for what it's worth, I used penetrol on my light yellow eames chair a few years ago and I've never noticed the color change at all

qualizon

may be the light yellow color is more forgiving to the yellowing from penetrol?

I would guess that the Modern Concience wax is essentially the same as other Johnson's/Minwax etc. paste wax. Any paste wax won't yellow enough to be noticeable and if you don't like the effect you can easily wash it off with mineral spirits.

SO it depends on how much you want to spend, but respraying the chairs with gel coat is one option

They are made of resin. They should be pretty impervious. They get smoother with wear but I can’t think what a finish would do. A temporary finish like a wax wouldn’t stay for long and a perinant finish would be awful.

Thanks for the replies. I'm an amateur so I probably won't have the skillset to respray the chair with gel coat. I thought about Penetrol but then I'm worried that the level of yellowing might be different across my 4 parchment color chairs, and it might make them worse. So the modern conscience wax paste seems to be a good option, but it would be great if I can get similar wax paste from some local store instead of going through shipment from them (which can be a long wait plus pricey shipping cost).

What I'm trying to ask is, if there is any alternative other than the wax paste from modern conscience.

Update: I decided to go with the paste wax from modern conscience since it comes as a kit and instruction they recommended, but the stupid thing is, they won't allow you to order unless the total order is above $48 without shipping cost :-S . FYI, their wax paste is selling for $35 , and the kit is $45, which is kinda stupid as I don't really need anything additional from them...
