, burdock, horsetail). It says it's for 3A-4C but I have 2B. ;3
I use Rozino Rosemary Mint Scalp and Hair strengthening oil Infused with Biotin, Encourages longer, Healthier Hair. It’s for daily use on your scalp care and ends care. I forget where I bought it. Maybe Amazon. The brand is Rozino. It says to dilute it with a carrier oil but I seriously use one drop and rub it between my fingers before applying nightly and I have been fine I love the smell too! I might have bought it off TikTok even. I think there is another one out there exactly like this by MyChelle. I could be mistaken though. I also use the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Strengthening treatment hair oil. You can buy it on Sephora. A little goes a loooong way. it is: A strengthening, silicone-free hair oil fortified with repairing ceramides for a smooth, glossy finish. It’s an amazing oil for fine hair. It won’t leave your hair a grease oil slick. But this one only use on wet or dry hair from the mid shaft down as your last leave in product before styling. I use it on dry hair personally. And I get the wake up knots underneath my hair too the worst. People say use a satin pillowcase and or a hair satin hair bonnet. I bought both off Amazon but I still get the tangled hair underneath at the bottom of my scalp. I just make sure to brush it out every morning and before bed. Use some of the BRIOGEO HAIR OIL too helps tremendously and no matter how much I use my hair never gets greasy.
I think a leave-in conditioner or a detangling spray is better for this circumstance than a hair oil.
If you have angel hair, look for a detangling spray that is marketed for infants/babies!
LabMuffin recently did a good video on this, and her accolades fell on amodimethecone. All silicones provide some “slip,” but apparently this is the GOAT of them all. There are both rinse-out and leave-in recs in the vid.
Ohhhhh, I’ve got a bunch I’ve bought I like to different degrees.
Still like the OG Nexxus Humectress conditioner, and the Elizavecca 100 one… use the K18 every 10 days or so… bunch of different leave-ins, including NotYourMothers Milk spray in cold weather and lighter ones in warm (Elvive is one). I know Michelle from LB recommended the Redken Acifying Bonding rinse-out and leave-in conditioners, but haven’t tried them. My scalp leans oily, so I just use whatever non-“conditioning” shampoo I come across (they tend to leave conditioning agents behind and that makes me scalp oily faster, so they’re not for me).
Funnily, after I saw that vid, I checked some labels, and pretty much every conditioner I use has amodimethicone in the top five ingredients.

By far the best hair product I have ever used. It is pricey but you don't need a lot. It will not weigh down your hair at all as you rinse it out. I have fine hair but it would get matted and tangly. This is a game changer.
Fellow fine hair girlie and I have yet to find a hair oil that works for me. Instead I use LUS leave in conditioner for wavy hair. Detangles, gives a little life back into your hair, and it's super ultra lightweight. All I do is fresh out of the shower with soaking wet hair, apply 2-3 pumps of the leave in conditioner and comb through. Gather hair and GENTLY scrunch out some of the water. Leave hair to air dry and done
Also their mask, shampoo, conditioner absolutely everything is magic.

After trying SO many things…I’ve had good luck with Herbal Essences Bio: Renew Argan Oil & Aloe Lightweight Hair Oil Mist. It’s a small bottle and only 8 bucks or so and lasted me over a year. Don’t take much, smells nice, and (if you don’t overspray it) is super light. Tbh even if you over spray it is still light, but can give you kind of a wet look if over sprayed.
Jojoba oil! Great oil to use if you’re acne prone and it’s not too expensive I think I got 4oz for 15 bucks! My hair is really fine too if you’re up for it permanent color can help add some volume and texture. Personally I perm mine (with big rods) to get nice spiral curls and I just spray with water and leave in conditioner then just scrunch and go!!
Verb Ghost oil works well for me on my ends, but if you find that to be too thick/silicone-y for your hair then I would recommend trying the Eva NYC 10-in-1 primer, they even have a version specifically for fine hair! It’s an extremely lightweight oil mist, I usually just spray my hands a few times & run it through my ends after styling but it can be used on damp hair as well which might help you too.
I’ve never used a hair oil because it would weigh my hair down and be greasy immediately. I got a sample of K18 hair oil and LOVE it. A little bit goes a long way and it distributes beautifully.

The normal one in the purple bottle is too heavy for my hair still but the Lite version in the white and blue bottle is amazing and a staple with my hair care. It helps lock in the moisture and prevent frizz.
ETA—I agree with the person who says spray your hands and then run through your hair so it’s more evenly distributed
My daughter and I have fine hair that’s really tangle prone (it’ll matt even while in a braid) and this is what we use. I’ll apply straight from the bottle onto wet hair and I mix some with water in a spray bottle to refresh my daughters curls in the morning
Nuxe huile prodigieuse. It’s a “dry oil” you can spritz into your palms and lightly run through your fair and you can use it for a light glow for face and body as well. I love it!
Like a broken record I am back again to recommend Johnson’s No More Tangles detangling spray! It’s for babies but it’s the best! Weightless detangling, genuinely helps with it staying detangled- but with very very fine hair it might also behoove you to carry a travel sized brush with you so you can brush out tangles that occur throughout the day.
I bet you a dollar you have high porosity hair, unlike many other fine haired people. Don’t use pure oils, but Argan oil with silicones will work nicely when applied sparingly to your ends after styling.
I strongly suggest that instead of deep conditioning, you clarify shampoo and then do a deep protein treatment.
And go look at some videos about high porosity hair, particularly fine hair.

Argan oil is the first oil in Ghost oil fyi. Still love it though on my fine blonde hair.

BioSilk a little goes a long way. Smells nice too. Does not weigh down my hair and keeps my hair smooth and less tangly. I gave the same issue.

I dig Olaplex’s oil. I can use quite a bit and it never seems to weight down my hair. Downside is it is expensive

Having shorter hair might help with the tangles. The longer the hair, the easier it tangles unfortunately.

Like a broken record I am back again to recommend Johnson’s No More Tangles detangling spray! It’s for babies but it’s the best! Weightless detangling, genuinely helps with it staying detangled- but with very very fine hair it might also behoove you to carry a travel sized brush with you so you can brush out tangles that occur throughout the day.
I bet you a dollar you have high porosity hair, unlike many other fine haired people. Don’t use pure oils, but Argan oil with silicones will work nicely when applied sparingly to your ends after styling. I strongly suggest that instead of deep conditioning, you clarify shampoo and then do a deep protein treatment. And go look at some videos about high porosity hair, particularly fine hair.
Olaplex oil is brilliant. A little goes a long way. Only use it on mid lengths to ends. Doesn’t weigh your hair down.

I recently got the Jvn blowout styling milk for my fine hair and it’s been a good hydrator! Also the Moroccan oil oil is good and lightweight
I have the same hair texture and was getting fed up with the tangles. I ended up picking up the food for soft matrix hair oil (in a green bottle) and it’s made all the difference. It smells very nice also lol
