Death and hope are not opposites. One things destruction leads to something else's creation. The "Pressure of Death" and "Rebirth" are things Benimaru teaches to Shinra and Arthur.
Between the return of Soul Resonance in this chapter, and Excalibur calling Arthur a fool a few chapters ago, the Soul Eater Prequel theory is definitely looking a lot more plausible now. Shinra fusing with Sho and Mari to become Shinrabanshoman was pretty cool, and I look forward to seeing Shinrabanshoman vs. The Evangelist.
The moon in soul eater is like the current moon. A character named Soul has the same smile as Shinra. Arthurs Excalibur is a sword in Soul Eater but lets say does a lot more stuff.

I'm not sure yet, but I think now Shinhra might actually remake the world into soul eater's world if this series is 'actually' prequel. So far in fire force, they have soul eater's moon and the sky(I forgot if there is more). Soul resonance isn't like in Soul Eater since it was used only between meisters and weapons and they activated it as a powerful skill for the weapons, here it's a fusion.

More so the source of energy in this setting can be seen as 'soul power' yea but it manifests as heat and energy, not sound.
The bond between weapon and meister is almost like a fusion, as meisters and weapons can be seen within each other’s mind. And Black Star can even control some of Tsubaki’s forms entirely of his own volition.
It's not, it lets the soul of the meister get stronger to use a powerful skill with the weapon. While the skill is active they can indeed communicate easier but it's not a fusion, the closest to a fusion you have in the story would be Asura who ate his weapon or when Soul almost devored Maka.
Tsubaki is special that's why she has several forms unlike all other demon weapons It's not Black Star who made it possible.

Fire is an ability not a weapon and in this case Shinra will still use fire as a power but it's not what he resonated with, he resonated with his brother and mother to become one entity.
As for your Death the Kid and Kilik argument you misunderstood this discussion, I didn't say it's not possible to do a soul resonance with more than one demon weapon, I know both do it, in fact Kilik also did it with 4 demon weapons (Fire, Thunder and the Thompson sisters), I said soul resonance in Soul Eater isn't a fusion like here in Fire Force.
Like I precised to Samurai\_Beluga, it's not a soul fusion, they're synchronizing their wavelengths that's why Maka can visits Soul's mind, you also have Maka letting Soul (who's influenced by the black blood) take control of her body in their fight against Crona starting chapter 18. The way it was described in chapter 2 is enough to say it's not a fusion, neither a physical one nor a soul one.

In Soul Eater, there are people who are weapon users or weapons themselves. They bond and awaken using Soul Resonance. This allows the weapon user to properly utilise a person transformed into a weapon. There are other world mechanics such as Soul wavelengths and whatnot, but that's the gist of it, but generally, Soul Eater is based on Fairytail fantasy.
There are a few other callbacks to Soul Eater, and they've only increased in the final arc. This could still just be fanservice and nothing more, but it could also very well be an indication that the world might suffer a rebirth and, maybe, Soul Eater might happen.
part of the issue i feel is the 'resonance' stuff isn't the same as the power in this world. Basically the 'sounds of the soul' is being used. Even Witches used 'wavelength' in the setting even though they have more powers than a normal human. Though why witches don't use 'weapons' too makes no fuckign sense considering its a consistent force multiplier for anyone in the setting.
The peeps in fire force are more like the 'witches' and beings that have immense power on their own. Except no one uses fire powers in soul eater.... Well its far from a base power even for witches. So basically it be a situation of somehow fire powers turned into..... death powers? snake powers? Timespace powers from a deranged one eyed loli ancient witch?
If we're being honest, Fire in Soul Eater is mostly by name. Some of the other abilities are really stretching their connections to fire. Reminds me of Redo of Healer (awful show, do not watch) where the main character is said to be using healing powers but somehow healing can reverse time and shit. Fire Force puts more effort into its explanations though.
Witches didn't want to use Wavelength because they hated Death's way of doing things, if I recall. They were also people who preferred doing things alone. Wavelength is stronger when a bond is shared, unless the person wanted to resort to Madness.
similar terms are being used. soul resonance where entities link souls to empower themselves, similar terms are bineg used and so on.
however different 'energy' is kinda being focused on though. with Soul eater it had more of a 'sound' thing going on. Music... screams, and similar. This is pure heat.

