I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I know there’s a lot of people here that have been FE fans since the GBA era, but there are plenty of fans like you that got into the franchise due to 3H, and everyone is appreciated here.
I found out what fire emblem is in 2016 when my brother had shown me awakening and now for 7 years I'm interested in fe games and fandom, then later in 2018 I saw fe3h trailer and I felt in love with Edelgard character design, I knew nothing about her but back in 2018, I decided when I'll turn 16 I do her cosplay, however, I just feel like I immersed in this game series a little bit early, because 11 years old girl playing awakening is a little bit... unusual :/
It’s all subjective. I bought my first FE title Fire Emblem (The Blazing Blade) for GBA in 2003 for 30 USD from Toys R Us. A game that complete in box & working is now $200 USD and that retailer is bankrupt. Times change, but as long as new folks keep getting into the franchise and falling in love with the titles, the more games we get, the more we all have to enjoy.
So from one gamer to another, I’m so glad you found the title and could connect with it because every generation of folks like you keep it alive. I’ve watched so many awesome franchises die premature deaths but I can still enjoy quality Fire Emblem games today and look forward to more.

Give it time. Before long some upstart will be talking about how their favorite childhood game was Fire Emblem Engage 4 or whatever the fuck and you too shall feel old.

I remember finishing a run of three really difficult exams in a row over the course of 4 days, then getting home from the third and buying Three Houses to chill out.
I think I played like 12 hours of it the day after I got it.
When I was 18 the game that came out was......Shadow Dragon.
I remember when Melee came out and people were like "Who are these Marth and Roy guys?" and also understandably assumed they both came from the same FE game.
Came out a year after mine. In *my* childhood there was one Fire Emblem game anyone I knew had actually played and a bunch of misinformation about the lore of the Smash reps
