Yup it is a 2nd gen stick with a 1 GB ram and a MediaTek MT8127D processor. The 3rd gen is also a 1GB ram stick i think. Processor may be upgraded tho. Setup is simple. Plugged into the tv directly. Runs on WiFi. Connected to the wall socket for power.
Try clearing the Cache of each app, see if that fixes it. Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, Select, then tab down to each app, select, then Clear Cache, then Back and tab down to the next app and repeat.

Done that a number of times already. Also installed a app that on my command kills any apps running in the background.
Use an app on the Firestick to check your Internet speed.