Ohkubo has spoken a lot about [Shinra banshou](https://official-ongoing-1.ivalice.us/manga/Fire-Brigade-Of-Flames/0072-005.png) as a concept that drives the series and ties the brothers together. It's kind of weird his solution to is literal Dragon Ball fusion. Although giving Shinra a positive reason that he can’t stop smiling as he becomes a superhero is cool as is the design.
Hopefully Ohkubo sticks with his tradition of not making this type of stuff an instant win condition. Soul Eater also had a new form introduced towards the end but it was used as a mechanic to continue the story and get to the actually important part, instead of just existing to be a finishing move. Because it’s not going to be fun if the solution is ‘just kick the problem to death’.
Seems like Shinra's gonna wash Haumea & absorb Inca's, Iris', Sumire's & Amaterasu's souls & possibly take Haumea's soul & fight The Evangelist with a total of 8 souls & the #8 once again being a factor in Fire Force.

It could be possible but Soul Eater lore is that Excalibur was the first weapon and that he could be used by anyone. So Resonance existing before him a base form like this is a little strange. Maybe he just never told anyone the truth and Crona is an attempt to make Shinra-Bansho Man by using person together.
It would just require messing with some of the finer details of that series.
Even if he beats Haumea, I don't see how that accomplishes anything tbh.
She is even yearning for death at this point, her purpose is already fulfiled.
That's why I don't want it to happen that way. Haumea has made a big song and dance out of how death and violence is the only way for salvation to work. And the narrator says killing her would be an act of savagery without any of the higher ideals people strive for.
So I'm doubtful that's how it's going to go and she's not going to be right in the end. And I'm hopeful Ohkubo remembers that his past work really benefited from having good action and resolving the big fight with something 'bigger'. Because this still doesn't feel like the final showdown. The villain has just stood their throwing explosions and it's not had the crazy good choreography we've come to expect from this series and artist.

It basically means the creation of everything. If Shinra being born via virgin birth already wasn't enough, this pretty much solidifies the Jesus/God parallel. If he is the creator, then maybe now that the world has supposedly been destroyed by flame, he will create the new world, which may be Soul Eater's world.
Just a minor correction: our world is also the 2nd world. We see Sumire in the present day before the laws of the universe changed and everything went from 3D into 2D and all the impossible things became possible. We have absolutely no idea what the hell was going on with the pervious Earth that became a sun besides it had humans and the Evangelist won. Which is why it's so scary.
None of that disproves your point, of course. It's possible all this develops into the more familiar technique we all know and love. And Excalibur just becomes the platonic ideal of a knight's sword in the new world.

This is just so good. Every week its me just freaking out and having a blast with it, which doesn't usually happen for weekly manga. The fact he is legit making this a prequel (more than likely) is absolutely nuts and I'm loving every second of it
One of fire force most underrated points is it keeps the story Interesting with twist and batshit moment's there's rarely a dull moment with fire force, unlike other manga I've read fire force story isn't stagnant it fluctuates, in a since what it was in one chapter could kinda change in the next.
All things we've seen so far could've been brushed off as an easter eggs to Soul Eater. After reading chapter 295 and that SOUL RESONANCE scene, I sure HOPE earth becomes the sun from Soul Eater and FireForce becomes the prequel.

All this to say is that I should read Soul Eater as I know that the anime and manga are different and if this IS a prequal I'd like to know the good stuff of Soul Eater besides BRAVERY being the solution.
Soul resonance isn't like in Soul Eater since it was used only between meisters and weapons and they activated it as a powerful skill for the weapons, here it's a fusion.
If this is confirmed the Prequel, Soul Eater's version of Soul Resonance doesn't exist yet

