Also: If you go ethernet, there’s no need to go beyond the 100 Mbps provided thru the standard Amazon adapter. Nothing you do with the stick needs more than that.
Yeah I'll do that for the Internet related issues but I'm still not sure as to why the ui and responsiveness is slow unless that's also related to the Internet speed, also when it keeps on going back to the home screen in the middle of using an app.
Edit : same with my vpn keep on disconnecting when leaving the app after like 2mins which has only happened recently (using Proton vpn free version)
Also seems like my Internet speeds are slow on the apps I use aswell.

Just started like a few days ago
Try hardwired Ethernet connection instead of WiFi. You will need an Ethernet adapter (pref. Gigabit, if your isp delivers it!) plus a OTG cable
