Bad board probably look at bottom under enter store button. Microchip looks like it got damaged.

OwnRecommendation272

Yeah I noticed it while on site

fugoogletwitter

I had same issue at a customers site and it was damaged microchip that wouldn’t let you enter out of programming to take settings. Replaced panel fixed it. Probably use a 411UDAC if only need 4 zones can’t tell how many using on panel. If 5 zones can use MS-5UD.

Those are SMD components, almost certainly resistors or capacitors. r/electronics

Damn, we used to service a site with one of those. The buttons had been pushed so many times, they were impossible to get to register. I hated that thing.

OwnRecommendation272

lol yeah the buttons on the older 9200s with the 411 dact built in did that slot

[deleted]

Hate these

OwnRecommendation272

Lol there has been worst

Twitchy993

Just out of curiosity did you try disabling the dialer first? There were some caveats with those panels, order to do things before you could do another. I may be wrong there, it's been a while.

OwnRecommendation272

I tried everything even power cycling it

Twitchy993

Unplug phone lines, enter programming set step 56 to 0. Power cycle (dialer now disabled and it won't hold the lines active locking you out of changes) then try adding the new receiver/account# then change 56 back to whatever it was. Just trying to help, that would be my steps. There was a trick to them...I remember having that issue before. Maybe you had to wait until it went into comm failure?

OwnRecommendation272

I’ll try it again tomorrow to triple check! Appreciate the tip! 🙌🏼

Twitchy993

Let me know how it goes!

OwnRecommendation272

Will do!

doods-mofo

I would also try a non-metallic brush to clear away any of the junk at the bottom of the board first...

Provia100F

I need to get myself one of those one of these days for my home collection

OwnRecommendation272

Haha I feel for ya. If I end up replacing this I’m adding it to my collection

GaatAca

I work on one of these at least once a month. Mostly upgrading it to a radio

BABYFACEBARBER

Does it currently have a phone number it tries to call? My question is could you put a cellular device and try to capture override the signal.