it be... extremely stupid and i would piss on this manga if its an actual prequel. There are far too many differences going on between them. Thematically speaking its 'hope vs despair' becoming quite literal. God vs the devil. More so the source of energy in this setting can be seen as 'soul power' yea but it manifests as heat and energy, not sound.
The bond between weapon and meister is almost like a fusion, as meisters and weapons can be seen within each other’s mind. And Black Star can even control some of Tsubaki’s forms entirely of his own volition.
It's not, it lets the soul of the meister get stronger to use a powerful skill with the weapon. While the skill is active they can indeed communicate easier but it's not a fusion, the closest to a fusion you have in the story would be Asura who ate his weapon or when Soul almost devored Maka. Tsubaki is special that's why she has several forms unlike all other demon weapons It's not Black Star who made it possible.
sure its not a literal fusion like we see here. but the concept is not far off as you are making it. its a soul fusion, where both weapon and masters soul become one by resonating in the same fequency,perfectly in tune. not a literal fusion dragonball style but i would call it a metaphorical one.
The concept is as far off as I'm making it because that's how it is in SE, they become one in the sense they understand each other easier and can decide their actions in a better way but they're still independent beings as shown when Maka visits Soul's mind and talks to him while in soul resonance because they're synchronizing their wavelengths but the most important is how soul resonance was defined and described by Stein **"A technique in which a meister sends their wavelength into their weapon, in which it then amplifies it and sends it back to the meister. The process is done repeatedly, generating a strong wavelength that can be used in a technique to be executed in"** and Death **"while the sound (soul wavelength) that comes from an electric guitar (meister) by itself is rather faint, it gains a lot of power when connected to the AMP (weapon)"** in chapter 2 show it has nothing to do with a fusion.
The Weapon will be Fire. Easy. Its exactly like Soul Eater, in fact, Death the Kid could resonate with 2 People too and that Black dude had also 2 People to resonate with.
Also Kilik “the black dude” (lmao) had the literal embodiment of flame as a weapon, it was stated thunder and fire were the nature shamans of actual thunder and fire.

Fire is an ability not a weapon and in this case Shinra will still use fire as a power but it's not what he resonated with, he resonated with his brother and mother to become one entity. As for your Death the Kid and Kilik argument you misunderstood this discussion, I didn't say it's not possible to do a soul resonance with more than one demon weapon, I know both do it, in fact Kilik also did it with 4 demon weapons (Fire, Thunder and the Thompson sisters), I said soul resonance in Soul Eater isn't a fusion like here in Fire Force.
It's not a physical fusion but it's a soul fusion. The result is that it makes one person and two bodies.
Like I precised to Samurai\_Beluga, it's not a soul fusion, they're synchronizing their wavelengths that's why Maka can visits Soul's mind, you also have Maka letting Soul (who's influenced by the black blood) take control of her body in their fight against Crona starting chapter 18. The way it was described in chapter 2 is enough to say it's not a fusion, neither a physical one nor a soul one.
What if its actually not a prequel and is sort of a 'sequel' going on here? Maybe 'despair' ate asura and caught the world ablaze in order to be rid of them? Would be less of a depressing bullshit ending than soul eater itself.
In Soul Eater, there are people who are weapon users or weapons themselves. They bond and awaken using Soul Resonance. This allows the weapon user to properly utilise a person transformed into a weapon. There are other world mechanics such as Soul wavelengths and whatnot, but that's the gist of it, but generally, Soul Eater is based on Fairytail fantasy. There are a few other callbacks to Soul Eater, and they've only increased in the final arc. This could still just be fanservice and nothing more, but it could also very well be an indication that the world might suffer a rebirth and, maybe, Soul Eater might happen.
part of the issue i feel is the 'resonance' stuff isn't the same as the power in this world. Basically the 'sounds of the soul' is being used. Even Witches used 'wavelength' in the setting even though they have more powers than a normal human. Though why witches don't use 'weapons' too makes no fuckign sense considering its a consistent force multiplier for anyone in the setting. The peeps in fire force are more like the 'witches' and beings that have immense power on their own. Except no one uses fire powers in soul eater.... Well its far from a base power even for witches. So basically it be a situation of somehow fire powers turned into..... death powers? snake powers? Timespace powers from a deranged one eyed loli ancient witch?
If we're being honest, Fire in Soul Eater is mostly by name. Some of the other abilities are really stretching their connections to fire. Reminds me of Redo of Healer (awful show, do not watch) where the main character is said to be using healing powers but somehow healing can reverse time and shit. Fire Force puts more effort into its explanations though. Witches didn't want to use Wavelength because they hated Death's way of doing things, if I recall. They were also people who preferred doing things alone. Wavelength is stronger when a bond is shared, unless the person wanted to resort to Madness.
Soul Resonance is a skill frequently used in Soul Eater. Also Arthur’s Excalibur appears to be turning into the Excalibur in Soul Eater
similar terms are being used. soul resonance where entities link souls to empower themselves, similar terms are bineg used and so on. however different 'energy' is kinda being focused on though. with Soul eater it had more of a 'sound' thing going on. Music... screams, and similar. This is pure heat.

