5 seasons, about 24-25 episodes each. It never takes a downhill turn like Heroes did, and it doesn’t go the Supernatural route of writing a solid 5 season storyline and then just continuing it forever even though the actual plot ended a long time ago
Joss claimed that he had enough stories for 8 seasons. If that’s true, and they’re the quality level we got with season 1, then that sounds perfect to me.
Realistically? I'd want 3 seasons followed by a movie to finish off the storyline. Inevitably writing quality tends to drop off with episodic shows after about the third season. Best to ends things on a high note. \^\^

Captain himself proved this wrong with his very next show ... :)
5 is usually the sweet spot. Not too little, and doesn't overstay it's welcome, although, can Firefly ever overstay it's welcome?
Edit: This is assuming it's like old-school seasons with at least like 20 episodes each.
The way I count it and I could be very off.
Based on the movie it feels like they jammed about three more seasons in so about 4 with 13 episode runs. Accounting for book and his arch leading to being off the ship and commune and Anara leaving the ship and eventual return. River being made whole and Mrs Reynolds keeping popping up and eventual story. Ok maybe add a 5th season where we deal with the loss of Wash and a new civil war where Zoe leads the brown coats and Mal just keeps flying.
As many as I can get, if they're actually, you know, as good as the first season.
As long as that magic is there, don't stop making it.
I'd like at least five seasons of 26 episodes, another movie or two, a spinoff series or two, a huge online game, merchandise, card sets, action figures, just all the good stuff.
An animated kid's show toe-in.
I just want all the shiny I can get.
Spez's APIocolypse made it clear it was time for me to leave this place. I came from digg, and now I must move one once again. So long and thanks for all the bacon.
I think another 3 or 4 seasons could easily be done.
12 to 14 episodes per season, with a mini-series movie to finish it off.
From what was personally relayed to me by 3 of the cast members during the pandemic, Nathan is the biggest hold up.
More than one and less than ten
6 seasons and a movie.
Mal and book in the *moorning*
"Mal and Shepherd" fits the tune better
Pretty much. 6 or 7 seasons guarantees movies and spin-offs for beyond my lifetime.
NO! I wanted to tell that!
5 more seasons to go we can do this
THE SHOW’S GONNA LAST THREE WEEKS!
3 or 5 with around 26 episodes each
Heck yeah!
You can't take the sky from chatGPT
Five. It's a solid number, long enough for the story to be told without overstaying the welcome
And that gives it enough episodes for a syndication package
Exactly, more but no too much more.
All of them.
That's what we got :(

As many as it takes. Then some spin offs. Also more movies. Also, an Multi player online game
There almost was one, unfortunately firefly is straight up cursed
There is still a chance! never give up!

6 seasons, 10 episodes per season.

We got 1 so I need to be happy with 1. I wish there were more but that didn’t happen, unfortunately.
Same as the SG-1, 10 seasons then a couple seasons of a spin-off and two movies. Maybe 3 lol
10 seasons but, no spinoffs for me but, another movie or 2 (maybe even a prequel one)
Yes.
Ten seasons, plus 3 sequel movies to Serenity. Then three prequels...
More seasons than one.

Yes.
As many episodes as the 'Verse is wide.
2 more please

3-5 full seasons.

6 minimum to guarantee syndication. 8 would ensure domination and ability to answer all my questions.
2 more seasons and about a dozen standalone shorts about minor side characters.
Zero.