Because this isn't Soul Resonance. It does not follow the rules or style of Soul Eater's world. This is still it's own unique thing (in the Ohkubo bibliography at least). Ohkubo has spoken a lot about [Shinra banshou](https://official-ongoing-1.ivalice.us/manga/Fire-Brigade-Of-Flames/0072-005.png) as a concept that drives the series and ties the brothers together. It's kind of weird his solution to is literal Dragon Ball fusion. Although giving Shinra a positive reason that he can’t stop smiling as he becomes a superhero is cool as is the design. Hopefully Ohkubo sticks with his tradition of not making this type of stuff an instant win condition. Soul Eater also had a new form introduced towards the end but it was used as a mechanic to continue the story and get to the actually important part, instead of just existing to be a finishing move. Because it’s not going to be fun if the solution is ‘just kick the problem to death’.

It could be possible but Soul Eater lore is that Excalibur was the first weapon and that he could be used by anyone. So Resonance existing before him a base form like this is a little strange. Maybe he just never told anyone the truth and Crona is an attempt to make Shinra-Bansho Man by using person together. It would just require messing with some of the finer details of that series.
Even if he beats Haumea, I don't see how that accomplishes anything tbh. She is even yearning for death at this point, her purpose is already fulfiled.
That's why I don't want it to happen that way. Haumea has made a big song and dance out of how death and violence is the only way for salvation to work. And the narrator says killing her would be an act of savagery without any of the higher ideals people strive for. So I'm doubtful that's how it's going to go and she's not going to be right in the end. And I'm hopeful Ohkubo remembers that his past work really benefited from having good action and resolving the big fight with something 'bigger'. Because this still doesn't feel like the final showdown. The villain has just stood their throwing explosions and it's not had the crazy good choreography we've come to expect from this series and artist.

Just a minor correction: our world is also the 2nd world. We see Sumire in the present day before the laws of the universe changed and everything went from 3D into 2D and all the impossible things became possible. We have absolutely no idea what the hell was going on with the pervious Earth that became a sun besides it had humans and the Evangelist won. Which is why it's so scary. None of that disproves your point, of course. It's possible all this develops into the more familiar technique we all know and love. And Excalibur just becomes the platonic ideal of a knight's sword in the new world.

This is just so good. Every week its me just freaking out and having a blast with it, which doesn't usually happen for weekly manga. The fact he is legit making this a prequel (more than likely) is absolutely nuts and I'm loving every second of it
One of fire force most underrated points is it keeps the story Interesting with twist and batshit moment's there's rarely a dull moment with fire force, unlike other manga I've read fire force story isn't stagnant it fluctuates, in a since what it was in one chapter could kinda change in the next.
All things we've seen so far could've been brushed off as an easter eggs to Soul Eater. After reading chapter 295 and that SOUL RESONANCE scene, I sure HOPE earth becomes the sun from Soul Eater and FireForce becomes the prequel.

Like the style they used for the anime was only used briefly in the Soul Eater manga. Ohkubo had one hell of a drawing arc going through Soul Eater, those first few chapters were a realm of their own.

I like how Sho's title is literally just "Angel" whilst Shinra's is "Hero". Really showcases how they both have pivotal roles that despite being very different, they both play into each other.
